If you don’t understand these measures were taken to not overwhelm the hospitals, thereby saving lives... I’m not sure what else we can tell you at this point.

Anyone read this article?

I read a similar article on the Federalist. Seems like he would just prefer to let nature run it’s course and rip through the senior population.

I’ll stick with the current method.

Yeah, I'm not saying this guy doesn't have the credentials, but he's rehashing talking points that have already been shown to be inadequate for the current pandemic.  By saying we should treat this like you treat all respiratory viruses, he's basically going back to saying, "Treat it like the flu," but the differences between this and the flu, and why treating them the same way doesn't work, were established weeks ago.

I'll side with these guys over "The College Fix," who has their bias right there in the subtitle:

I wish everyone across the country right now would all agree that when this is over and *if* things don’t turn out as bad as initially projected, your response isn’t “see it was never going to be that bad they didn’t know what they were talking about all along.” If that’s your attitude then just don’t say anything at all.

I was just telling my wife that I think when we are out of this, many many people who didn’t pay much attention to being publicly sanitized but who are now educated, we will see a decrease in common colds and flus. One of my daughters told me today that, in months past, co-workers frowned, made faces, told her she needs to build up her immunity........when she used her sleeve to open a door knob or door pull handle.

Us people who do things like that now may be less “judged” by other unconscious unsanitized.

I've always been like this and never gave a fuck about what those people think.  I am more annoyed with the people who can't practice common hygiene such as cover their mouth/nose after a cough/sneeze or simply washing your hands after using the bathroom.  Also, people who come to work sick pisses me off.  You're not a hero for coming to work sick and getting everyone else sick. I understand there are businesses/orgs out there that make people feel bad for calling in sick, but I bet they change their tune after this.

Seeing some really sick people with this at work this week. When it hits you hard, it might be your time.

You're right.  There is a guy in my office I have seen leave the bathroom without washing his hands after taking a shit.  I figured maybe these corona shit would change him.  Nope, saw him do the same thing last week.

I once saw a stupid old dude sitting at the slot machine eating a sandwich & chips, touching the machines buttons with the hand he was eating with. Ironically, he was also wearing one of these protective masks we're seeing during this pandemic because the smoke was "offensive." We scrub those buttons down with anti-bacterial swipes because god knows what people have been touching.

Saw a French doc said he thinks it's worse for the obese.

I'm sure you've seen this floating around. Maybe I should buy stock in Schweppe's?

Basically zinc and Schweppe's tonic water. He does say the HCQ is valuable.

Some of his rants are about how the media is lying -- example is the newborn in Louisiana born and died from Covid-19. The baby was preterm, and born at 22-weeks.

I had the video on in the background while at work. I tuned out some of the rants, but listened to when he'd give "suggestions" on what helps.

Yep.  He's lying about his name (using some low-level actor's name as a stage name).  His real name is Eric Napute, and he has an undergrad degree from Logan College of Chiropractic.  Homie's not a doctor at all.

Also, checking out his website, he's a fucking wackadoo.

https://www.neputewellnesscenter.com/about/

This about page has me LOLing pretty hard.  Talks about a shoulder injury causing him to miss out on his football career like he's Uncle Rico, all the while taking shots at "traditional medicine."  Says his outlook on medicine was changed when he met an unnamed chiropractor who "was able to put the shoulder into a state where it could heal itself."

LOL  This guy is loony.
