I'll let you print up the shirts....
On another note..it was encouraging to see playmakers last night (Zook, Inmann & Short) on offense all being underclassmen. It will be about using that talent correct but we've got some kids coming back.
Wooster game will be a tossup, their 0 against West Holmes matched ours.
So lets say we win...for an 8th straight time & 7 straight under Davault?? Will that change anything among the detractors?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Most if not all those years Wooster had a losing record so no credit from me for that one! -
RedRider1So a win over Wooster must be qualified now? LOL.
How many of Norwayne's wins this year don't count since they were against bad teams? -

Norwayne played those same bad teams last year and still kicked our ass. I suppose we were not outcoached in that game either though.RedRider1;1299467 wrote:So a win over Wooster must be qualified now? LOL.

Troll KingI'm just amazed at how much love this coach continues to get. He has not accomplished anything with the great talent that he has been blessed with over the years. Yet Orrville run off a man who got us a state runner-up trophy as well as a state championship. So he's beaten Wooster so what Woosters been horrible the last few years. I'm just dumbfounded by the way you people on here continue to wear blinders where he's concerned. You all obviously see things differently on Friday nights , I must be watching a game in another dimension. Nothing I repeat absolutely nothing changes under this coach. My opinion of him by the way hasn't just sprung up all of a sudden I have felt this way since he got the job. There were FAR better coaches out there that wanted this job but were passed over because they were not Orrville guys. Like I said 2 -3 more years of 0 to 1 win seasons we'll see how you feel then. I know you'll still be blaming it on no talent.

Coach_08Talking about the personnel fouls, I was at the game last night right down on the field. The one that Orrville got (I know there was a lot) that lead to Clear Forks 2nd touchdown was interesting. After Clear Fork scored to tie it, my buddy and I ask the ref what was the personnel foul for? He said "that the defender lead with the crown of his helmet and hit the ball carrier in the chin area, you can not do that." My buddy and me did not get that call, I thought as a defensive player you are coached to hit the ball carrier in that area, maybe we are wrong? I am not saying that changes the outcome but still was a big call at the time and I am not defending any of the other personnel foul calls but that one had me scratching my head.

not allowed to lead with crown of helmet if head was up no foul.Coach_08;1299592 wrote:Talking about the personnel fouls, I was at the game last night right down on the field. Agreed wcalfan seems everyone thinks these coaches can change kids attitude with just a few hours a day. Some of these kids are told all day how great they are and how bad coaches are from home they have no respect for authority anymore. Respect starts at home.wcalfan;1299413 wrote:its parenting,,,ask ummm..
You are darn right beast...ask ME and I will tell you EVERY time...it starts in the HOME...coaches can't babysit these kids 24 hours a day. Where in the world are the parents?!?!?!? -
Go Falcons
You were outplayed in the second round of the post season by the future State Champions that also out played teams with a heck of a lot more talent than what Riders had last year.Troll King;1299486 wrote:Norwayne played those same bad teams last year and still kicked our ass. Yea but then little johnny runs home to mommy and cries because coach was mean to me. The parent then undermines the coach and goes over his head, therfore it does start and finish at home. You guys who think coaches can coach kids like they used to are nuts. Agree coaches need to instill discipline to an extent but if parents dont show respect to coaches discipline then what good does it do. So it absolutely starts at home weather you believe it or not.Troll King;1299414 wrote:Parenting my ass, once they put that uniform on and step on the field it's the coaches job to instill discipline . They represent the school as well as the community on that field. These type of penalties have been a problem since Devault took over. -

I do not agree Orrville had just as much talent as any those teams that Norwayne played. if Norwayne didn't beat us I think we could have made it to the title game.Go Falcons;1299633 wrote:You were outplayed in the second round of the post season by the future State Champions that also out played teams with a heck of a lot more talent than what Riders had last year. -

You may have been able to play with J-M but not Kenton or even Hartley.Troll King;1299672 wrote:I do not agree Orrville had just as much talent as any those teams that Norwayne played. if Norwayne didn't beat us I think we could have made it to the title game. -
scarface1Does everyone forget that orrville had injuries to almost all key players during last season. I know they were in the game but Monhiem, Turner,Brenner were all playing hurt. That doesnt take anything away from what Norwayne did because they were very talented and when you have a special talent like Wallace you never know what might happen.

Save it brother...these are a bunch of ticked off parents whose kid isn't playing the spot they think he should play. They are just posing as concerned fans. LOL. -

The 3 haters...pardon me..detractors..are not parents of current players. That much I know. I doubt any of the 3 even have kids in the system...in fact I'm almost certain of it.
Guys living vicariously through 17 year olds probably. Sorry that these kids let you down this season. -

There you go again calling us names simply because our opinions don't go with yours. It's funny how we see things differently or should I say we see things correctly and yet we are idiots or haters or bashers. I suppose if we all agreed and we were just like you it would be a perfect world . As long as our opinions were the same as yours. Have I resorted to calling you names simply because our opinions differ ?RedRider1;1300018 wrote:The 3 haters...pardon me..detractors..are not parents of current players. That much I know. If anyone's living through high school athletics that IS most certainly yourself, hence all the effort of your one-sided blog. If you read back some pages, you'll find that you're the one teaching their son/s to look up to the football players. These are simply young men, some play well, some don't, some have good character, some don't!RedRider1;1300018 wrote:The 3 haters...pardon me..detractors..are not parents of current players. The players on the team did not let me down, if anything they let you down! And even more than that, the coach/coaches let you down as they obviously can't seem to coach and discipline to the level that you've been boasting of. -

We could've beat Smithville though!!! Norwayne is lucky that they did not have to play Hartley. They were a better all-around team than Kenton. I believe if healthy Orrville had the defense to hold Kenton down Since they were so one dimensional.Go Falcons;1299677 wrote:You may have been able to play with J-M but not Kenton or even Hartley. -

We are living through 17 year olds? Okay let me go write something on my Red Rider sports blog , then go put a video together Of the team to show On the scoreboard at the game, give updates on all the injuries, oh wait I can't do this stuff because you already do all that. Besides my life revolves around more than just sitting around on the computer researching stats and writing about17-year-olds. Now I ask you who's living vicariously through who ?RedRider1;1300018 wrote:The 3 haters...pardon me..detractors..are not parents of current players. That much I know. LOL! Now you are comparing us to Norwayne??? Good one! -

Kenton was not one dimensional, yes they threw first, and second, but third Mauk ran and ran effectively. Kenton stopped Hartley by putting ten men in the box, because all Hartley did was run. Beating Smithville, well nine times out of ten Norwayne would have beat them, the Bobcats stacked the deck against themselves that game.Troll King;1300116 wrote:We could've beat Smithville though!!! I still argue that if healthy Orrvilles defense was every bit as good as Norwaynes.Go Falcons;1300146 wrote:Kenton was not one dimensional, yes they threw first, and second, but third Mauk ran and ran effectively. Dont agree with much you say troll but i do think you are right about this. The injuries hurt Orrville more than anyone new and i give them credit for not using this as an excuse for losing in the playoffs.Troll King;1300156 wrote:I still argue that if healthy Orrvilles defense was every bit as good as Norwaynes.
