Bernie throws his hat in. He would be 79 on election day

I am old enough to remember when people said McCain was too old to be president.  He died at 81.

So, will there be any democrats running in the democrat primary?

This actually made me laugh.

Given the current Democrat field, I might actually end up voting for Trump.

You're not the first person I have seen/heard say this.  I know a decent amount of people who voted for gary johnson or left the ballot blank last election  saying they will vote for trump if certain dem candidates win the primary.

It will be interesting how the "moderate" (I use that term loosely) dems do once they announce they are running. If it is biden by himself, I see him winning since the socialists will cannibalize the vote.  If there are several "moderate" dems, then the race will get very interesting.

There is a reason why his assassin has not been charged.

Of all elections the dems should be able to shine in, it seems like it would be this one.  Instead, they're putting out candidate - so far at least - that appear to have no shot.

Shouldn't you solve the Pizzagate case first?

I felt like the last election should have been a slam dunk...

Lets see where the money goes.  The DNC is only going to fund one of these guys.  It will be Biden if jumps in.  As for the rest, they wont see a dime or any support from the DNC.

Not yet.

I think the better question would be to ask : will there be any liberals running in the democrat party? I'd much rather have the choice to vote for a liberal rather than what the democrat party has been spewing out under the D umbrella.

Klobuchar is in and she is an otherwise normal Dem Senator from the Midwest who might have a shot at winning Iowa giving her a path to the nod. Plus she's mean to snowflakes so perfect choice.

I think Kamala Harris is sadly the favorite at this point - our party is more obsessed with getting a woman + person of color than somone who can win and I fear Trump will absolutely crush her for fucking a married man twice her age to get her start in politics.

Trump won 53% of White Women over Hillary - someone who many a lot of women felt sorry for due to Hill's shitty treatment of her. A recipe for Dems to be crying on the day after election day wondering what happened

I don't think Trump can say anything about this, really. He's not exactly a model of marital fidelity!

I would agree but Trump has proven the normal rules of politics don't apply to him and seemingly him only. Listening to women who would call in to radio shows that supported trump - it's like they expect bad behavior from Trump and he is forgiven. For these same women who've experienced boorish men their whole life, the Kamala Harris' of the world that tempt older men are the homewreckers.

I actually hope Kamala or Spartacus wins just for the comedy gold during debates with Trump.

The polls (yes I know, polls) I saw have Biden in the lead, then Bernie, then Kamala. She is horrible, and I agree with your assessment that Trump would for sure use it. I think Biden has the best chance. I just can't see that Bernie would hold up to scrutiny. A video resurfaced yesterday where he claimed that standing in a bread line was a GOOD thing.

Winning

I don't think Gary is running, and if he was I highly doubt his chances of winning have increased.  Even though I would have easily taken him over Hillary and Donald, I don't believe he was close to being the best candidate for that party.

It's very weird and sad how obsessed people are with public servants (on both sides).

If people like gblock are saying they would vote for Trump over Kamala, then would predict that she is going to have a very difficult time defeating him.

Yeah, I think Gary's ship sailed with the last election. When it's looking like you're actually gaining momentum due to how shitty the other candidates were and then you completely blow it with interviews where you come off as clueless and the L movement winds up losing its momentum and getting their usual pittance of the vote (ie: completely insignificant unless the R guy loses and the diehard R politards start crying because their guy "only" lost due to the L siphoning votes away), you probably should step aside and let someone capable of carrying your party forward take the lead.

The far left socialist agenda will look and sound bad in a debate.

The only reasonable sounding people that won't dog whistle to the AOC crowd will be Shultz and that chick from winter land
