Disgusted with Trump administration - Part I

You better be careful making those types of accusations in Chicago, you'll end up being found in Lake Michigan...SportsAndLady;1882657 wrote:If it’s anything like Chicago politics, there’s probably corruption everywhere in DC. Just the other day a client was telling me that the city of Chicago paid twice as much for a construction company to do a job for the city than the other companies would have done it for. Turned out Rahm Emanuel is a silent partner in that construction company. It’s crazy how corrupt a government and it’s minions can be. -

Lol. The national media is not researching or objectively evAluating anythingsalto;1882809 wrote:No evidence? Dafuk Spock, really? Are you completely ignoring that back in the 80's the dude was banned from a mall for repeatedly attempting to pick up teens?
For all you know, those handful of women did say something back then. Now that Moore is running for Senate, the women's accusations have been uncovered, researched and examined by the national media coverage. -

The national media doesn't really have to do much at this point in time. They don't have to make the dems or repubs do much to expose themselves. Both parties are increasingly devouring their own and swallowing the bitterest of pills.salto;1882815 wrote:Thanks Donald. All media lies except Hannity, of course. Got it.
Even all-exalted Clintons have people turning on them left and right, at the very moment the focus is on Bill Clinton. It is really fascinating to watch the movers and shakers in DC's dem party whiplashing on Bill Clinton - something that most of us never saw as even having potential of happening.
If there is such a thing as a scoreboard in this climate of expose's and accusations, the dems are outscoring the repubs. And it doesn't even matter what the news organizations want. -

what the media does that is not right is as soon as they get a story they run it, if it fits their narative. If the story is wrong or not true, oh well. No redactions, no corrections. Oh well, we ruined that persons life.CenterBHSFan;1882831 wrote:The national media doesn't really have to do much at this point in time. Do you actually trust any media? Such a dumb post. No one likes Hannity.salto;1882815 wrote:Thanks Donald. All media lies except Hannity, of course. Got it.
For super current example, guy in a relationship sends a nude to some who who wanted it, she then sends it to other people which is illegal (revenge porn) and the dumbass media (Washington post at least) tried to compare it to Weiner. Fake fucking news abounds and is retarded. I don’t trust any news site.

like_thatWatching said and cc debate is hilarious, because it’s so predictable. Said is taking every predictable argument from the blind sheep leftist playbook, while CC is doing the same with the blind sheep trump supporter playbook. You can easily make a drinking game out of this, because their responses are so predictable.
Bonus lulz to said for pretending he is an intellect in the politics forum [emoji23]. Thank you all for the entertainment, please carry on! -

BBC, PBS and Wall Street Journal are probably the most trustworthy and well known. USA today isn't bad either.iclfan2;1882842 wrote:Do you actually trust any media? -

This, of course, isn't really new. Accepting a plea deal is new, but we already knew he started the SecState job early and then lied about it.isadore;1884199 wrote:The first domino falls.
Maybe we haven't heard/seen all the charges, but it's interesting there wasn't anything about his dealing with Turkey and failing to register. -

Agreed. This was long in the works. I figured the Turkey stuff would be included and surprised it is only 2 pages.gut;1884202 wrote:This, of course, isn't really new. Accepting a plea deal is new, but we already knew he started the SecState job early and then lied about it.

Maybe if he pleads guilty, there may be a longer agreement released.
I'm still waiting for Trump to eventually pardon Flynn and Manaford. -

Unless there's more we don't know, you could argue a pardon of Flynn would be justified - I don't think any of this comes up if an investigation of questionable merit, perhaps politically driven, isn't opened.ptown_trojans_1;1884205 wrote: I'm still waiting for Trump to eventually pardon Flynn and Manaford.
Manafort was under investigation as far back as 2012, I believe. He shouldn't be pardoned (not that I disagree with you that he would be). -

It depends what else is thrown in about Flynn. If this is it, sure, technically, Trump could pardon.gut;1884207 wrote:Unless there's more we don't know, you could argue a pardon of Flynn would be justified - I don't think any of this comes up if an investigation of questionable merit, perhaps politically driven, isn't opened.

But, you know as well as I do, that is a shitty PR and political move.
Then again, Trump doesn't give a shit about the optics of a political move, which is why he will do it. -

Pretty much this. I don't think he gives a shit, because I truly believe he doesn't want to be president.ptown_trojans_1;1884208 wrote:It depends what else is thrown in about Flynn. If this is it, sure, technically, Trump could pardon.

It's hard to tell any more. Hopefully he won't run for a 2nd term, which I think is a safe bet. But I doubt he wants to get impeached or thinking about stepping away for "health reasons".like_that;1884210 wrote:...because I truly believe he doesn't want to be president. -

ptown_trojans_1Well, looks like Flynn is throwing people under the bus now. Kinda kills the whole, no one talked to the Russians in the campaign/ transition line of thinking.

If it happened after the election, it's really nothing. A violation of an obscure law (which probably happens frequently with transition teams, if they were all investigated) that no one has been successfully prosecuted for. And Flynn wasn't charged under that Act, but for a process crime.ptown_trojans_1;1884219 wrote:Kinda kills the whole, no one talked to the Russians in the campaign/ transition line of thinking.
"Starting the job early" (granted, before confirmation which I don't consider trivial but the law kind of does) is LIGHT YEARS away from collusion and the whole general Russia story. -

ptown_trojans_1I'm not so sure. If this isn't a big deal, you don't lie to the FBI about it.
I'll agree that it is not directly tied into the collusion thread. But, I'll also say that may change given what Flynn spills or details to Mueller going forward.
Also, not a great look when the former campaign chair and foreign policy adviser/ National Security Adviser are arrested.
I wonder if Trump was not pressured to fire the guy, if he would still be in the job as NSA? Remember,Trump didn't want to fire him and told Comey to back off the investigation because he is a good guy. -
