2012 Cleveland Browns thread: AKA Pat Shurmur Memorial thread

the first 3 picks, barring a trade, will be...

    1. Luck
    2.kalil/blackmon
    3.kalil/blackmon

So which those three off the board..that leaves RG3 on the board, along with claiborne, coples, and richardson. Heckert said he wouldn't hesitate to draft a good defensive player, which could mean claiborne or coples. But with those options, I see someone wanting to trade up to get RG3. If no trade happens, I don't know who they take. Richardson is growing on me though. Seems like a can't miss RB

I think that the Redskins or Dolphins will try to leapfrog the Browns knowing there's a possibility that Cleveland takes a QB at #4.

I would bet the house that cleveland doesn't draft a qb that high.

i think it'd be more of a shock if minnesota actually kept their pick. snyder and ross won't hesitate to sell the farm

Didn't say they WERE going to take a QB at #4. Read what I said. Other teams may think the Browns are going to take a QB at 4 so they sure as Hell aren't going to call them and say "hey, can we trade up to your spot and take the QB you were planning on taking.?" No...they are going to trade with a team in the #2 or #3 spot to ensure they get their man.

With how important QBs have become, a trade up by someone almost seems inevitable. Id be shocked too if the first 4 picks are actually colts rams Vikings browns

There were a few (trade ups) last year I believe. A few of the guys who went in the 1st (Tebow, Ponder) had me scratching my head but teams are desparate.

i think the rams would sell off their pick as well. is kalil really that much better than reiff and whatever other draft picks the rams can fleece out of miami or washington?

Yes, I know what you said...just more or less making a statement about that. I wouldn't be mad with trading back, but wouldn't be mad with a pick their either.

cool, if a team trades up for rg3 that increases the chances of blackmon. i will be happy with any pick other than richardson. rg3, blackmon or claiborne

why? richardson is going to be a stud, and we can trade hillis for a draft pick

The only one of those 4 id be unhappy with would be Richardson.

You'd seriously be upset with taking blackmon? Dudes gonna be a stud!

no i love blackmon, after his bowl game im sold. a runningback is not worth at top 10 pick. they are a dime a dozen.

    hillis is a free agent.

If you LIKE Blackmon you worded this wrong.
  • shook_17
yeah you right. if a team trades up for rg3 it increases the chance of blackmon falling to us. my bad.

I'm retarded, forgot he was a free agent.

I still think richardson is immediately better than anyone we have. although keeping hillis and using him and richardson would be a nice little combo. Although i'm not sure he would want to come back to do that and for the price we would offer him.
  • BR1986FB
In that scenario the ONLY one I wouldn't consider would be Richardson.

    next AP in my opinion
  • BR1986FB
Spmeone on the OBR who's wife is pretty tight with Hillis' wife seems to think he'll be back. Seems to think they will franchise him. I call bullshit in that Hillis isn't worth top 5 money.

i agree he would be better. but seriously the way i took the presser the other day, they would be happy with hardesty and jackson. then draft a quick rb in the later rounds..

I'm happy with everything because Ive been drinking but if they don't take RGIII or Blackmon if they are on the board BR youre coming with me to Berea to kick some ass
