If course OSU is going to let them hang and make it close. Finish them

This is stupid. Put this damn team away already
Urban went full Tresselball.
UW ends up with more yards.....jesus
13-1 - Big Ten Champs and win the Rose Bowl. That is a great year!

I’m an OSU fan, I don’t get excited unless they win a national championship.

That is the attitude, not saying it is a bad one, that has taken us from the glory days of the New Years day bowls to the current play-off system where the bowls are less interesting exhibitions.

Historically, it will look like a great season, but we didn't beat a good team all season and lost to a terrible team. Michigan got destroyed by an average Florida team. Penn State lost to Kentucky. What is our best win? Washington? Northwestern?
If you can’t enjoy 13-1 where we beat Michigan, win conference and bowl game you must lead perfect lives....

Michigan didn’t have top two defenders and their RB....
So it is either national championship or a lost season? That is a little absurd...

You must be fun to be around....🙄

When the preseason expectations are a nat’l championship, yeah it’s either title or bust.

.....Or Notre Dame? (Classy-smh)
BTW, your Massillon trolling negates anything serious you try to say on other threads.

Idk, for his career at Washington he is 923/1430 for 64.5%, 11,983 yards, 94 tds and 34 ints. His record as a starter is 39-15. I'm not saying he's the best ever but i'm not sure "so so bad" is really accurate either.

Obviously I would have preferred a national title but I feel pretty good about this season.

lol...smh
I know, how silly of me not to get excited that our preseason top 5 team didn’t even make it to the playoffs. I love irrelevant bowl wins over Washington. Great season guyz.
So, where do you all place Urban all time?
Edit: All time for OSU and all time in college fb history.
Urban made better what Tressel built. 1A and 1B. Woody is #2
Urban is hands down #1 for me in OSU history.
All time? Probably 2nd or 3rd. Although, his winning percentage makes a strong case for 1st.

I was going to say he should be #1 for OSU, but I have a feeling some will still say Woody. I also was going to say he is in the top 5 all time without even looking at all of the coaches. I don't think he has a strong case for #1. He is not topping Saban.
For me, it's really hard to compare Woody to Urban.
Woody had 5 national titles and 13 big ten titles. That's hard to top but it was also a different era when they voted on national titles.
I am a huge fan of Tressel but I do think Urban surpassed him. Although 2002 and undefeated was pretty special. I'm not sure the 2006 title loss to Florida doesn't make me rate Urban a little higher. Not sure if that's fair or not.
So for me
1. Woody
2. Urban
3. Tressel
Nationally, I would then include all the other success in Urban's career but I would have to think about it more because I'm not sure about other coaches historically. I do think sadly that I would have to begrudgingly rate Saban's success at Alabama and LSU over Urban's.

We were #5 preseason, so expectations were met as we barely missed out on playoff. How is it that #5 team would be championship or bust. I would have said coming into the year that only Clemson and Alabama should have felt that way.
OSU had a new QB, lost #1 pick in the draft at the third game with a weak LB core and an inexperienced DB group.
If if you want to be disappointed about a season where we should have expected a N.C. that would be 2015, not 2018.

Saban will finish his career with #1 distinction I think. Interested to see if Dabo can keep this up...I guess as long as the ACC remains weak he will have a pretty high win %

While 1961 can be debated, I personally hate tOSU claim of the 1970 title, which was from a poll awarded prior to the bowl games.
