One of our supervisors here used to do the same thing. She didn't like asians or black people and if she thought english might not be their first language or if they had an accent she would toss their resumes.Gblock;1396349 wrote:Dawg your problem is any time you speak in absolutes about a group you cant win. does it happen at times sure, but to lump all minorities in together it sounds ignorant. there are plenty of minorities who have overcome outragous situations to be successful. there are good and bad in all types of people. and sometimes people are discriminated against, my old roomate worked at a place where if a resume came in that they thought was any type of minority especially asian they threw it in the trash.. -

You believe most black people just want a handout...probably because you think most black people are poor and unintelligent.
Like I said, it's revealing. It's starting to come together now. It's ok. It's an anonymous forum. You can let it all out. -

Dude, even in the 90's less than half of America thought interracial marriage was ok. It's getting better but the fact is there are black people alive who remember when they weren't even good enough to drink the white man's water in this country. They had to listen to the leaders of their country talk about solutions to "The negro problem" a century after the Civil War. People such as yourself still think blacks by and large just want a handout from t3h wh1tes who want to work but have their jobs given to undeserving minorities. LoLlike_that;1396338 wrote:No, I am saying if they take a second to look at the facts, they have it much better than they think they do, but they continue to bitch, because most black people expect things to be handed to them. Racism goes on both ends. I walked into a black bar in DC accidentally once, and they "suggested" I should go somewhere else. It is just funny to me when white males complain about their situation, it is not warranted, because over 200 years ago we brought in black people as slaves. I didn't realize I was alive during that time.

You are basically making his point for him...a person doesnt have to be a racist necessarily to discriminate in hiring practices..there are many differnt words, and reasons they make up to justify it. you just have to be biased which we all are to some point. based upon your comments and some others on here i wonder how unbiased you would be if you were in a position to hire. especially if you think that its possible that "most black people want things handed to them"like_that;1396386 wrote:Again, did you not see his follow up when he said blacks are born in different circumstances as white people?

Now you are just trying to put words in my mouth. Keep grasping for straws though. Also, the interracial marriage goes on both ends. Plenty of black people who don't agree with blacks marrying whites. Keep crying racism though!BoatShoes;1396388 wrote:Dude, even in the 90's less than half of America thought interracial marriage was ok. How would this scenario go? 1) White guy interviews black guy. "I like him. A lot. Other white guy I interviewed is more qualified, but something tells me this black dude is a keeper. I'll hire him."

If I was in the position to hire a black or white person, I would go with who was more qualified. It is not that difficult. I have nothing against black people but their reputation is they want handouts. Perception is reality. If a black guy is a candidate for a job I am hiring, I am not going to think "oh he is black, he wants a hand out." I am going to think "this man has a resume with his education and qualifications listed. He has worked to get to this point."Gblock;1396389 wrote:You are basically making his point for him...a person doesnt have to be a racist necessarily to discriminate in hiring practices..there are many differnt words, and reasons they make up to justify it. you just have to be biased which we all are to some point. based upon your comments and some others on here i wonder how unbiased you would be if you were in a position to hire. especially if you think that its possible that "most black people want things handed to them" -

The follow up question has no bearing on why you assumed you thought he was talking about a poor and unintelligent black person because it did not exist yet. You came to that assumption on your own accord.like_that;1396386 wrote:Again, did you not see his follow up when he said blacks are born in different circumstances as white people?

You've already admitted that you believe most blacks just want a handout in life. Can't have a much lower opinion about an entire race of people but what do I know? I'm sure you'll get shy now as this is normally how these things go but I encourage you to fight that urge as this is an anonymous forum and we can say whatever we want. I could be a tranny living in a trailer in Mansfield but here I'm free to express myself here without the judgment of others bearing consequences in my real life. Let it out, bro.
