I agree we need to try and get these kids the ball more...but to go back on the point that we are so predictable and easy to gameplan against, if all we did was run the play that #24 and #21 got 3-5 yards on the other team would do what Triway did and stack the box and force us to pass....Series62;1277144 wrote:Run whichever formation and play where #24 and #21 gained an averaged 3-5 yards per rush per the NW, (didn't see Copley), Triway, Lexington and MS games, whenever they were utilized.
If #1 isn't a spread QB, perhaps he needs some gametime snaps and teaching during practice. After all, he seems to be the next qb and he can't do much worse than the #10.
The fact that you are trying to relate this to the Wooster situation is pretty funny, for the fact that Coach Davault's teams have had more success (playoff appearances, playoff wins, and more players go Div. I) than the entire career of the Wooster coach. What did he do in Wooster minus the back to back years they won the league.....absolutely nothing. The fact that you guys are calling out a coach after starting a season 1-4......is a joke. This is the first time in his tenure he has started 1-4 which could turn into his FIRST losing season, but of course that has nothing to do with the amount of players he has on the team or the talent level of those kids...it's all his fault.Red Rider Nation;1277145 wrote:Exactly! Most of these posters on here were on that thread last year bashing Wooster's coaches but Coach Davault is in a protected class here. I agree with you too and I have talked with many of the past players that have played this game who read my posts but dont comment and they agree. I could care less who is friends with who I will also continue to voice my opinion on what I see Friday night. If they dont like it DONT read it!
I rest my case, carry on.

This halftime regiment is spot on. The only thing I would say you are wrong on is the tucking in of the jersey. I see a lot of jerseys not tucked in. Other then that this is your best post ever! You of all people would know!OQB;1277135 wrote:Red Rider Nation,
Do you think the team just goes in at halftime to go to the bathroom, touch up the eye black or ankle tape, tuck the jersey back in, maybe get a drink of water, text their girlfriend to see what the plans are after the game, and head back out to start the 3rd quarter? These coaches are making adjustments....it all comes down to the players executing. -

What case did you just rest? 1-4 on his way to 1-9 for 3 or 4 straight years I will rest my case in a couple of years when you look at yourself and realized you are wrong! -
RedRider1Is the consensus from troll, series & RRN that we need a change in coach? After 7 seasons, 4 playoff appearances, 8 playoff wins and a regional title.....you're ready to make a change after 1 losing season? That's absurd....can't call it anything else.
At least in 1 case, It's rooted in a deep agenda against this coach as an individual and is sad. You don't want change for the good of Orrville, you want it to negatively impact someone you don't like personally. How sad to wish ill on someone who is just like all of us...just trying to support his family...and doing it by dedicating tons of hours helping develop the next generation of men & continue a great legacy of football.
And before we call #21 an option at RB, he has to suit up first. Wasn't going to help us last night in sweats. Not sure if it's injury or something else, but can only go to battle with the kids you have.
Enjoy your Christmas....some of you have been waiting for this regime to struggle since 2006 & now it's easy to make your case....anonymously of course. At least RRN has put himself out there. I'll give him credit for that even if we disagree on things. -
Troll KingI know I'm trapped in bizarro world. In the real world the kids know how to tackle , the offensive line knows how to block, the left tackle knows how to pick up the rush from the outside. Coaches don't clap for your mistakes, they actually get your face and tell you what the hell you doing wrong. The quarterback is not running for his life the very second he touches the football. I'm glad I figured out what's been wrong.
-
Troll King
you just said it, if kids don't block and tackle. Don't you think that's a coaching thing to teach them how to block and tackle. Yell at them when they don't, instead of clapping there hands and slapping them on the butt.scarface1;1277141 wrote:Maybe the talent out there isnt as good as the BLEACHER coaches think it is. If kids dont block tackle and turn ball over doesnt matter how many adjustments are made you wont win. -
BRFI'm not going to sit by and let this brow beating that's going on silence me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course. What is that saying?.....opinions are like a certain hole.......everyone has one. And before anyone flips out over me saying that, I include myself in it.
I will continue to support the team to the end. Now, more than ever, is the time to show that support. Never give up (that's a life lesson..........life lessons are taught everywhere........yes, even on the football team).
I think it's sad that some fans go to watch games with the sole purpose of looking for negatives. -

