Two MLB games boycotted also.

It’s not everyday when people can be proven wrong so quickly. I won’t hold my breath on any of them admitting they were wrong though.

They've been outspoken about systemic racism and injustice for a long time. It's not just about Jacob Blake. There are also a lot of people who still feel that he didn't deserve to be shot in the back seven times. I don't think they look like fools at all.

I think you're grossly underestimating the ability of the irrationally stupid to explain away the threat of the knife.

So is it time to ban open carry?

No.

Why shoot 7 times? Because you have to neutralize when threatened. I do not blame cops one bit. Never know when something can happen. People asked why he wasn't tasered, now the reports say he was and they were ineffective. What else are the cops to do? He was there when he shouldn't have been, he had a knife, he had warrants, and the cops felt threatened. I hate that it happened. I always do, no matter who it is.

This is just one of many videos on why I don't fault cops one bit on shooting, no matter how many times.

One other option would be to wait for him to turn back around after doing whatever the hell he was doing in the car. Perhaps nothing, perhaps getting a gun, or anything in between.

I don't "get" stuff like this.

"After being cornered by cops..." isn't exactly what happened. The guy was on the run for murder (the day before). He voluntarily walked into the corner (where there was also a crowd of people, who started to run shortly after he got there) and the cops were approaching him, he then shot himself.

My assumption is the video was leaked and/or released to show that cops did not kill the guy. People want "proof," but when there's proof it's now "a scare tactic, it's traumatizing, and it's in bad taste." It's really no different than releasing body cam footage.

I had no idea any of this happened when I stumbled on this 15 minutes ago or so. More rioting happened in Minneapolis because of this event overnight.

So they were saying drop the knife the whole time but the knife was in the car?

🤔

The only thing that anyone (in the public) knows is he did actually have a knife. How would you or I know if he had it the whole time or only in the car?

For a wanna be cop this 17 year old had a pretty lengthy record for being so young. If this is correct I did not personally verify it. It was on my Facebook timeline

A quick search from me says that is not him. His name is "Kyle Howard Rittenhouse" and those attached to those files is "Kyle Joseph Rittenhouse." Other validation, although he definitely could have went out of state again, those charges are all in Rock County (I'm assuming Wisconsin as there's no Rock County Illinois). Kyle lived in Lake County Illinois.

Because there is video and he doesn’t have a knife in his hand as he approaches the car? Also we just went through seven pages of you guys saying he threatened the officers with a knife?

If that means we don't have to read your dumb-as-fuck takes anymore, that's a win for everyone else here!

I'm grateful to know this.  Problem is, you're running low on options.  Much of college sports has taken its ball and gone home.  So I guess your left with arm wrestling.

Im reading lots of reports there were no body cams by any of the police officers.

Maybe defunding is not the answer.

I have a close friend who has an in with the Louisville Police Department. There is a lot more to the Breonna Taylor story than "police murdered her."

While it was a no-knock warrant, police did knock and they did identify themselves. Her boyfriend started the shooting, which I believe there were at least 10 shots fired from inside the apartment -- one striking an officer. Only then did the police return fire.

I was told that some of the shots may have came from Breonna. She was a drug trafficker.

Outside of the fact that someone lost their life, the other tragedy and should be major ramifications since the LPD didn't have their bodycams on.

Appreciate the post.  There is always more to the story, but with the cultural Marxists you have to burn down the city before the investigations and justice are completed.

Other than his constant bitching about Tiger, he never contributed to pro sports topics.  Unfortunately, there is no real net gain.

That's sadly true. We need him to get pissed off about politics and no longer want to post about that stuff to really improve things around here.

Maybe when Trump loses in a couple months. But we’re just as likely to get a “Disgusted with the Biden Addmensteation” thread instead.

It takes what about 1-2 seconds to turn around and lunge. If your within 7’ feet of someone with a knife your within striking distance.

So they tried to stop him. Then they tried non lethal force with a taser and that did not work. Then he went into an area with a deadly weapon while struggling with an officer. If he can’t shoot then when can he shoot once he’s already been stabbed?
