I'm catching up reading through things and this one made me laugh.
Serious question: Have you ever been to a pride event?
I've been going to them for almost 20 years now, from Columbus, to DC, MD, and VA. They have been full of families and great events. Hell, at one of the festivals, I signed up for Costco. I've had friends and family with their kids attend their events and it is fine.
I'm not sure if that matches whatever you are seeing on social media, but your view is laughable and sheltered to me.
I practically lived in San Francisco for years. I've seen it all from the parades to burlesque to drag queen to watching a live RuPaul theatrical show.
There IS nudity, there is kink.
But congratulations I guess on being the first adult that I am aware of and interacted in some way with who supports it.
So free and open minded. I can smell the signal.

Are you really trying to say that most PRIDE parades don’t contain nudity and other thing’s inappropriate for young children?
I hope that was a joke from our resident “centrist”.

New York state banning gas stoves and furnaces in most new buildings? Just a couple months after Shoomer called it a MAGA conspiracy theory.
Natural gas, based on my quick research, is about 2-3x cheaper than electricity. This will do absolutely nothing to address climate change. It will absolutely burden the middle and lower class, however. The climate cultists are anti-humanity and we need to start pushing back on this. The only way to solve the climate crisis, and I use "crisis" loosely because we've been in a crisis for at least 50 years now, is with free market solutions. Central planning has never worked because there is no financial incentive to get it right. It's just the perpetual accumulation of power as you continue to fail, time and time again, until you become a totalitarian state. Smart people will figure this shit out as our capabilities and technology will allow. Trying to rush a solution under the guise of a "crisis" will do nothing but create human misery, which, I think, is ultimately their goal.

I lived in DC for 7 years and was around 6 of 7 years for the Pride Parade. Did you not pay attention at the DC Pride Parade, or are you just lying about attending? There is plenty of activity at that parade that children shouldn't see.
Maybe you are thinking about when you started going 20 years ago, but in the last 10 or so years the pride parade has shifted to a sexual expression parade.

I know that, 20 years ago anyway, that in Chicago the pride parade frequently had more than a few in assless chaps. I'm sure that will come as a complete shock to some that people exist who actually do know and interact with [insert aggrieved class] can have a different opinion then them on various subjects. And it doesn't make them a bigot or homophobe simply because they think if you have a penis you should use the men's locker room. Women are to be believed...except when it involves expressing being uncomfortable with biological males in their locker room.s
I also find it odd to attend any sort of party or festival 20 years in a row. Maybe a block party or neighborhood event. May just be me, but this sounds a lot like a "look at how woke I am going to the pride parade every year to support them!".

We happened to be in Chicago for pride weekend 10-12 years ago while visiting a friend so we attended the festivities. We had fun, but I wouldn't characterize it as child friendly in any way.

Exactly, ptown is either lying about attending or has some freaking weird stances on what is appropriate for children.
My sister, who is a lesbian, is 41 years old, came out right after HS and has been to numerous pride events. She hasn’t gone in at least 5 years because in her words “they went off the deep end”
I asked her this morning if any pride parade she ever went to would be appropriate for children and she laughed and said “not a chance”.

Ptown knows all of this. He's just wanting any excuse to be pissy with me, it doesn't matter what.
I welcome it.

A drag queen digital recruiter, or whatever the position is, shouldn't be surprising to anyone.
Since part of Biden's promises during his campaign was the promise that he was going to check off the boxes of the Progressive Stack to fill parts of his administration, this should come as a surprise to nobody, Admiral Rachel Levine being one of those checkmarks on display.
The salient portion of the story is that this will help to recruit maybe five more people into the Navy.
Everybody knows that even a B class Queen can make more money and be safer than they would by joining any branch of the military.

By my memory, the first exposure to the Armageddon Cult was way back to the Different Strokes show, when the girl there got green hair from acid rain. I know that the cult trend went further back than that, but I'm not THAT old lol

WHY... are Dems still acting out this practice of infantilizing college students?
Temporary tattoos, coloring and cotton candy because differing ideas exist in a college atmosphere.
Also, it's interesting to see AOC (labels herself a progressive one day, exposes herself to be dem establishment the next) and Matt Gaetz (one of the leaders of the republican version of Force the Vote) - working together to introduce a bill that would ban Congressional stock trading.
There is good reason why parents/taxpayers are rapidly moving their children out of the indoctrination camps.

Every time someone says how hard teaching is and how important their jobs are, I'm reminded that homeschooled kids perform better.
So, to your point, obviously the solution is to make homeschooling illegal.

You are right, homeschool kids fair better on SAT/ACT scores. The "public education" reason/answer for that is "well, ALL public school kids take those tests, only the homeschoolers that plan on going to college take them. The dumb ones don't take it."
They are obviously full of logical failures in their belief, just saying that's their argument.

LOL taught by people that mostly have never been teachers or studied to be teachers. This actually isn't surprising as the ability to present and explain things truly well is pretty uncommon - aside from managing & developing people, that's probably the #1 trait of successful executives.
And that Freakanomics study found that, once you control for all factors (such as education and wealth of the parents), there is no observable impact from teachers.
It's a profession absolutely ripe to be replaced with AI that produces better results at a fraction of the cost.

Out of 36 and over millions of kids that’s statistically significant and not just in the “noise” of the data, aka it’s outside of the error.

Also, the lower of the two is taught by trained professionals with 4+ year degrees (some with MS and PhDs), they should be SIGNIFICANTLY higher than a stay at home mom checking on them once every couple hours.

Also factors in the dog eating the homework a lot more often.
