Orrville Red Rider Football 2012

    I am not from orrville but your dirty three said coaching is responsible for teaching kids how to tackle and block. Well that being said he must be doing one heck of a job seeing how every week in the paper another orrville player he has coached is playing in a D-1 game. Maybe these guys learned this after they signed thier scholarships not before. I believe Devaults record speaks for itself and maybe give him a year to get these kids straightend out, they are young. Like i have said before this is about the kids. I believe, from the outside looking in, you guys have a very passionate and good coach there and it is a shame he is getting bashed for one year with a young team who may still be learning. Good luck the rest of the way Orrville, and i for one admire the program built by you guys over the years.

    Lets get one thing straight scarface: There have been a lot of inconsistent posters on here through the years. Dont talk bad about the coach because he is human then go over to the Wooster coach thread and bash him. The ones that say the kids read this so keep that in mind when posting but then post our issue is a lack of talent and we should be in the WCAL. I however have had the same consistent message since I have been on here. Coach Davault will NEVER lead this team to the promiseland. You dont see our games so I understand what you think you see from a distance but let me tell you how wrong you are: The best record this guy has ever posted is 7-3. The discipline is a far cry from what it once was, the lack of putting together a solid gameplan each week. Losing to WCAL teams then to Triway on our only night of playing on our turf for the first time. Young or not we are regressing every week. I said before its not the fact that we are 1-4 as I could care less how many we win or lose it is rather the fact that every Friday night for a long long time this program leaves the field with more questions then answers. Dont go giving him all the credit for the D-1 talent we have had that is some boys that stayed focused and worked their tail off to make the best out of the situation. I am certainly not asking you or anyone else on here to agree with me but calling me the dirty 3 or whatever you wish just fuels my fire to keep posting. Also some want to talk about the enrollment being down and less players and all that nonsense. Why is there less players I would ask? If all that is true explain to me why Triway is 4-1? Let me help with that: You have a coaching staff there that has learned from the mistakes their team has made in the past and made position changes and adjustments. Here in Orrville its just the same old routine!

    Hey Red Rider Nation I think he misunderstood the term dirty 3. I called myself ,you, and series 62 that because it seems everyone on here thinks that way of us.

    might want to read what i wrote on wooster post did not bash Haas think he is doing good job with kids they are playing harder than last, simply stated not always coaches fault like you guys think. Remember devault has been playing against some good competion over the years he has been in the head job. I never said you guys should be in wcal got me confussed with someone else in my opinion you guys are usually to good for that league but obviously i hit a nerve with you. And now the coach has nothing to due with the D-1 talent yet you want him to coach up the kids he has i dont get your thinking either.

    I wasnt referring to you on the Wooster coach thing or the WCAL thing. That was meant for the Orrville posters that contradict themselves on a regular basis.

    Sorry troll I must have missed that. You would have to understand though I was outside during the lightning storm with my big metal pole trying not to get struck by lightning. I like the sounds of the Dirty 3! Maybe we can pick up a 4th and be called the 4 horsemen? Hey either way I am good with it.

    Amazing that Griggs' scoring record still stands 35 years later. He had 3 productive years at tail back & his 5 TD performance against Wooster probably ranks as the all-time greatest single game effort in the 101 game series.

    Was it a case of someone being injured and Griggs stepping in & seizing the opportunity?
