Yeah, fuck compassion and helping those trying to flee. We don't want them, they are someone's else problems. Yeah, how American does that sound?

    Here is the text, https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/27/us/politics/refugee-muslim-executive-order-trump.html
Section 5 (e) states "...including when the person is a religious minority in his country of nationality facing religious persecution...."

Trump expanded that in an interview saying Christians would get the benefit of the doubt.

Look, I get it, we all want to make sure the bad guys stay out, but this makes no sense and does more harm than good. All of the terror attacks committed in the U.S. were from people that are not covered by this ban. Even women and children are covered, which makes no sense.
If I was ISIS, I would just get around this by using people from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Europe, which are not in the ban.

I do hope this is 90-120 days long, but to release this on National Holocaust Day is just a disgrace.

Don't remember reading your outrage when Obama banned Iraqis or Venezuelans.

Does that make it right today? WTF does that have to do with today?
    Stop blaming Obama.

Besides, if I remember right, that one was done in coordination with the UN as well as had input from other agencies. It was also targeted.
This was done without any input from any refugee agency, the UN, or even DHS and State.
It was also far reaching as now people with green cards are unsure if they can even return to this country.

Obama blamed Bush for 8 years. Trump should get 8 days. Also I wasn't blaming Obama just pointing out what a piece of shit hypocrite you are.

You talked 2 weeks ago about watching Obama because of your "respect for the office" now you're saying things like "Fuck you Trump." You're such a hack.

    - "Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!" - Jan. 22, tweet.

Actually, Obama's ratings in 2009 were 7 million people higher than Trump's numbers. Second-term inaugurals tend to get lower ratings, so Trump is cherry-picking the comparison.

What does 2009 have to do with 2013?

I dunno bruh, ask the writer. I'm just here to share fake newz.

2009 inauguration numbers higher than Obama's after his reelection.

Right but like most of those fact checks they aren't checking the right fact. Just leave it out ya know?

    ....
If you're truly interested in helping these people, the solution is to solve the issue in their homeland so they can return and/or stay....otherwise there's plenty of compassion to deliver to the people on the streets of the U.S. who have no home.

The people on route and with sponsors should have been allowed in, that's just bad optics. That said, compare this action to his predecessor where everything was about optics. It is kind of refreshing that a president actually will act in what he thinks is the best interest even if the optics are bad.

I have stayed off this forum purposely lately because of so much bullshit speculation and hyperbole surrounding the transition. Calm the f*** down people. I'm late to the party but some comments now that we've actually had a week of Trump's actions.......

    1) I'm going to remind everyone of the old adage that whoever plays the Nazi card automatically loses the debate. Sorry, Regressives ( oops, I mean Progressives), Trump is not Hitler, he is not going to gas Muslims, and we are not going to invade Mexico and Canada. Just STFU. Anybody who is not indoctrinated into the gobbledygook you peddle isn't going to buy it.

    2) Executive actions...I hate the way it is being used. I hated it when Obama used them, and I hate how Trump is using it. Executive actions are for minor shit to keep the country running smoothly...stuff that Congress would rubber stamp.....not to be used as an end run around Congress or to create new law out of thin air. I blame Obama who set the precedent.

    3) I am totally in agreement in prioritizing Christian refugees from war torn areas...not because they are Christians, but because they are not just being persecuted, they are being exterminated by ISIS. Their need is existential. Christians make up about 10% of the population in Syria, and yet of the refugees admitted to the U.S., 99% are muslim. That, unfortunately doesn't seem to be accidental, but rather discriminatory immigration selection.
This by the way, is nothing new....Marco Rubio brought this up over a year and a half ago, and it fell on deaf ears. You can find the figures on MSM sites, CNN, NYT that show the immigration figures, and the documentation that Christians bear a particular kind of hatred from Isis, who is trying to 'purify' the areas under their control. Despite this, the story has largely been ignored/de-emphasized/put on the back pages.

    4) This refugee crisis is a direct result of the failure of our foreign policy in the middle east and around the world.... and 8 years later, you can't blame that on GWB.

Joint Press Release Between Border Patrol and ICE Councils
As representatives of the nation's Frontline immigration officers and agents responsible for enforcing our laws and protecting our borders, we fully support and appreciate President Trump's swift and decisive action to keep the American people safe and allow law enforcement to do its job. We applaud the three executive orders he has issued to date, and are confident they will make America safer and more prosperous. Morale amongst our agents and officers has increased exponentially since the signing of the orders. The men and women of ICE and Border Patrol will work tirelessly to keep criminals, terrorists, and public safety threats out of this country, which remains the number one target in the world – and President Trump's actions now empower us to fulfill this life saving mission, and it will indeed save thousands of lives and billions of dollars.

    Hail Trump
    3 non-alternative facts:
    1. He is a comedian
    2. It was a joke
    3. You are deplorably humorless

Get the fuck out of here. Obama and the left blamed Bush until the last day. And Trump should stop. Ok. This is what y'all get. Same thing with executive orders. Also, the countries banned all came from Obama [emoji849]

Do I think trump is a dumbass? Yes. Does the media blow everything up times 1000 and then look stupid afterwards? Duh. Social media has been stupid as hell this weekend. The whole green card and people traveling thing was dumb. Should have enacted it in a couple days, not right away. But I won't be crying over refugees. And unless you complained when obama banned People or turned back automatic visas/ refugee status (Cuba weeks ago) then I don't give a shit about your feigned outrage.
