LoL if you think Germany does not regulate as much as the US.

He's the guy who's never been out of his home town, much less continent. They typically believe only America is capable of anything.

Its the same as us spending a dollar if we have $500

Ah, the old "I'm poor and stupid, so this is my idea of a good point!" argument. Never gets old!

She's sitting with her family, outside, how far away from everyone else? This is nonsense.

I'm glad the Cincinnati PD has publicly stated they will not be enforcing the mask mandate because it's not law. We shouldn't be increasing interactions with law enforcement and regular citizens because this is the dumb shit that happens. Disagree if you want, but Logan County (45k pop, 3 deaths) and Washington County (59k pop, 23 deaths) (where she was and where she's from) have had almost zero issues with covid.

I always wonder how often cops get involved in these interactions and instantly regret it. At some point he had to be thinking “this is fucking stupid why am I arresting her again?” But it’s not like he can just stop and walk away at that point.

lol, as I clicked to move to the next page, I was thinking "I am surprised somebody hasn't said this yet."

It's absurd she is getting arrested/tazed for not wearing a mask (when nobody is even near her), but also it's easy to see she would not have been tazed if she didn't resist.  I don't see why in most cases it has to be one or the other argument.  They aren't mutually exclusive.

This is why for non violent "crimes," the cop should just hand out a fine and let the person deal with it in court if he/she chooses to contest it.

What's the fine on something like this? The mask mandate is not a law, so law enforcement shouldn't be involved. This is a health department issue.

The problem here is she wasn’t arrested because she wasn’t wearing a mask she was arrested for trespassing. I’m guessing a school official wanted her off the grounds for not wearing a mask and when she wouldn’t leave it got messy.

Also if she complied we wouldn’t be talking about this today.

Call it what you want, but this was 100% over a (lack of a) mask.

From the order:

All individuals in Ohio must wear facial coverings in public at all times when:
  • At an indoor location that is not a residence
  • Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members
  • Waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, such as a taxi, a car service, or a private car used for ride-sharing.

The schools have their own policies tho?
