RedRider1Have a good feeling about tomorrow. I guess that balances out those who think we'll finish 1-9.

No the reason I think the offense stinks is because EVERYONE we play knows what we are going to do.OQB;1276110 wrote:This same coaching staff used signals and wristbands before...do you honestly think that is the reason our offense isn't producing? -
Red Rider NationTroll King;1276102 wrote:So are you saying our kids are not as smart as kids from every other team we play. I say it is a coaching thing, the coach could teach signals . I do not think this staff is smart enough to install such a system. Great coach for life lessons, horrible for x's and o's. Every team we play knows exactly what we are going to do on offense. In the past we had superior athletes thats how we won, this year we do not . It is up to the coach to make changes and we all know he won`t do that.
Good point. Its hard to believe with the talent this program has had the last 4 years the best we could do was 7-3. x's and o's is definitely not his forte. As the season wore on even last year everyone in the world knew what plays we were gonna run. We became far less effective on offense at the end of the season because by then EVERYONE figured out our 5 plays! -

Why do you say there was nothing football related to talk about after 4 weeks of football?rrfan;1276031 wrote:It sucks that we have nothing football realated to talk about and we are only in week 5. -

Do you really think or believe that appreciation of any questions and/or feedback are going to make a difference in his coaching or game plan?RedRider1;1273508 wrote:Yep. This is the down side of a tradition rich program. You want to achieve as much as every team before you...and sometimes its just not in the cards....but that doesn't point to a lack of effort.
I dont like losing anymore than the next fan, but keep it in perspective. There's nothing that any of us can yell from the cheap seats on Friday nights that will change anything.
Next Booster club meeting is October 1st (Monday) at the high school. Coach Davault attends every one of those and I'm sure would appreciate questions and feedback...positive or negative. -

Agreed ! I have a relative playing for West Holmes, he said orrville is easy to prepare for because they know all our tendencies. They know what we are going to run in every situation. He said the problem before was they couldn't match our athletes and speed . The offense is very predictable in his words. Sad, very sad.Red Rider Nation;1276283 wrote:Good point. TK, RRN, you know, if you guys would have said that about the players and/or QB, you would have been accused of "bashing".Troll King;1276278 wrote:No the reason I think the offense stinks is because EVERYONE we play knows what we are going to do.
Perhaps the coach didn't know or remember the plays and the QB is running over to tell the coach what he is going to run. LOL!!! -

If by chance that feeling turns bad, are you going to scrap the crystal ball?RedRider1;1276261 wrote:Have a good feeling about tomorrow. I guess that balances out those who think we'll finish 1-9.

Nah...I'll continue to support the kids who are putting their all into the season & let the coaches do what they feel is best. And I know you'll continue to position yourself opposite of those of us who support the team...and life will go on for both of us.
No reason to discuss it any further. You do your thing & I'll do mine. -

Any coach that changes his approach based on 1 fan's opinion won't be a coach for long. It may allow a coach to expound on a philosophy.
These meetings are the proper forum to ask questions....I remember when our former basketball coach was being questioned as to his approach, we were told that if we didn't schedule a meeting with the coach face to face that we had no business questioning his tactics on an Internet forum.
So someone tell me...what is different this time around?

Full steam ahead tonight Riders...Let's get this season back on track one win at a time!!! -
RedRider19-0 in favor of Senior in the DR...when's the last time that not a single picker chose us? I thought Kevin Lynch liked the underdog? LOL.
Prove 'em wrong Riders. Let's see some energy & emotion....and for goodness sake...stop giving up TD's right before half. It's been 5 straight games dating back to the Norwayne game that we've given up a TD right before half. -
zeez sportRedRider1 and OQB, I am on board with you. I BELIEVE! GO RIDERS!
