We were #5 preseason, so expectations were met as we barely missed out on playoff.  How is it that #5 team would be championship or bust.  I would have said coming into the year that only Clemson and Alabama should have felt that way.

OSU had a new QB, lost #1 pick in the draft at the third game with a weak LB core and an inexperienced DB group.

If if you want to be disappointed about a season where we should have expected a N.C. that would be 2015, not 2018.

Agree to disagree. Championship caliber coach, heisman finalist QB, preseason top 5 ranking, and an all American DE (probably #1 overall pick). All of that and we didn’t even get to the playoffs. This rose bowl game felt like a participation trophy.

Not saying it was a “bad” year. Just that I’m certainly not going to say I’m happy with the result.

Bosa got hurt in game 3, not sure how that can be a factor.

I'm certainly not thrilled with the season, but not that disappointed. I felt last year was championship or bust.

Idk, for his career at Washington he is 923/1430 for 64.5%, 11,983 yards, 94 tds and 34 ints. His record as a starter is 39-15. I'm not saying he's the best ever but i'm not sure "so so bad" is really accurate either.

From what I read, Browning was a really good QB at one time, but as his college career went on, for whatever reason his numbers declined. I think this year was his worst year as a starter for them by far.

As for "good year, bad year", it's kind of a gray area for me. On one hand, if you said 13-1, B1G champ and Rose Bowl champ at the beginning of the year with a first-year starter with one game of legit experience (ie: not against a scrub team in the final minutes) and all that defensive turnover, I'd have called it a great season.

On the other, when you take into consideration that their one loss was a blowout to a mediocre-at-best team, they had multiple close calls against other mediocre-to-poor teams and that the PAC-12 is down to the level that it was hard for me to not look at yesterday's game as almost a "lose/lose" where if they won, they easily should have and if they lost, it'd be an embarrassing way to end things --- then winding up where they did was a bit disappointing. Because it's real easy to think, "What if they showed up at Purdue?" or "Would they have gotten by Oklahoma and Georgia to be the fourth seed if that Purdue game was a complete fluke instead of the game they did lose out of 3-4 they could have easily lost?" and then wonder how things would have turned out if they did get in.

They won, Urban gets to go out a winner with his first Rose Bowl win in as many attempts and everything seems set up for a smooth transition, so that's all cool. But, damn, it's hard to not shake the feeling that it SHOULD have been more.

It was a disappointment to see him get injured. Losing Bosa really hurt and that’s what I meant by adding that in there. I’m not “blaming” anyone for the injury, just saying it was another shitty part of this season.

Not trying to beat a dead horse, because I don't think he's the best ever but

2015 233/369 63.1% 2955 yards 16 tds and 10 ints

2016 243/391 62.1% 3430 yards 43 tds and 9 ints

2017 230/336 67.5% 2719 yards 19 tds and 5 ints

2018 252/388 64.9% 3192 yards 16 tds and 10 ints

This is part of why I think Haskins should probably go. His draft stock will never be higher and he will be losing some pretty good receivers.

Guess I was a bit off with saying this was his worst by far. He was really good as a soph and blah his other three years.

Will be interesting. He SHOULD have to sit out a year, but using racism as an excuse may help it slide by.

boom...but this also confirms Haskins will declare for the NFL draft, and contrary to what Martell says, he’ll probably be transferring as well...still...BOOM!

How many years eligibility will he have (let's say he plays full schedule next year) in the Scarlet and Gray?

Based on the current rules. IMO, no one should have to sit out a year.

He’s a true sophomore next year. I think he’ll win the hardship

Did he play in 4 games this year?  Will he be true sophomore eligibility or RS Frosh?

I may be wrong, but I believe the Spring Game was held on Easter weekend in the not too distant past...and with the LAX game being on the 20th, it wouldn't surprise me if it indeed was that weekend.
