Disgusted with Trump administration - Part I

This is the deal linked to Trump's administration. It was finally completed with an unknown buyer.More than a month after Russia announced one of its biggest privatizations since the 1990s, selling a 19.5 percent stake in its giant oil company Rosneft, it still isn't possible to determine from public records the full identities of those who bought it.
The stake was sold for 10.2 billion euros to a Singapore investment vehicle that Rosneft said was a 50/50 joint venture between Qatar and the Swiss oil trading firm Glencore.
We have been duped. Impeachment and removal must follow if we are to save the Republic! -
Con_AlmaI don't have to boycott Starbucks because I've never been a patron of theirs. I don't, however, tend to appreciate corps that have to tell my in advance of what their views are on current events and how they are going to "xyz". I'd rather they just do it. If they are publicizing actives for potential "atta boys" by the consuming market....I don't want to hear it. If they are doing certain things because they genuinely believe it's the right thing.....just do it and shut up about it.
I don't spend money with corps to purchase a good or service and a diatribe about their beliefs. I just want value in the good or service I purchase. I don't want to buy they extra advertisement/press conference on their view of the world. Same goes for entertainers. Be it a liberal or conservative position, it's not what I'm looking to buy. -

Quite the dramatic response, but par for the course with liberals so far. Not a shocker.Commander of Awesome;1834953 wrote:Why anyone is still defending this sack of shit is beyond me and disgusting.

Glad to see SJWs haven't learned their lesson though. Keep doubling down and see how it goes. -
like_thatAs for Starbucks, it's a classic pr 101 move. I am not sure why anyone would be upset about it. He is a private business owner and he can hire whoever the fuck he wants. We all should be happy a private business is running their business the way they want to run it, instead of the inept Government telling them how to run it.

It's cheaper to just announce it rather than do it. If they end up actually doing it, they will double dip on the PR. If they don't end up doing it, no one will care.Con_Alma;1834956 wrote:I don't have to boycott Starbucks because I've never been a patron of theirs. That's how I look at things. But it is fun to watch QQ, a pro-business, anti-government guy, getting all "HE'S JUST TELLING HIS CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR" when that is, you know, a really big key to being successful at business and stuff.like_that;1834958 wrote:As for Starbucks, it's a classic pr 101 move. Yeah, I didn't get that either. It's pretty standard for any successful business owner.Heretic;1834961 wrote:That's how I look at things. I didn't bring it up, but I am not arguing with his right or ability to interchange with his customers and/or the public. I just tend to not support organizations that have a big liberal bent. This case is particularly funny because the majority of his base sitting in his stores are the "I-don't-think-CEO's-should-be-able-to-make-so-much-money, it's-not-fair" crowd. If they want to give him their coffee money for his mega salary and hundreds of millions in options, have at it. Just ironic.Heretic;1834961 wrote:That's how I look at things. Reasonable. We vote with our dollars.Con_Alma;1834963 wrote:..which is one of the reasons I run from corps making such announcements and don't want to hear it. Just provide me a good product/service at a fair value.
I bought more Starbucks today as a result. I prefer to spend my dollars on companies that support human rights for all. -
Con_AlmaWe do "vote" with our dollars. I'm thankful I get to and am glad others can choose to spend theirs based on whatever reasons they so desire even if it results in supporting or boycotting Starbucks.

Reminds me of the same people who cried immediately after Trump won (not to mention before he won). All marching and crying in their liberal bubble cities without seeing the irony.Commander of Awesome;1834966 wrote:What a bunch of crybaby SJW's!!!

The political landscape is polarizing enough (trump has a 89% approval rating from republicans.... in contrast the numbers were also thus polarizing with obama), so liberals should keep inventing terms such as soft core holocaust denial, mansplaining, White privilege, etc. That will sure persuade people to vote in another direction!!! There are actually quite a few times where I agree with liberals but their incessant dramatic cry baby hot takes and their intellectual hypocrisy is a huge turn off. I.e nobody cried about the Cuban refugees when obama reversed a 50 year law right before he left office. It's hard to take them seriously when they have been spewing the same rhetoric for 16 years about conservatives. After awhile people catch on and don't even pay attention. Trump is the culmination of all that bullshit, and if liberals keep doubling down on it I won't be shocked to see him win again. The states that won Trump the election (Michigan, PA, Ohio, Wisconsin) are loling at the liberals elitists on the east coast and wacko liberals on the west who think they know what's best for everyone else in the rest of the country.
So like I said, keep doubling down. You will only keep getting the same shit. Two shitty candidates running for office and a gridlocked congress. -

Right now its Fascism vs. Democracy. I prefer the latter; Republicans? 81% approve of Fascism. -

Correct. The misleading media once again was wrong and rushed to deliver incorrect news. Earlier they were stating mohomad was one of two shooters.ptown_trojans_1;1834982 wrote:Wrong as usual.
