1 week til city! : thumbup:

Noticed Oyelami popped up at St. Charles; 160 will be stacked at city! : thumbup:

Didn't see Poeschel listed though, did he wrestle?
  • 80baby
I know 160 is loaded but if you want to be the best then you have to beat the best. I only advise kids where I think they should wrestle and have success. Tyler didn't wrestle he wasn't feeling well so he sat out. I've noticed that a few kids have moved into different weight classes which change some of the rankings that where posted. So there might be some changes to the rankings Thursday night after everyone has their line-ups submitted.

Changes will definitely be made (we can talk at the seeding mtg Friday). The doctor finally released Allen to return, although not sure if he will, which would alter 182/195 a bit.

Looking like it might be scratch +4 on Saturday! :RpS_angry::thumbdown:

    Coaches:

Just talked to SA and they agreed to hold the seeding mtg earlier (between 12-3pm) tomorrow if school is cancelled. I know most of us work in the district, so it shouldn't be a problem, but there are a few that do not work in the district. Can everyone make it and what time is best? I say the sooner, the better, so noon is good for me. If noon is not good for all, then 1pm, 2pm or 3pm is also good for me. El Gato Diablo should be sending an email as well. 2 days and counting!! : thumbup:
  • mcglori
That's a magnificent idea. I also appreciate the optimism of another snow day!!!
  • It is what it is
No school tomorrow........BUT........SA does it again! Said they couldn't contact the lady who runs the meet??! Herman, is that even possible??!

So, ONCE AGAIN, the powers that be fail to use common sense!! SMH

As for having the seeding meeting early Jen said that 5:00 would be the earliest that she can make it. I've had one coach tell me that he couldn't be there until 5:30 so that might be our start time. We don't know if Rick (TD) can be there earlier I'm still waiting to hear back. I'm sure that if someone hears about a change in time they will post it here and send out emails.

The best thing is that we're having out tournament tomorrow. I commend the powers to be SA for making this decision on Wed knowing what the weather was going to be like. As for our schedule depending on changes and based on the present entry grid the first round which starts at 10:00 am will have 11 matches. One of two things can happen here: 1. we would have to take a brake which could be 30 min or 2. we can go right into the second round because the first 5 weight classes don't have matches in the first round and work the other kids in after their 45 min. Then we can wrestle the second round of cons which is only a few matches and take a brake. With wrestling starting at 10:00 am that would start the semis and 3rd round of cons about High Noon. Give two hours for both round and we should be looking at the finals starting around 2:30 - 3:00. That's my educated wrestling gust based on the present number of kids in the tournament.

SA had no choice; sectionals are next weekend, so our meet couldn't be moved!

I like option 2, work other weights in and start semis at noon and finals at 3! : thumbup:
