It takes what about 1-2 seconds to turn around and lunge. If your within 7’ feet of someone with a knife your within striking distance.
So they tried to stop him. Then they tried non lethal force with a taser and that did not work. Then he went into an area with a deadly weapon while struggling with an officer. If he can’t shoot then when can he shoot once he’s already been stabbed?
My comment was meant to be facetious. No matter what happened before, when he tries to get in his car, I ventilate him.

I don’t k ow what people want the police to do in this situation except maybe fire a couple less shots.
The police tried to arrest him. He then resisted. They then tried non deadly force and unfortunately that didn’t stop him. Then still fighting with the officer he reached for a deadly weapon.
The police tried to make a normal arrest they tried to use non lethal force and then finally turned to lethal force when he went for a deadly weapon. That seems like the proper escalation.

Can a car be considered a deadly weapon?

Didn’t see him reach for a deadly weapon looked like he was trying to leave but hey to each his own
The knife was on the floorboard of the drivers seat within reach once he opened the door.

I think George Floyd was horrible policing. I think Breonna Taylor’s death is because of a horrible policy and no knock warrants should be eliminated. I have no problems with the officers in Wisconsin.

This is what I don’t get. Not sure why this was what people decided to take such a big stand on. There is obviously racial injustices in this country, but this ain’t it.

Wait. I thought it was in his hand the whole time? Did he have two knives?
I never said a knife was in his hand. The reports are that it was on the floorboard. Blame bad reporting but it doesn’t change what happened.
