333 - I'm only half evil

It's a profession absolutely ripe to be replaced with AI that produces better results at a fraction of the cost.

This gave me pause. I've never considered the possibility or potentiality of AI replacing teachers, or even just some classes.

Biden has been on Twitter, sermonizing about how teachers need a raise.

Well, it would be interesting to see if is ever allowed to happen.

So, it's only a matter of time before the activist crowd starts pushing for another type of body dysmorphia like trans disablism (BIID). And once they get their foot in the door, they'll start pushing kids in front of them.

What's your prediction? Five years? Ten?

Bonus question:

Do you think transdisabled people will demand their own pronouns?

In a lot of respects, it already exists.  There are plenty of learning programs, for all ages, that can adapt to varying degrees to the user. I would guess for the majority of people, they are more effective than a live instructor.

Or online learning. I forget where I saw it, but you can easily find recorded lectures from renown academics. Other than being graded and getting a diploma, an elite education is available to anyone with a cheap computer and the internet.

Of course there are many, many other reasons for in-person learning. But for the most part, it doesn't include "teachers doing a job few others can do".  That's probably true of most any staff job not requiring some sort of special skill set.

Abolish the Department of Education at the federal level. That's the bare minimum first step to improving the education system. States must be able to compete, completely unencumbered by the federal government, or we're fucked.

Thomas Massie has introduced a bill that does exactly this every session. It's always one line. This year's version:

The Department of Education shall terminate on December 31, 2023.

That is the first step, and it is absolutely necessary.

One of the more surprising things is that anyone would want MORE federal govt taking decisions away from your local and state govt.  Department of Education is an excellent example.

The only reasonable explanation I've come up with is progressives have no limits on their socialism, but that really and truly only works on a federal level.  CA, for example, can't be the only state to offer free healthcare because then everyone moves there when they're sick without ever really paying in.

Then there's CA requiring products sold outside CA to still conform to CA law in order to be sold in CA.  Frankly, that shouldn't be constitutional.

This is 100% it. They must capture the entire federal government or their ideas are dead in the water. No one is voluntarily importing shit policies into their state. But when they are required by the federal government what are you gonna do?

States need to start pushing back, hard, and soon.

Libs have been more up in arms about a mentally ill, violent, homeless dude that got killed after threatening people than they were when 3 children were murdered by a trans in Nashville.

The initial headline that hit my newsfeed from CNN or maybe WaPo was something like "Michael Jackson impersonator killed on subway by Marine".  Typical.

When Mayor Adams is like "let's not rush to judgement" you know there's probably not near enough to charge the guy.

I'm not sure what to think on this. Seems excessive, but the guy was struggling. Yet, at some point when he stops struggling - and two other guys are holding his arms down - you should let up a bit so the guy can breathe.  Just saying I think involuntary should be something for a jury to decide.

McNeely had, what, 40 or 44 arrests and an active warrant? There is video of him slamming a woman into a stop subway car. He recently punched a 67 year old woman in the face and broke some bones. There was a reddit thread started 9 years ago warning about his violent behavior. It's an absolute tragedy that this happened, but the blame falls squarely on the NY Democrats and their insane policies. If cops aren't going to do anything, you're eventually going to have random citizens step in and this is going to happen. And I don't think the guy meant to kill him. They (the white guy wasn't the only one) we're attempting to subdue an erratic criminal threatening a train full of people until the police could show up. The death was clearly accidental, and yes, unfortunate. But again, all of the blame falls on the insane incentive structure built by the democrat machine in New York. It turns out if you keep releasing violent criminals, they keep committing violent crime. Crazy.

We’ve already determined that facts are racist sooo…  the guy was a piece of shit. Besides the beating of a 65 year old, he also tried to kidnap a 7 year old. It will be a travesty if the dude faces legal issues. The clown Dems that Gblock follows already started doxxing him too,

Just to further clarify on this: Objective facts is systemic racism that has been killing trans-black dwarven intersex paraplegic Jewish people for 200 years!

Dems and republicans have been ignoring the massive mental health crisis for many many years, choosing instead to vote millions and trillions of dollars to war, instead.

I don't believe any of the crocodile tears about this guy. Everybody crying these fake tears can go fuck themselves right into dehydration.

Same could be said of the Dems - the only real tears being shed is a lost vote.

I agree. I include all parties. The guy who choked him was also a vet

Which is about as relevant as the deceased being a Michael Jackson impersonator.

It's potentially a little worse for his case that he would have had training.  Maybe not exactly like a cop, but in that regard "excessive force" might be used against him.

I already said it's for a jury to decide.  Might have a bit of a chilling effect on people being a "good samaritan", but feels like this case is similar to a good guy with a gun catching a bystander with a stray bullet.  I'm just saying it's REALLY tough to defend yourself against choking a guy to death.  Although I think this guy was supposedly let up and breathing...guessing the stress triggered cardiac arrest.  Again, if he was let up AND breathing that changes things significantly.

You can want “justice” without pretending the guy was a saint (like Floyd). Sometimes shitty people die. It’s glaring who the left pretends to care about.

I don't care about the guy who did the choking or the guy who got killed. Neither one of them were my friends.

If New York hadn't adopted the policies that they have, this incident almost certainly would not have happened. I'm starting to be just cynical enough about their nonsense that it's not a stretch in my imagination at all to consider that maybe the policies are designed to create in-fighting, class warfare and general dissent. The dems absolutely THRIVE on that. They need it like they need water. We've all seen it plain as day since the "Summer of Love".

Imagine being such a loser with no life that you have the time to protest a clown dying and also blaming police who had nothing to do with it. Bring back hitting these people with billy clubs.

You know that cop was just WAITING for that guy to accidentally touch him.

Now I'm not saying a black cop is an Uncle Tom, but I can see how people might think that.

The people that think he’s an Uncle Tom are the same ones that need beaten with his club. Stop celebrating shittiness.

I know in Ohio assault on any first responder is a felony. I'm not sure if that applies in all states, though.

In a hurry and didn't google

Some of the videos of white libs protesting are hilarious. Do you have literally nothing else to do in life besides pretending to care about that loser?

And this hot take
