So you quoted:SportsAndLady;1881616 wrote:I don't know, man. I don't think any of this looks good for Trump jr or some of these people.
1) Trump Jr. saying Wikileaks contacted him and has dirt on Clinton. So what? Reporters do that all the time. What makes this special or corrupt? Was he ever sent and in possession of actual, illegal information?
2) Asking for a comment on a story - that Trump Jr. had already commented on. How is that even worth being in the story? OK, maybe if Podesta commented - but where's the scandal in commenting on a PUBLIC story?
3) A tip about a PAC gearing up to smear them? Again, not sure where the news is in that bit.
So, to me, most of what I read in that article and everything you quoted is a giant non-starter. Now, if you want to say given Wikileaks history and that they broke the law, any communication and/or not rebuffing them is wrong. Probably not close to being illegal. Maybe the Trump team directed Wikileaks to serve as an intermediary....and that would be a crime, but nothing in that article comes anywhere near that. -

like_thatJust catching up in the news loop. (re: DTJR) My reaction to these things whether it's against the left or right normally goes from "WOW that doesn't look good" to "nothing will come out of it" in the span of less than 24 hours. I've pretty much given up and realized all of these people are above the law. Not only the real law, but the court of public opinion too, since everyone will dig into their sides when this shit happens.

QuakerOatsAll the while the largest scandal in D.C. history continues to be overlooked. The obama justice department, the FBI, and the national media all complicit in looking the other way, and scuttling any investigation into the massive criminality of Clinton Inc. And then US intel actually using a dossier, invented and paid for by a national party - DNC-, full of complete falsehoods in order to secure fisa warrants and justify a special counsel, all in order to, now, cover their tracks as we find out since Trump did the unthinkable, and won the election.
This is government corruption and criminality at the highest level. And the more FBI docs that come out, the more it is proven. And to think that the state department continues to stonewall on Clinton emails --- simply bizarre. Rosenstien needs to be fired today, and a special counsel needs to be put in place immediately to go after this incredible corruption, and it should start with the Clinton Foundation and go from there, to the FBI, to the intelligence community, to establishment politicians and bureaucrats.
The left and the swamp are literally engaged in the precise strategy that is outlined in Rules for Radicals: accuse the other side of doing exactly what you are doing.
The level of criminality and corruption is mind boggling. Every one of these bastards need to be jailed. -

Pretty much. I think the saddest thing is that the blind defenders actually think they're getting something out of the system for blindly defending their elite political groups, when the truth is they're just being used -- the whole "useful idiot" syndrome on full display. They'll support them to the ends of the earth; meanwhile the ones they're supporting will just continue to do their own thing that will benefit them and the particular special interests they're in bed with as long as humanly possible.like_that;1881652 wrote:Just catching up in the news loop. Reps for "Exhibit A-ing" the whole thing. Definition of blind support in a nutshell.friendfromlowry;1881662 wrote:See post #3763 -
QuakerOatsHas zero to do with blind support. Has everything to do with massive (government) corruption and cover-up that makes Watergate look like a playground game of marbles. Can we not get to the truth?

It's not spin - nothing you quoted is really even improper, much less illegal. That article pretty clearly demonstrates Wikileaks hounding Trump Jr - which is not unusual for reporters/media - and Trump ignoring them.SportsAndLady;1881634 wrote:Haha damn, that’s some decent spin. Lol - what crime do you believe those quotes are evidence of and why? Ignoring someone is not collusion, in fact it's pretty much the opposite of collusion. -

isadoreDonald Trump Jr. has found information that completely discredits one of the women accusing Roy Moore.
"This week, as CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski noticed, irony eluded Junior when he “liked” a tweet discrediting one of Roy Moore’s accusers — because she “has had three divorces” and “filed for bankruptcy three times.”

Getting more interesting by the minute. The FBI informant and the release of thousands of documents really pointing to massive corruption in the uranium deal and coverups at the obama DoJ and tens of millions into Clinton Inc. The true investigative journalism by John Solomon and Sara Carter is Pulitzer worthy. Hope they live to see it. -

My personal opinion is corruption runs wide and deep in Washington (just look at how many career politicians are multi-millionaires). The Clintons may be the worst, but I think the interest in investigating them is actually very low (beyond the dog & pony show) because no one else wants to go to jail or give up the gravy train.QuakerOats;1882639 wrote:Getting more interesting by the minute. -

But I'm not talking about lobbying and campaign contributions (which is perfectly legal, and IMO necessary and productive in many cases). I'm talking about actual kickbacks and quid-pro-quo.like_that;1882649 wrote:Uhhh, ya think?
If I recall correctly, Harry Reid made millions in NV real estate. We can be reasonable sure it wasn't because he was a really savvy buyer, or deep-pocketed investor, but because he pulled strings to make things happen.
More than a few politicians are grandstanding on this, but when I hear Sessions talk I keep thinking this is a can of worms they really don't want to open. And you can bet money the Clintons have all kinds of dirt on other Congress persons doing similar things. -

Yeah, it's not this party or that party, no matter what the QQs and Izzys of the world want people to think; it's the system. Politics is a profitable career for anyone at the national level for any time, regardless of the legality of that profitability.gut;1882650 wrote:But I'm not talking about lobbying and campaign contributions (which is perfectly legal, and IMO necessary and productive in many cases). SportsAndLadyIf it’s anything like Chicago politics, there’s probably corruption everywhere in DC. Just the other day a client was telling me that the city of Chicago paid twice as much for a construction company to do a job for the city than the other companies would have done it for. Turned out Rahm Emanuel is a silent partner in that construction company. It’s crazy how corrupt a government and it’s minions can be.

ptown_trojans_1The party structures are just the worst as well.
It is all about the party first, and if you toe the party line, you will be rewarded with committee positions, and be rewarded with funds to win the next election.
That puts moderates at a disadvantage as it really sucks to balk the party line as i may mean you lose funds in the reelection campaign.
The RNC/DNC and the actual internal pressure to stay in line suck ass.
I actually am refreshed by those that say screw the party and vote the opposite and voice their opposition.
As much as I disagree with him on some things, I actually like Rand Paul bucks his party a lot. -

I do not disagree. Look at the Clintons, among others, came in broke and now are worth $200 million. Sick. "Public servants" ---- what a joke.
All the more reason to be on the Trump Train and drain the swamp. The establishment is soooooooooooooooo fucking pissed that an outsider is in the WH; now we know why. There is a reason we have a $20 trillion debt; the hucksters in DC are laughing all the way to the bank.
