I’m not trying to be hospitalized on a ventilator because I wanted to have a stupid street parade for a 3 year olds birthday.
How is someone going to catch a disease sitting in their car and having no physical contact with anyone? There are ways to still be able to do some activities and be safe about it. Hell, one of the dumb parades I saw had police and fire depts.
If I didn’t have kids I could easily sit in my house all day. But if I want to drink a beer outside while talking to my neighbor 6 feet apart, I’m going to do it bc no one is spreading anything that way.

Ah cool the people without kids are going to start telling the people with kids how easy and simple it is to stay inside for 3-4 months straight.
To save lives, yeah it’s pretty easy. In a normal situation where there is no such thing as a coronavirus then sure that would be extremely difficult. But there’s a global pandemic where people are dying and you can’t just stay inside your house (or go on a walk around your neighborhood or hang in your backyard) for a few months?
But you’re also the same guy who works at a hospital during all this and still decided to go to the gym—which is probably the dumbest thing ever, sooo..

You’re getting the police involved because you’re having a stupid parade for a child’s birthday party. They don’t know what’s going on but they have to come out and investigate because there’s a stay at home order and people are getting in their cars and driving down the street to wish happy birthday to a kid. It’s pretty stupid if you ask me.
And I never said there’s anything wrong with standing outside your house 6 feet apart from your neighbor and having a beer.

It's been easy for me. I miss my family and friends, but staying inside is not difficult.
That’s how I feel too. Obviously no one wants to be in this situation but if it means stopping the spread of a deadly disease, I’d say it’s pretty easy to do

People are wired differently. What's easy for some isn't for others.
I cannot and will not stay cooped up in my house for several months at a time. That doesn't mean I'm being irresponsible and ignoring social distancing guidelines (for the most part, I have golfed with my brother in law and didn't maintain a full 6 feet the entire time), but fuck if I'm going to lock myself in my house for 2+ months in spring weather.

And the more people that think like you, the longer we are going to be stuck in this coronavirus quarantine world.

I literally just said taking walks is encouraged. Playing golf with others, stupid parades for kids birthday parties, hanging out with other people because you just wanna be social is fucking stupid and will be the reason we are still in this mess in July. But hey, enjoy that spring weather I guess.

Excellent response. That being said, let me know when someone you know dies from this, and yes the argument could be potentially made. All because you can’t listen to simple instructions.

I golf with one other person in separate carts because courses are open. We don't touch, shake hands, fist bump, anything. We may get within 3 feet, which even Amy Acton said is fine, on a tee box. I'm not doing anything wrong you walnut.

Oh, one night early last week our friends had to take their dog to the vet near our house. So on the way home they stopped in front of our house and talked with each other (from our front porch while they sat in their car) for 15-20 minutes. We must've killed at least a dozen people with that stunt, right?

Lol. Yes cuz that’s exactly what I’m saying. Sounds like you’re getting upset. I’ll drop it.

I am following all guidelines and you're acting like I'm having a fucking coronavirus party in my basement with all of my friends and family. It's like talking to a fucking wall with you sometimes.

Shut the fuck up. I don't need your lecture on the importance of staying inside. Hold on, I'll go check out what you were doing last month-- wait, I cant, you were too sad from the politics forum to be around.
And going to the gym was hardly the dumbest thing ever when that same gym will likely open in about three weeks and all the heroes who stayed inside will come back out and be just as likely to get sick. The global pandemic isn't going away just because you stayed inside til May lol. What a dumb fucking way to think.

Lol. Wow, didn’t realize me saying “stay inside” would rustle so many jimmies.
Love how you work at a hospital and still don’t understand.

You keep making fun of people for rustled jimmies when you're the posterboy for that on this site.
What don't I understand? It's a virus, it needs a vaccine to completely go away, not you staying inside for a few months. Why do you think flu vaccine education is rammed down your throat every year? And companies are working at breakneck speed to get a vaccine out on the market. You do realize all of the social distancing was to give healthcare time to prepare, right? Having a shortage of supplies - to the extent where it kills people - is the worst case scenario and what we saw other countries go through. "Flatten the curve" literally means not everyone get sick all at once so healthcare can handle it. I'm pretty sure I understand it.
I'm just as irritated by the people disregarding the rules, but get off your "stay inside, quit golfing and driving around guys!" soapbox.

You were going from a hospital to the gym, and you expect me to believe you’re upset by people not following the rules on this? Okay.
