Finished the Mage college stuff last night. Still have part of the Thieves guild, most of the Civil War and a good bit of the main quest to do.

With the awesome distraction of getting "Find Dragon Shout Words" quests from that Arngrin Greybeard dude on top of the mountain. Some of them are weak and easy (outdoor ones where you just have to climb a mountain, kill a dragon and get the word), but others send you through cool dungeons. Took out one of those Dragon Priests doing that last night. Kind of a fun little quest, since you had to collect three dealies in the dungeon and then bring it back to a ghost to set up the fight. Can't remember the name, but it was somewhere west of Falkreath in the mountains.

My guy's gotten way too powerful for most things. Priests still can challenge me, though, because they can stay alive long enough to really put damage on me. The one I had the most trouble with was the one in Labyrinthian. Had to use an Ultimate Healing potion to get through that one.

I got about half of Mages, and most of Thieves guild to go. All of the Main story line and the Civil War to go as well. I'm somewhere in the 120 hour rage, no idea how at 75 Mr Feeny had completed all that the quests.

Possibly by focusing on the main quests and stuff. I know I did 2-3 huge loops around the world doing nothing but whatever quests random people gave me that I came across and was near 90 or so hours before I put any effort into starting any actual questline.

That's a problem with this game I believe. By the time I had 100 in a destruction/conjuration/blacksmith/enchanting and ready to make the sweet armor, I don't really use those abilities anymore because to level I have to level other stuff... like 1h, 2h, bows, etc. So now I don't use my ultra powerful stuff as to level more I gotta use other talents. It seems like a flaw in the design of the game. The flaw being that you can only level by making skills higher. So once you get your preferred skills up you have to start using other skills instead. It kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion.

I started the game doing the main quest for a few hours...Then decide to roam around going into caves and talking to people in town and doing stuff for them...I've done a lot of the quests like "take the sword to the guy at Winterhold", or "bring 2 flawless gems to some guy in Riften". I got to a point where I had like 30 open misc things under 'misc' and since I had already played like 40 hours at that point, I was able to fast travel all around and knock a ton of them out at once...

Then I did the companions group, then I did the mages guild, then the thieves guild....Did not do any dark brotherhood or civil war...

Then I finished the main quest, and now Skyrim and I are taking a break for a little bit.

I checked the wiki: Skyrim features 244 quests and over 300 points of interest.

Doing all the Theives guild missions after the main theives questline takes awhile. I'm trying to get all the vendors in the ragged falcon and the fences up to 4k gold. If you haven't done it, do it. You can make some nice coin as they say, and the theives guild becomes quite the useful place.

You mean where you do a bunch of quests in various towns like forging ledgers and stealing things from houses and then, when you've done 5 (I think) in a city, you get a quest that makes the guild influential in that city? I've gotten 3/4 cities done and, last night, finished what I think are the final two I have to do in Solitude to get its mission. At least I hope so...it's getting tiring to cancel jobs until one of the two gives me one in Solitude.

I got Skryim for Christmas, but I have not played it for a few weeks (school has been kicking my ass this quarter....and I say that as I'm talking about Skyrim :) ). The last few days I have started playing a lot again, but this is my first "real" RPG I have played so it took me a little while to decide how I wanted to peruse things. No class tomorrow, so its looking like a beer and Skryrim night.

Picked the game up after a about 6 days off. Been focusing on Mages Guild, trying to get the Staff of Magnus which sends you to labyrinth or something. Which is a Dwaren Ruin. Is it just me, or are those places a pain in the ass? They seem to just go on and on.

I'm at 10 days off now....Been playing Rayman Origins (awesome game -- total steal at it's current $20 sale price).

The dwarven ruin places are very repetitive and lengthy....They all look/feel the same and all seem to take at least an hour to go through...One of my least favorite things about the game.

I read somewhere online today that they are hoping to push out the first DLC by March --- I hope that's true.

Dwarven ruins can be fun...if there's a good plot quest there. I liked the one in Markarth where you gradually find the results of a previous expedition. Or the one west of Riften where you get the quest to return a lexicon there and see the ghosts of the previous explorers. But if you don't have that kind of thing going on, you're just in huge dungeons that drag a bit.

I've been off it for a couple days. Site I write for gave me a download key for Scarygirl, so I'm playing that. After so much Skyrim, an action platformer (retro-themed) is a nice change of pace.

Dwarven ruins are kinda fun, definitely worth it to find Blackreach though. That place is cool.

I haven't played for about a week and a half.. Been playing Battlefield 3 and NBA 2K12 quite a bit recently.

I dismissed BF3, but over the weekend I saw someone playing it on the computer and looked decent. Not a MW3 that I thought it was. If I played comp video games I would give it a look.

I'm totally sick of the COD series, but MW3 is much different. I'm loving it on the 360, was also a big fan of bad company 2.

I completed the Mages guild last night, seemed like a short questliine. Think I'll work on finishing Theives guild and misc quests before moving on to the main story line.

I think the new patch is slated to come out this week, which should fix the last patch lol. I never dled the last patch so I guess I'll have to get both when it rolls out. Also I read that DLC should start rolling out in early March, anyone have any idea what the DLC will be? I read a ruimor that it will involve going back to Cyrodiil.

    You guys still playing?

I haven't touched it since my last post -- so almost a month ago. I've been playing a ton of Rayman Origins (about an hour left to beat it tonight). Then I'm moving on to Dark Souls.

I'm ready for some Skyrim DLC, though.