In what post did I wish ill against him? (You like research, find it)
The coach's primary occupation is a teacher and I believe Dean of Students, I didn't call for his replacement at either position. (You like research, find it)
Hence, there is no "agenda" against him.
However, YOU did do all those things to the previous basketball coach!
I did say that his coaching can be improved upon, i.e. play selection, player utilization. After all, this is a blog, can't we speak our opinion.
When I call for use of No. 21, it is when he is suited and the play-calling would not have been much if any different.
Yes, I know your name because of your blog, what you look like, I don't know nor do I care.
You know who I am and what I look like, as does most of the other posters here.
You are posting out of hate and disdain for me (that's fine), which is resulting in lies and false accusations, (that isn't).
That type of writing makes for biased and poor journalism!
You do need to pull up fella! -

Triway did not force Orrville to pass by stacking the box!OQB;1277151 wrote:...but to go back on the point that we are so predictable and easy to gameplan against, if all we did was run the play that #24 and #21 got 3-5 yards on the other team would do what Triway did and stack the box and force us to pass....
Triway couldn't stop Orrville's rushing attack!
Orrville decided to pass and was not very successful, they just insisted on passing! And was not very successful!
Much like the 2nd and 1, and 3rd and 1 pass incompletion plays for +/-40 yards.
No. 24 did very well when he was given an opportunity.
I've heard it said before, if they can't stop it, keep running it until they can. Maybe you should give that to No. 10 so he can run it in to the coach! -

Not a journalist...never claimed to be. Wrong again guy.
I will however sign my name to my opinions. Feel free to disagree as you do 100% of the time, but I'm not afraid to step out from anonymity to make my opinions known.
BRF,
Well said. All we can do is support the kids. I'll let the coaches coach. Not happy with a 1-4 start but I'm not going to pretend I know the solution that will magically turn this team into a playoff contender. -
zeez sportA fan is defined as an enthusiastic devotee, an ardent admirer that is usually a spectator. With the exception of a few posters, I am seeing quite the opposite, an antonym...belittler, critic, detractor. Shame on you! I see adults that obviously did not have any kind of character education (missed the half time show last night, did you?) These kids you claim to support on Friday night, yet rip apart every Saturday have more character than you have in your little finger. While you have been ripping them apart they have been watching film, lifting and coaching youth football. They left gave their all last night and are giving once again today. Blow all the hot air you want. I am now and have been a Red Rider fan for almost 30 years and am proud of our kids, coaches and our schools.

RIDER DADI did not sign up for this, RedRider 1 have Zook (he won’t get on either because of the tone) text me when things calm down, for now I will not get on Ohio chatter, this is horrible, you three should reconsider your approach to this site.
Good luck team
Thank you coaches for your hard work

Boo Whoo . Take your ball and go home. It's a shame because three people on here's opinions don't match the rest of the people you others just bash us. If we don't fall in line with the rest of you that automatically makes us morons or idiots. Your opinions are obviously the only ones that you think matter. As I said earlier I speak on what I see without fear of hurting a friends feelings. Obviously all you other people on here belong to the same club, because you all say the exact same things. If someone from outside of your little club speaks their opinion than they're automatically wrong.RIDER DAD;1277432 wrote:I did not sign up for this, RedRider 1 have Zook (he won’t get on either because of the tone) text me when things calm down, for now I will not get on Ohio chatter, this is horrible, you three should reconsider your approach to this site.

Troll KingSince the coaches will not tell players this I will, take out the legs and the runner will go down. Hit the legs and wrap up, stop trying to tackle football and worry about their legs. There is a reason why the running back runs right through the middle of the line has seven defenders on him and still gains 15 yards. Because there are pulling at the football instead of wrapping up the legs. I even heard a coach yelling tackle the ball. It's no wonder the team gets 200 yards rushing on us with logic like that.
-
Troll KingYou people on here want to keep talking about the lack of talent we have ,if the coach doesn't have the talent to run the spread offense why keep forcing it on them. Switch to another offense that may work with the talent we have like the Wing T or the option. That is what makes me angry his inability to change things or should I say unwillingness to change things.
-
Troll KingOne final note for all you people on here who accused us three of bashing, when you say the team has little or no talent is that not bashing also. You say the kids get on here and read this stuff. Nothing like reading that you have no talent. I know that's okay though because you people said it.
-
Troll KingOh and also by you saying there's no football IQ on the team are saying there not as smart as other kids ? Again I know it's okay to say that because it's coming from your mouths. If one of us three said it however you'd be forming a Lynch mob. Seriously is that not being a little bit hypocritical.

Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing. I really think the tone on the last 3 pages other then us talking about the coach is them talking of lack of talent and we should be in the WCAL! There's a real morale booster! You are right troll if the kids get on here I think the main message they are receiving from the so called supporters is they are not talented! -

you're right Red Rider Nation, but because it was them saying those things and not the dirty three it was okay.Red Rider Nation;1277514 wrote:Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing.
