1. It is not a Muslim Ban. The 10 countries in the world with the largest Muslim population...Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco....only Iran is on the list. Think about that, 9 of the top 10 Islamic populated countries in the world are not on this list. Can you really call it a Muslim ban when the 7 countries on the list only make up 13% of the Muslim population? 87% of the Muslims in the world are living in countries that are "ok", 13% are not but it is a "Muslim ban"? You should lay off the left wing media.
2. Look at the history of this list, this list of 7 countries was agreed upon in 2011 by Obama and the republican Congress as the 7 major countries that have a propensity for terrorism. Trump did not make the list, he just took the list and put a stay on visas to this list for 3 months to properly vet them.
Stop thinking so emotionally and do your own research.
You truly sound like you only get your news from BuzzFeed or Occupy Democrats. Broaden your horizons and gather more information.
For whatever it's worth I am a libertarian, not conservative or liberal.

Commander of AwesomeThe estimated security cost for Melania living 200mi away from Trump is double the annual budget for the National Endowment for the Arts. lol way to be ficially responsible!
On Muslim Ban, it's not a "Muslim ban", it's just that one of the most powerful men in America, white nationalist Steve Bannon, thinks Muslims are worse than Nazis were.
“This is when Europe’s looking down the barrel of fascism — the rise of Mussolini in Italy, Stalin and the Russians and the communist Bolsheviks in the Soviet Union. And obviously Hitler and the Nazis,” he said. “I mean you’re looking at fascism, you’re looking at communism. And to say that — what so blows me away is the timing of it. You could look in 1938 and say, ‘Look, it’s pretty dark here in Europe right now, but there’s something actually much darker. And that is Islam.’ ”

More intelligent talk from Bannon,
"We’re going to war in the South China Sea in five to 10 years, aren’t we?” he said in March 2016. “There’s no doubt about that. They’re taking their sandbars and making basically stationary aircraft carriers and putting missiles on those. They come here to the United States in front of our face — and you understand how important face is — and say it’s an ancient territorial sea.”"
I find this type of talk and rationale from one of the most powerful men in Washington to be extremely alarming. -

rocketalumI did not vote for Trump. I don't support much of what he's done so far but I have a different political philosophy so that's be expected.
With that said I am not in hysterics over most of his moves again I think he's wrong and lacks any coherent planning or execution (see immigration EO) but such is the ebb and flow of American politics sometimes you agree with the direction, sometimes you don't. Going apeshit over every thing he does is childish and only further hurts the democrats chances of putting the pieces back together after Hillary's terrible campaign.
What I do find extremely troubling about this Administration so far is pushing unqualified billionaires in cabinet roles and the mystifying elevation of Bannon to a position of such power. Those two items should be were all the media attention is. And if I wanted to get a little conspiracy theory about it all, I'd say the wall, immigration etc... is all just smoke and mirrors to distract from these moves. In my humble opinion those are the truly troubling elements of this presidency so far.
I also just can not stand the guy and I know not being a total self aggrandizing dirtbag is not a qualification for President but I think the office deserves better. -
ptown_trojans_1NSA Flynn today put Iran "On Notice."
WTF does that mean?
How is that a policy?
Ohhh Iran, you better watch out, you are now on notice......
Does that involve moving forces into the Gulf, financial sanctions, a UN push for the violation? What?
He said exactly nothing today. -

Trump wants to go to war with either China or Iran or both. This is how the Fuhrer will remain President indefinitely. -

Or Trump could, you know, follow the constitution? Maybe don't elect billionaires with no experience to your cabinet? Maybe stop using the Press secretary as the Ministry of Truth?gut;1835293 wrote:So very true.

He provided no actual policy, other than, hey Iran, we are watching you...which is what we have been doing....
He could have offered up, something like we are coordinating with the DOD and our allies in the region to inquire into a possible response, that will be announced at a later date. Something like that would have been much better. -

With the way the immigration EO was handled its probably best thats all that was said or done. Now that Tillerson has been confirmed maybe some diplomatic avenues can start to materialize.ptown_trojans_1;1835303 wrote:Not saying that, but this is on the opposite end of the scale.

Fair. You're right you didn't call trump hitler or a fascist. I guess I was subconsciously associating you with the article. I think we are at the point we are going around in circles. I think the article was dramatic and I think the reaction from people protesting at the airport and other locations is/was dramatic. I don't know if it was in this thread or another thread, but I did indeed criticize Trump's EO. Do I think the entire EO is as terrible as some are making it out to be? No. Regardless of who was president I would have been ok with some order protecting temporary placing the refugee flow on hold an reducing the #s. Overall though it was poorly written and clearly rushed. Additionally the PR disaster with the holocaust was handled with complete incompetence.Commander of Awesome;1835250 wrote:i lol'd at this.
I don't believe I've called Trump Hitler or a fascist (though I do understand that there are some undertone similarities) , I believe you're associating the Atlantic article with this. I find most of Trump's rhetoric and EO's thus far to be very concerning and supporting him shows a lack of empathy and/or intelligence.
Also, I'm not calling for Sleeper's support, nor am I ganging up with him. He may have a post that I quote to agree with , but not budding with the tired act troll.
I'm calling out that majority of your posts are QQing about Liberals, saying "yeah well trump may be doing this, but look at obama! Where was the outcry there!" and pointing out that morons in Iowa voted for Trump. I have yet to read one post where you say something to the effect of "What trump is doing here is bullshit, or I don't agree with trump here, it's causing XYZ". You want to make that to a moral argument, guilty conscious I see.
BTW, I am sure more polls will come, so far the polls that are out have shown that the majority of Americans are in support of the EO. -
