If I post about how the Christian right assuages Trump's character issues, I think people will automatically assume I believe Trump's sexual history should be a factor in considering him.  That's not the case, so the "what about Bill Clinton" or other counterarguments are not valid.

You could also apply that logic to the other side as well.

Regardless, that wasn't even close to the point of my post.  I am not defending these people.  I was commenting on how you said you don't care, yet you have posted at least 5-6 times the same exact thing.

Seeing on Twitter that NK is releasing US detainees. I've googled it but only see articles from NY Post and Newsweek. Nothing from CNN, FOX, NBC or anything.

Just like there was nothing from CNN, NBC et.al. covering the visit of the Alabama football team to the Whitehouse - the ENTIRE team, and then huddling with the prez for a prayer, blacks, whites etc..etc....

P.S. God, if you can arrange it, I'd like to see them just one more time.

Quaker Oats logic: If you make a joke about our president paying off porn stars who he allegedly banged, you hate prayer and are a comrade who doesn't believe in God.

Makes sense.

Now, now, if you put him in a world where he couldn't hide behind walls and scream about how people with different beliefs are THE ENEMY, he'd have no purpose in life. Let him have this; it's all he has.

Sure they do.  I am not a Tide fan, but I have a lot of respect for the way they handled themselves.

Positive WH stories remain a giant 'no no' in the media.

Pointing at that as "proof" that religion is stupid would be like pointing at Napoleon as proof that atheism is untenable or pointing to Kim Jong Il as proof that it is immoral.

Looks like Judge Ellis laid a pretty good beatdown on the Mueller team today over the Manafort case.

Federal judge accuses Mueller's team of 'lying,' trying to target Trump

A federal judge on Friday harshly rebuked Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team during a hearing for ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort – suggesting they lied about the scope of the investigation, are seeking “unfettered power” and are more interested in bringing down the president.

Is there anybody, at this point, surprised by this?

I think the 30% on the Left are so invested in the narrative they would think the judge to be out of touch.

The shutdown of the investigation, followed by indictments of Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Lynch, Rosenstien, et.al. would go a long way toward restoring some confidence in these agencies.  There are several who were at the IRS that need to be served as well.

If there's no collusion or obstruction (and it doesn't appear to be any, in either case), then Mueller should be shutdown.  This is why no one like a special prosecutor.  Look at the Clinton deal - that went on for like 3 years and they ended up impeaching him over lying over a BJ.

And Dems are hoping to use this to take back the House.  That's certainly not right.  If there's no collusion or obstruction, this investigation needs to end so as not to influence the 2018 elections.  So I'd be like "wrap this up in 3-4 months".

Nor cripple the executive.  The founders figured a POTUS (given the balance of power) could not significantly damage the republic without the peoples correction within four years.  Impeachment and subsequent removal from office is reserved for some sort of egregious event.  Any abuse of this process for political purposes (especially if the crime is perceived to be manufactured by a significant number of the population) would cause irreparable damage to the republic.  Given the perception that many government officials have "gotten away" with things even more so.

You and I know that is not going to happen.  When Sessions recused himself Rosenstein made himself the Attorney General by giving the special counsel broad brush investigative authority under the "Russian" umbrella.  Any attempt by Sessions to intervene would be humped as obstruction of justice.  Go crack down on the opioid epidemic.

If you want to bring down a president do it at the ballot box.

The only people who care about Mueller are already firmly checking "D" [or "R"] on the ballot box.  Your swing voter may or may not be influenced by their opinion of Trump, but likely doesn't give a shit about the Mueller investigation.

Trump Pulls US Out of Iran Deal

Head of Mossad says Iran is completely complying.  So do a lot of other Israeli military and intelligence leaders.  But Netanyahu doesn't like it and Trump loves him and is surrounded by his big fans.  So off we go.

Hey Israel, whatever else we can do for you, you just let us know. Nothing is too much.

That was theirs to begin with? Probably not...

As the U.S. is only one party to this deal, us not being a party should not totally screw it, if the deal has any merit whatsoever. Also, Iran is still held by the IAEA safeguards standards. Most of what Trump said about the technical details of the deal were straight false. Every single intel agency has said, and so has the IAEA, that Iran is in compliance of the deal and cheating is harder than hell to do. Isotopes do not go away, so the IAEA will catch any cheating. Trump just didn't like the deal to begin with.

Iran is a bad actor in the region, sure, and yes this deal did not address. It was not supposed it. That was beyond the scope of the agreement. It was just a narrow deal on the nuclear program.

Now, if Trump wants to tackle Iran as a bad actor, great...but he failed to address how he would  do that. There is no other option. He just said we are leaving the deal and we will figure out the solution later. That seems kid of dumb. But, whatever, this is all Trump's mess now.
