Shaw was a possibility before we got Scott. I personally wouldn't want him, but IF Jackson comes to Cleveland, I can just see him bringing Shaw with him.Pick6;1427520 wrote:OK, now you are getting a little crazy, IMO.

KR1245I woudlnt be shocked at all to see the Cavs make a serious run at Horford or Love. Horford would be a perfect fit next to a guy like TT, I know that he has mentioned how much he likes and respects Cleveland fans in the past.
If they're not able to bring in a guy like Horford or Love I could see them targeting Porter and Len in the draft. Draft Porter at 4 and use the Lakers and other picks to move back into top 10 to grab Len -
MulvaIf gee is still starting at sf next year then something went horribly wrong in the offseason.
I'd rather go after a center in FA - pekovic (restricted) or splitter being the 2 main names I'd be interested in. -
Commander of AwesomeIf the Lakers dont make the playoffs the Cavs will get Miami's 1st rd pick, likely 30th. If LA does make the playoffs, Cavs pick btwn 16-20
Lets go Lakers! -

Actually, let's go Grizzlies and Rockets, that will give us the best pick possible.Commander of Awesome;1427686 wrote:

Correct.lhslep134;1427702 wrote:Actually, let's go Grizzlies and Rockets, that will give us the best pick possible.
Root for the Suns as well to finish in sole position of 3rd place. We lost the flip with the Hornets last season, and you know how that went for them.
And LHS, to clear up my earlier comment, I could see Shaw coming, but I dont think Phil coming as part of the package is going to happen. -
lhslep134YES! Lakers' pick is ours!!!

Woohoo tonight was a win-win -
like_thatI didn't realize a 7th seed was a possibility for the Lakers until last night. Kinda sucks that the rockets faltered that much. SMH. I will still take it over the last pick in the first round though.

lhslep1341st domino fell last night (getting the Laker's pick) second domino fell today (Scott firing)...very curious to see what happens next

Mulva19th pick is basically trash with this draft class. Hope they package it to move up 8-10 spots or package it to bring in a vet.

Thats not true at all. This draft doesnt have stars but is relatively deep from everything ive read on it. -
se-alumNext season, I would just like Kyrie to show us he isn't made of glass. That would be a good start.

I think there's a pretty big drop after the first 10-12 picks.Midstate01;1428187 wrote:Thats not true at all. This draft doesnt have stars but is relatively deep from everything ive read on it.
I don't think there's much talent disparity between 15-40 or so, and so in that way it's deep, but I don't see many guys in that group that I expect to even be starting caliber players. A few guys always exceed that, but I think we can get someone just as good at 32/33 as at 19 in this class, if that makes sense. -

IMO there's no way in hell we take more than 2 rookies out of this draft going forward, just like last year when we packaged picks to move up.Mulva;1428167 wrote:19th pick is basically trash with this draft class. Hope they package it to move up 8-10 spots or package it to bring in a vet.
Really hoping we can find a package Minnesota will take for Love without giving up too much.
We have an embarrassment of riches to play with:
2013 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers
The L.A. Lakers' own 2013 1st round draft pick to Cleveland. [Cleveland-L.A. Lakers, 3/15/2012]
2013 second round draft pick from Orlando
Orlando's own 2013 2nd round pick to Cleveland. [Cleveland - Orlando, 6/23/2011]
2014 first round draft pick from Sacramento
Sacramento's own 2014 first round draft pick to Cleveland (Top-12 protected in the 2014 NBA Draft, top-10 protected in 2015, top-10 protected in 2016 and top-10 protected in the 2017 Draft) If Cleveland has not received a first round pick from Sacramento by 2017, then Sacramento shall convey their own 2017 2nd round draft pick to Cleveland provided it is within the top-55 picks. If it is not, then Sacramento's obligation to Cleveland shall be extinguished. (Cleveland-Sacramento, 6/30/2011)
2014 second round draft pick from Memphis
Memphis' own 2014 2nd round pick to Cleveland. [Cleveland - Memphis, 7/25/2012]
2014 second round draft pick from Orlando
Orlando's own 2014 2nd round pick to Cleveland. [Cleveland - Orlando, 6/23/2011]
2015 first round draft pick from Memphis
Memphis' own 2015 first round draft pick to Cleveland (top-1-5 & 15-30 protected in 2015, top-1-5 & 15-30 protected in 2016, top-5 protected in 2017, top-5 protected in 2018 and unprotected in the 2019 Draft) (Cleveland-Memphis, 1/22/2013)
2015 first round draft pick from Miami
Miami's own 2015 1st round draft pick to Cleveland (Top 10 protected in the 2015 NBA Draft, top-10 protected in 2016 and Unprotected in the 2017 draft.) [Cleveland - Miami, 7/9/2010]
If Grant drops the ball on this one I will be furious -

I would LOL if LeBron left Miami after 2014 and the Cavs end up getting their 2017 draft pick when they are a lottery team.lhslep134;1428318 wrote:2015 first round draft pick from Miami

MulvaI could see using 3 picks on rookies, but only if one of them is an international that we plan to keep overseas for a couple years.
It sounds like GRIII, my favorite sf prospect (and the guy I was thinking of when I mentioned trading up from 19), might be headed back to school. Not sure there's anyone else I would consider to be worth trading up for. -

It's def possible. LeBron doesn't necessarily have to come to Cleveland for that to happen. Just need him to leave Miami. Or he can just tear his ACL.lhslep134;1428342 wrote:HA! that would be awesome -
Crimson streakI can definitely see Miami as a lottery team in 2017. Wade will be done by then bosh would be extinct. And if lebron is gone Miami will go back to being irrelevant

Fly4FunYa, I just fucking saw that Brown is a possibility.
The guy knows how to get players to play D. But he is so offensively clueless.
It's one thing to hire "retread" coaches, but to hire back your own retread coach? -
MulvaIt would put a damper on lebron return rumors.
