  Ja’les Hughes, who rushed for 1,601 yards and led Campbell Memorial to the All-American Conference Blue Tier championship, was named first team All-Ohio in Division IV on Tuesday.
  
  Hughes, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound junior, was one of eight area players named to the football all-star squad.
  
  Also on Tuesday, the Div. III All-Ohio team was announced, and 13 local players were selected.
  
  Joining Hughes on the Div. IV squad were teammates John Sikora, Richard Bledsoe and David Guidos.
  
  Sikora (5-10, 210), a senior linebacker, and Bledsoe (6-1, 180), a senior defensive back, were both named to the third team, while Guidos (5-11, 255), a senior, was named special mention
  
  Landon Smith (6-0, 180, sr.) of Girard was named to the second team in Div. IV. He caught 37 passes for 928 yards and 12 TDs this season.
  
  Other third-team selections were quarterback Anthony Franco (5-10, 180, jr.) of Lakeview, running back James Rasey (5-7, 185, sr.) of Champion, and linebacker Kyle Richey (6-0, 210, sr.) of Girard.
  
  
  Leading the Div. III honorees were Darius Patton of Poland, Trent Toothman of Salem, Marky Thompkins of East Liverpool and Blake Novotny of Hubbard. They were all named to the second team.
  
  Patton (5-10, 170, sr.) had 49 catches for 800 yards and 12 TDs for the Bulldogs.
  
  Toothman (6-2, 200, sr.) accounted for 1,293 rushing yards and 1,441 passing yards as the Quakers’ quarterback.
  
  Thompkins was also named at quarterback, while Novotny (6-2, 220, sr.) led the Eagles’ defense.
  
  Named to the third team were Cardinal Mooney teammates Charlie Brown (6-0, 200, sr.) at running back and A.J. Fox (6-2, 200, sr.) at placekicker, and Hubbard defensive back Mike Lopuchovsky (6-1, 190, sr.).
  
  Mike Rossi of Mooney, Mike King of Salem, Ryan Brown of West Branch, and East Liverpool teammates Andrew English, Kody Edwards and Willie Leavell were all named special mention.

  I hope O'Dea Does. I hope all stay.. Just look at what this season and last years teams did. We just need to make the kids understand that if transfer that does not mean life will be better down the road. Stay Home and keep this train moving along. Its bound to happen when campbell will be once again the most feared PUBLIC school again...

  Why doesn't someone turn in Mooney and/or Ursuline if you have proof that this, or any other kid is being persued? PLEASE DO IT....I would love to see some parochial schools get what they deserve.

  skank your right...im working on exactly what your saying...texts and phone calls. sometimes the parents just dont want the problems. but i did hear odea is staying.

  fecko and reardon are constantly putting pressure and texting and calling our 8th graders...and its going to stop. i truly believe the kids coming up love being red devils and love campbell. theyre are a tight knit group that wants to do something special.

  Yeah cause it getting old. I still think we have a great team coming up this year. Ja'les Shawndale ray In the backfield. I also heard rayes is a very capable Qb. I Would love to see some defense in this years team. Man could you imagine if we had a defense like 89. we would have won state and prob went 15-0

  there are rumors that zetts may take the ad job at struthers...but nothing has been confirmed. i havent heard anything about sikora

  Zetts left Struthers years ago on what was not the best of terms. But sometimes old wounds heal. We'll see. Saunders had a nice core of players returning for 2011. But perhaps there is a legit reason as to why he has resigned his head coaching job.

  very interesting...so who they looking to hire? i doubt bayuk would leave his post to go to struthers especially after he left campbell and he knew we were loaded coming up. obviously other things were at work here. zetts is a different story...but well see i guess.

  Look i don't care if he Goes.. We had some good games on offense and some not so good games on offense. And that has been Zetts MO all his time at struthers and Hubbard. He gets to conservative in the playoffs. We have Some old school coaches left in Campbell. And some Old school coached players with New school mix in Campbell. I would Love to see some old Players take over some coaching duties at Campbell. We need that on Defense.

  spread your not a struthers guy? you got me confused now lol in all honesty i really dont think anyone cares about ursulines 3 peat, lets be honest until mooney and ursuline started this run to completely recruit every kid in the tri county area in the 2000s, ursuline had less playoff success than campbell. i dont think anyone really respects those championships in the valley or out of it, its cheap, its like lebron teaming up with bosh and wade, no one really respects it. i acknowledge it happened, but its cheap to be honest. you dont have to like it but its just my opinion. if we all played by the same rules then id give ursuline alot more respect...but where are those twin linemen from? lol its not even worth arguing over im just stating how i feel, i think the rest of the state feels the same especially considering ursuline is d5. in all honesty you guys should win it every single year...and if you dont shame on you. theres no reason a school that recruits from 3 county area shouldnt beat a school that graduates 100 kids. its simple arithmetic. and we can get into this huge catholic/public argument but for what? nothings going to change. you guys win and should win, but its just cheap the way you guys do it...plain and simple. theres no pride in it.

  Cheap wins are hard to come by now a days aren't they spread? LOL typical Parochial schools think they are the best. But they are nothing more then a product of other area school systems. theft will only go unnoticed for so long. Its coming. what steals around i mean comes around goes around.
