Has anyone from the OC been positive? I wonder who the first will be. Probably Justin.

I know 3 people that got it this week. I had only personally known one other person as in a close friend  this whole time that had it.

I haven’t gotten it (that I know of) but the doorman of my building tested positive and passed away.

Unless I become symptomatic we'll probably never know. I really have no interest in getting a test at this point.

That’s fucked up. I sincerely send prayers to his family.

I know nobody that has gotten it yet.

One of my nieces(12 years old) had it. She spent a day or two in the hospital as well. Her mom, dad, and older brother most likely had unconfirmed cases back in April.

My wife has several clients who've tested positive.

A friends dad tested positive. I would guess he’s in his mid 70s. He went into the hospital on the 4th. He has been doing good since the 5th and was put in the step down unit. If his numbers continue to improve / stay the same they say he should be released in another day or so.

More Ohio counties mandating masks. Yesterday almost matched their daily case increase high.

Anti-mask rallies coming soon?

Husted coming out next week with OHSAA guidelines.

Not cancelled yet......I could see them moving sports back a few weeks.  No reason to delay things like golf, tennis, volleyball and CC.  Football and soccer,, maybe

How hard did it hit you? Still dealing with any issues?

My wife, my son, my mom, my dad, my sister...all positive back in early April.

I was asymptomatic but probably had it too with 2 people in my house having it.

I've know several people in Maryland and in Ohio that have had the virus. No one that died thankfully.

On a down note, we had over 800 deaths today. We had about 600 last week.  That is I hope not a norm and an increase in deaths.

Our area in SC is getting hit pretty hard, but a lot of it is due to tourism. It’s a fucked up conundrum bc businesses won’t survive without it, but you also have people clearly bringing it with them. There are no good options. (We have a mask mandate and capacity limitations).

One good option I have seen is Trump suggested a tax break on vacations. It would be able to be used until 2022. It would be up to $4000 per adult and you could get a 50% tax credit on money spent on tourism. It makes sense bc tourist areas are going to be the hardest hit hopefully it makes it thru the government and places can survive until then.

My niece runs cross country and someone on the team tested positive (asymptotic and was fine) so they canceled practice today. Whoever was in that particular running group may be held out of practice for a week or two.

If the response is to cancel or close down whenever there’s a positive case, then nothing is going to happen until there’s a vaccine. I’m not saying it’s necessarily wrong to do that, but I don’t know why they are attempting to reopen anything, or have school or sports, if the immediate reaction is to stop it for days or weeks whenever someone is positive. Why would positive cases do anything but continually grow and grow at this point?

My wife had it first, then me a week later. Neither of us had respiratory issues with it, thankfully. Fever, terrible body aches, my wife had a severe headache for a few days.

My wife did not recover as quickly as me. Her stamina took a month to come back, and her sense of taste is still not what it was. I do not have any lingering issues.

At least we both have antibodies (test confirmed).

My area is big on tourists/weekenders so to speak. When the campground opened starting Memorial day it was booked all summer, but they have most bathrooms and shower houses closed which sucked.

Many of the events were cancelled and it sucks for local businesses.

There was to be fireworks on the 4th of July that take place on State grounds. The state said 'nah baby nah' so it was pushed back until Labor Day weekend to coincided with the Ring of Fire.

However, Becker Homes said "hold my beer" and offered their land right across the lake as a place to launch them. The state tried to stop the Chamber, but they had zero power to do so.   More donations poured in and it was their longest, best and most expensive they ever had.

They were still visible from the same places folks always would go and the place was PACKED, as was the lake that night full of boats.

It has been pretty busy over the weekends, but all the festivals and other gatherings have been cancelled for the most part.  A local church did hold their little shindig a couple of weeks ago tho.

We are supposed to go to Myrtle Beach in September. Even though my wife and I already had Covid, I'm not sure about going right now. We don't know what will be open, and some companies are saying if you go to certain states, you can't come back to work without quarantining for 2 weeks when you return.

We already lost a Florida trip we were supposed to take in May. I never thought it would be dragging on like this.
