Continuing our ongoing thread. Also moving Kavanaugh chatter to it's own thread.

I was going to say, maybe people hide it but I've NEVER encountered anyone like these radical activitists (on either side).

Granted, these people probably represent .001% of the country, but I doubt you'll find many in traditional professions (especially management).  Guessing not many "left brain" thinkers among them, though.

Come gather round people wherever you roam & shun any republican family member you have. Until this president is gone. You don’t need to tell that family member that you are shunning them. Just stand up for your country very close to home. Make it hurt for both of you. Rise. Rise

 Good strategy.

And people are amazed at the idea that men are worried, even if they'd never so much as touch a woman without her explicit consent.

Apparently, to these women, consent is more a woo-woo state of mind than the act of giving permission.

What does Antifa actually stand for?  I see them mainly trolling Trump supporters and white supremacist groups, but they otherwise don't seem to have an agenda or goals.

I think this is maybe more a result of social media than anything.  It gives disgruntled people and natural assholes an excuse to harass people, with the safety of numbers on their side.  I'm guessing most of these people are losers, and getting out to bully people makes them feel better about themselves.

On a related note, WTF would you roll your window down and engage these people?  And mouth off to them?  Sure, that temptation would be hard to resist but eventually one of them is going to sucker punch someone.  The guy that punched the car - you better hope that's not George Zimmerman's truck you just dented.  We all know it's coming, maybe already has.  Some Antifa tough guy is going to mouth off to the wrong guy with a gun having a bad day.

Why were the two motorcycle cops just standing there?

The new woke thing to complain about is how States with no people like ND have the same amount of Senators as California. LOL

But look at the leadership in that party - she'll do really well as a radical leftist who makes absolutely no sense.

Socialists take the long way around, talking in circles, just to avoid saying "there's no science or logic to it, we just believe giving people more free stuff is a nice thing to do".

Word for word from Kamala Harris/Bill Maher.

It's mainly just ignorance of how the system actually works - House is proportional representation, Senate is equal (wrt states), and the POTUS is a combination of the two.

People keep ignoring a fundamental principle of our founding was state rights, and that's the reason for the electoral system.  Is "state rights" outdated?  I hope not.  Like 1/3 of the country lives in large cities, so I don't think the people of 100 or so cities should tell the other 2/3 of the country how to live.

Worse than that.  Over half the country's population lives in about 5% of the actual area of the country.

Business Insider put this out in 2016 (PRIOR to the election, so it wasn't driven by that):

That other 50% of the population would basically get no consideration in elections.  No stumping in those places.  No formulating platforms based on their needs.  They'd be "feral" voters, more or less.

Maybe.  I was thinking more along the lines of people's views and outlook tends to be shaped by their social circles.  That's what tips the popular vote to Dems, and they know it which is why they pretend like the electoral college is some inherently unfair and poorly conceived notion.
