Got to meet Sam Leccia tonight. Actually watched him wrap a cigar in front of me and hand it to me. Nice smoke. I ended up buying a box of his sticks.Autographed even.

And him talking to the crowd.

Dude was really cool for being a Pittsburgh fan an all. ;)

He looks like a drunk best man giving his speech at a hippy wedding.

Still, his cigars are good "poor man's cigars." Not too pricy, but some decent quality.

I hear he's got some new "white" cigars coming out. Curious what they'll taste like.

Just a bad pic of him as I don't believe he was even drinking.

As for the 'White' cigars I had 2 of them last night. Not including the one he handed me after I watched him put the wrapper on it. I liked it enough to buy a box of them. Believe it was $130.00 for the box.

Haven't has the 'Black' yet. I got 3 of them free when I bought the box along with a bag and a T-shirt. The Black will be available in a couple of weeks at the Jungle. I will check them out.

If you happen to ship a couple of them up my way, I'll pay you back! As far as I know, nobody here is carrying the white yet.

I might be able to make that happen. Just the White? I can probably throw in a Black if you want.

If it's not too much trouble.

I might be able to make that happen. Give me some time though as I have to have The Wife mail it off on her day off and I can't control that woman. I'll set back a black of my 3. Whites no issues. As I still have 26 of the 28 in the box.

I read that you might be in this area soon. Hit me up if you make it.

    Will do!

Just had another Leccia White after work. Very nice smoking stick. This could become a habit.

I haven't forgot about your Cigars Otrap. Need to find a container to put them in. Just came to mind, I might even ship them in the humidor that my ex son-in-law gave me at the wedding. I don't need that name and date, that's engraved on it reminding me...lol (plus I could throw on a few more sticks, like the Padilla's I won a box of)

At a tasting with The Wife. Good time. She loves the Julius Caesar. My JC will be hers it appears.

As long as you get both Padron's you still win that deal. Good sticks.

However, I do find Diamond Crown to be an underrated cigar maker. I am particularly fond of their Maximus.

Well I got mine and half of her's. She wasn't as fond of the Pardon as the JC. She even paired the drinks with the sticks and had the little nose cleaner that was passed around by the host. Very proud of here as I went my own way and had a Leccia Black and a My Father. Oh I did finish her JC. Couldn't waste that one.

Maybe this will weed her off the Acid Blondie's.
  • Curly J
Oh and the Leccia White and Black. Both good. Just a difference of flavor. The White has some White Pepper in the Flavor and The Black has some Black Pepper. Ironic right...???

Wait, does this mean what I think it means?

    Maybe...maybe not...lol.

The host was actually going from table to table with different bottles to smell to bring out different flavors of the cigar. Depending on the bottle, kinda like a palate cleaner and enhancer. Hard to explain, but it was cool none the less as The Wife got it when it came to REAL cigars.

Enjoying this morning with RP Private Cellar. 73 degrees and 14% humidity here in Grand Junction. Got to suck it in while I can.

I'm sure I'll be having plenty more sticks in this beautiful weather with some check-ins.

Decent evening here near Cincy. Wish I was having a better cigar than this Nub Cameroon. Very hard draw and the wrapper is splitting. Just got it last Thursday.
  • Curly J
And it's a Leccia White to the rescue as I put out the Nub. Wasn't worth the effort to smoke it. Don't worry OTrap I still have a couple of the Whites set back for you along with a Black. I did see they have boxes of the Black in stock now at Jungle Jim's Cigar store. Might be my next Box purchase...I'm just digging' the Whites so much right now though.

I'm going to need to buy another larger humidor, just haven't been willing to pull the trigger on the purchase. I think I should get at least a 100 count for my 'almost everyday' sticks to reside in.

I think CI has some humidors on the cheap. Like $100 or less.

As for the Whites, I was just glad you put down the Nub. Was never over-impressed with any Nub I've had.

That was my second, maybe third try at a Nub and I've never had one I truly liked. Just thought I'd give it another shot as it came in the 3 pack I bought at a tasting. Never again though. Tonight is another tasting. Man I look forward to Thursdays.
  • Curly J
I no longer need to worry about buying another humidor as I won one tonight in the raffle at the cigar tasting. Big old SOB. Easily a 100 to 150 stick holder.

Weird thing was my Cousin predicted it. He said ticket number 492 and it was 491. Just one number off. Wasn't the first time he did this either. I think it's his Navy Seal sixth sense...even though he was in Seal Team Five.

Might be true but I'd love to have the money he spent on his Seal tattoo. Oh and he loves the Leccia Whites as much as I do so we are both poor.
I believe I'm going to buy another box of the Whites now that that I have a place to put them, when I condition the new humidor. I just love them. White pepper through out the entire smoke. Weird how it doesn't change. Maybe that's what I like about it.

And now that I got a bigger humidor I do have a shipping container for your sticks to be sent in...one of these years.

No rush. Pretty cool about the humidor, though! You should put a picture of it up here.
