Also sounding that we may have an update on the Watson situation as early as this evening. Sounds like the league has some meetings tomorrow and they might want to have this done before then.

Good. Then we can move on…
…to Watson’s lawsuit lol.
NFLPA really pushing this..
NFL Players Association would like for designee Peter C. Clark to conduct a hearing in appeal of Deshaun Watson disciplinary matter, per a league source. Whether Clark will hold one or instead rely upon written responses to make his decision remains unresolved, per source

All-Pro returner Jakeem Grant tore his Achilles in practice yesterday.

Despicable lifestyle in my eyes but in the field as a defensive player he’s probably my all-time favorite.
He struck out a lot ........ take that however .....

His kid's a beast too.
Oh...this is spicy.

Why is it "spicy?" If his suspension is lengthened, they bring in Jimmy Grapes as a 1 year stopgap. Grapes gets to showcase himself for teams next year and the Browns have a capable starter. It's a win win for both.
Browns have a Super Bowl caliber roster. Why waste a year of the primes of Garrett, Chubb, Ward, Teller, etc?
Do you think you could get Jimmy G on the cheap? Willing to invest MORE into Watson?

They'd likely have to eat most of his contract. They're sitting on $40+ million in cap space and I think Jimmy's cap hit is 27m. His money would come off the books next year, assuming Watson would be back.
I've already discussed a potential Kareem Hunt (and a pick) for Jimmy G with one of my coworkers. Adding Hunt to the deal would lessen the blow of the Jimmy G contract. Hunt's cap hit is 6.25m while Grapes is just shy of 27m. They'd be taking on 21m, or they could have the Niners eat some.
I lol’d
Thank you @Browns, for continuing to send the worst season ticket member gifts in the history of sports. pic.twitter.com/1Nf5jNUCUP

Two painter's caps and a license plate frame.
Didn't see the pic before I posted, but yea that's what our daughter and son in law got in a box that was delivered today. We were at their place when he opened the box. Good laughs!
Expecting to hear on this Watson ruling shortly. I'm expecting an indefinite suspension with threat, by the league, that if he tries to appeal/dig up dirt on the owners, he'll sit in 2023 also.

That sounds like blackmail and more good evidence for a lawsuit
I think Watson should agree to a settlement of playing the first 6 games of this season to try to keep his skills up and then be suspended for the rest of the season and the playoffs, a 10 million dollar fine this year, and then have his contract modified for the rest of it's term to reduce the guaranteed money by 50%.
Please let this END...
Per sources, active settlement negotiations are being conducted between the #NFL and NFLPA in the Deshaun Watson disciplinary matter with the understanding that “Harvey could drop the hammer on Watson.”

Reports out of the Browns & Eagles joint practices today have been raving about Cleveland's physicality.
"They kicked Philly's ass up and down the field today." according to a source. pic.twitter.com/12VM9Ozwxg— Nick Karns (@karnsies817) August 18, 2022

11 games and 5 mil.
crap
Have to find a way to get to 6-5 before he returns. Kind of funny his first game back is vs Houston.
Fuck Goodell
I agree with this punishment. Now it's time to unload some quality talent for JIMMY G!
