Now, now...don't want to say something like that or you'll get called out for it. Even though my nephew, who when he went to college seemed somewhat normal, came out a "Jill Stein Save the Whales" type, sitting around with his friends at brew pubs talking about how they'd "change the world." Same 20-something who called my sister on election night, curled up in the fetal position, literally crying about how we were "all going to die because Trump got elected."
Just because your hillbilly family members went to college and turned, gasp, liberal, doesn’t mean everyone who goes to college turns liberal. FYI.

Who pissed in your cornflakes, ASSHOLE? General consensus around here is that you returned with a butt hurt agenda, acting like the lil bitch you are, to try to stir the pot in full on dickhead mode. You were referred to as an asshole (truth) because you called me (and my family) a hillbilly (untrue).
The general content of your reply would've been fine but your "go to" has always been to drop some childish name calling, which turns it into a pissing contest/retaliation with name calling. You've done this since you've been on this site. You were notorious for doing that shit with COA.
Lol

Dems: Defund the police!
Dems: Well not defund, reform
Repubs: Ok, one of only 2 black senators created the Justice Act, offered amendments from Dems as well
Dems: Fuck you, we won't even begin to debate this bill with you.
They wouldn't even vote yes to DISCUSS the bill. None of this shit is about justice or police reform. Now the democrat house is going to put up a bill, with no republican insight, and then complain when it goes to the Senate and dies. What a dumb time to be alive.

The lawsuits need to start paying out from the police pension fund starting yesterday.

Nah, fuck that. Keep taking it from the taxpayers. Maybe one day they’ll get sick of that sort of brutality and how the lawsuits are being paid by their taxes. And maybe that’ll spark some change.
If I’m a good cop doing good in my community, I don’t want my hard earned pension to be lowered because some other cop decided to commit a felony.

Maybe the police will police each other a little better.

In the video I linked. Perhaps one or more of the officers involved would have stepped in before the son of a bitch dropped him and fractured his wrist if they had some skin in the game. Or we can keep punishing taxpayers for shitty cop behavior. Yes, let's keep doing that.

Fair point. Idk if there’s a perfect way to go about it..I do know that the majority of taxpayers probably don’t even realize those lawsuits come from their taxes. And I feel like the more they make that known, maybe it’ll incite change.
I’m pretty sure at this point cops will never self police themselves. Too much systematic bullshit for there to ever be a change. But if the community starts to turn on them, who knows maybe they will change.

Good response. You sure showed me. They def give a fuck about black people and police reform. Both sides suck dick, but the Dems get to pretend they care and then never do anything, yet get the benefit of the doubt. Where was police reform from 08-16?

I’m not saying taxpayers paying for it is right. I’m saying I think good cops paying for it is wrong. Incite change (However that may be done), and maybe we won’t have to ever have a conversation about who’s paying for lawsuits because they won’t happen anymore.

I think forcing them to carry liability insurance is a potentially good start. The worse your record as a cop is, the higher your rates. Make it so bad cops with repeat violations cannot afford to be police.
Just spitballing.

Not a bad idea. Have a portion of every cops paycheck go towards an insurance policy that will pay that lawsuit if they’re convicted of a crime On duty that leads to a lawsuit. If they go their whole career without having to have to use that lawsuit, they get a lump sum payout at retirement of all their premiums + growth, tax free.

That wouldnt age well with other large unions like teachers. Could you imagine if the general public knew you could sue the STRS for having a crappy teacher?
That’s a lousy comparison.
