Then we need to implement no-knock vaccinations!

Guessing it won’t be long +/- 30 days some stuff, even here in southern ahia will have to show vaccination card to get what you always could without….be it restaurant, big chain company…something. Can’t wait.

At Reds game with 40000 fans shoulder to shoulder in seats….large drink is $7.75, souvenir cup $9.75 but you get refills for a $1. My son buys a souvenir cup, goes back 3 innings later just to get a refill, maybe just a cup of ice……they said they weren’t allowed due to Covid. No refill, couldn’t even fill it with ice.

Minds are still lost and may never return.

I finally went into a store that actually required a mask in Texas. It was a Korean ice cream place and the lady behind the counter looked startled when I wasn’t wearing one even though the other Korean lady behind me also wasn’t wearing one.

They gave me one and I had to wear it before I could order. The ice cream was worth the 2 mins of being masked but now that I know I will probably avoid it until they drop masks

It's always great to hear your takes on how you would have played these life events we all face much more effectively than we did. Helps us learn.

A simple “no thanks” and waking out is the only worthy response if you’d rather not. It sends the message without being a prick.

I still frequent one place (Indian takeout) that requires masks to pick up food. But it’s an incredibly sweet couple about my mom’s age and they make incredible Indian food. I hate masks but I know how to pick my battles.

And also like a normal freedom loving human you knew that it was their private business decision to maintain a mask policy.

fucking bingo. true freedom includes freedom to do things you disagree with. personally i hate masks, refuse to wear one in almost anything i do. however if a business chooses to require one, and i value the business and it's freedom, i comply to keep them in business.

the evangelizing of our country is a huge fucking deterrent for me. it started with pushing back on gay marriage, black people being able to attend school with white folks, abortion and now it's progressed to masks, vaccines etc. i really am considering a move to europe just to get better versions of the socialized BS of what's inevitably going to get enacted here in the US.  i'm a republican, i hate that we are socializing more and more of our society, but i honestly feel like some of it is necessary and needs done better than what we have done (and frankly what we can do, with our representatives focused on personal gain more than global good, which is apparent if you pay attention).

How is Fauci still employed?

Because, as a doctor, he's speaking mostly from a perspective of what will save the most lives (based on current best available info).

The problem is, as a doctor it's not really his job to consider economics, or even quality of life (as in wearing a mask isn't really a quality of life issue even though we want & need to see people's faces).

The issue is Fauci has been allowed, and continues to be allowed, to be the face of the govt response and information.  Everyone's doctor will tell you to eat better, lose weight, quit drinking, etc....Most of us don't need to hear that speech/preaching on a daily basis.  It's not helpful to hear Fauci every day shaming people for not living in a bubble.

Also, in this instance he’s just suggesting you follow someone else’s guidance for what your kids should do when back in school. Plus I think a lot of schools won’t be following the mask suggestion anyways. At least initially.

Imagine living in Australia.

82k tests, 111 positives, 1 death (80 year old)

Now 900k Aussie's are under strict lockdown. Again.
