Browns BS Drama

SportsAndLadyI don’t think his receivers are that great, obviously outside of Hopkins. Will Fuller only looked like a decent WR when Watson was his QB. To me, that’s a better indication of a good QB then a good WR.
I was NOT on the Watson bandwagon, as I thought his accuracy would hurt him and I didn’t think he could use his legs in the NFL like he could at Clemson. But I was dead wrong. He’s not a perfect QB by any stretch of my imagination but he’s another QB that we will regret not drafting. He was literally breaking NFL records before he got hurt. Sure he’d throw a few picks but you’ll live with that if he’s dropping 3-5 TDs a game.
I feel like browns fans have this way of trying to defend our organization when it comes to QBs. It’s like we’re in QB denial when it comes to QBs we passed on. Trying to bring up random metrics and advanced stats that shit on Watson and “predict” his future decline sounds incredibly similar to talking shit about your ex gf after she breaks up with you. -

Uh oh, here comes vball’s passive aggressive attempts at calling you an idiot! Watch for it!kizer permanente;1884050 wrote:Just spent some time looking at everyone's highlights this year (which aren't a good indicator) and Rosen seems far and away the best of the group. I've only seen him live once this year against USC and he outperformed Darnold even though they lost. He still looked good though. -

Believe me, I know. If the Browns brass had actually taken a look at Kenny Britt and realized he was a self centered turd, instead of looking at his size, speed, etc. he wouldn't be on this squad.thavoice;1884051 wrote:And you may be correct. Too bad he got injured to see how his season goes. My main point was you can look at analytics, in many of sports, and pick apart many great llayers. One cannot take away his multiple 5td games and to say they weren't impressive is just being obtuse -

That's a fair assessment. This fan base is starved for a QB so badly I could see that train of thought. I'm of the belief that this organization has had rosters that could've made it to the playoffs, on a few occasions (not many) since 1999 but lacked the QB to take them there. It's frustrating as Hell seeing a defense shut down an opponent only for your team to lose because the offense can only muster up FG's.SportsAndLady;1884053 wrote: I feel like browns fans have this way of trying to defend our organization when it comes to QBs. Well here's my thing... I like Kizer, obviously. I think he's going to improve (is improving) and I think he can be a starter in the NFL b/c he's better than some starters already. But there's a reason he went 2nd round. He's got his knocks (not saying he cant overcome) and he's not an elite QB as is. So if you're in a position to get an elite QB, you get an elite QB. Is Rosen elite? I don't know. I leave that to people who are paid to decide that.SportsAndLady;1884055 wrote:Uh oh, here comes vball’s passive aggressive attempts at calling you an idiot! I agree with this on Kizer. I think we are going to see improvement over the next 5 weeks. Will it be enough to hold them back from drafting a QB at 1? No clue.kizer permanente;1884059 wrote:Well here's my thing... I like Kizer, obviously. Well you also have to look who's available to draft and if the guy you can draft is better than the guy you have, even though hes improved and he could be your starter, you still take him. Kizer is tricky b/c he shows you flashes that say man i don't think anyone in this class is legit better than him.. then he throws it 20 yards over your receivers head. So you have do your homework and analyze your guy and your target guy in the draft and decide if you think this is the one, or do we draft best available til we come across the one.BR1986FB;1884061 wrote:I agree with this on Kizer. He isn’t going to sustain a 5 TD a game performance, especially coming off a torn ACL without contact. His year reminded me very much of RG3. Defenses will adjust.SportsAndLady;1884053 wrote:I don’t think his receivers are that great, obviously outside of Hopkins. Will Fuller only looked like a decent WR when Watson was his QB. It’s not a denial, all you have to do is watch him. His style doesn’t typically succeed in the NFL. -
SportsAndLady
I’ve watched probably all of his games lol I’m at a bar every Sunday with every game on. I watch because I have a lot of Houston players in fantasy. You can compare him to RG3 but to me that’s just a lazy argument to make when you’re trying to defend why he isn’t going to be good.like_that;1884070 wrote:He isn’t going to sustain a 5 TD a game performance, especially coming off a torn ACL without contact. Other than being a fast, athletic black QB, he doesn’t have too many similar qualities to rg3.
And rg3 was ruined by injuries. I don’t think Watson will have the injuries that rg3 had. -
like_thatI’d take that trade 10/10 times with the Texans , especially since it means we can add our choice of Rosen/Darnold/etc plus another potential top 10 pick that can make plays. The QB class this year have much better prospects than watson imo and much better potential to sustain a career.

You’d rather have more draft picks for our brilliant front office to fuck up, over a QB that was the entire talk of the league and breaking NFL records left and right? Come on! -

The hope is that there will be someone in there competent enough to make these picks.SportsAndLady;1884074 wrote: You’d rather have more draft picks for our brilliant front office to fuck up, over a QB that was the entire talk of the league and breaking NFL records left and right? Come on! -

I’m betting on Watson not sustaining his performances. I’ve seen too many QBs come in with a flash and then fizzle out. Most of them are pretty predictable just by watching them.
Thus, I will take my chances with Rosen or Darnold. -

lol...what?!? I never said Rosen wasn't the best QB available in the draft, I just like making fun of your constant insistence that he is. So, was that passive/aggressive enough for you?SportsAndLady;1884055 wrote:Uh oh, here comes vball’s passive aggressive attempts at calling you an idiot! Watch for it! -

Ummm...I have no fucking clue what you’re saying. When it comes to browns, you are fucking clueless. You like kizer because he’s from Toledo lolol.vball10set;1884079 wrote:lol...what?!? AutomatikWatson is a better decision maker than RG3, stronger mentally, and probably doesn't have a head coach that will rush him to play after injury. Even if he didn't get injured he wasn't keeping up that level of play, but I still think he'll be solid.

People want that one shiny win. As if that will mean anything long term. Hell, did the Browns winning 4 straight with Mangini mean anything? People have no memories here
I agree with this. Luck and Joe Thomas would have been nice. -

I am not too sure how you can make a judgment on Watson mental strength when he only started 6 games. It's easy to look mentally strong when things are going well.Automatik;1884085 wrote:Watson is a better decision maker than RG3, stronger mentally, and probably doesn't have a head coach that will rush him to play after injury. AutomatikI'm basing this on the talk of his preparation, what I've seen during interviews, and the high praise from Dabo.
You could tell from day 1 that RG3 was a prima donna. -

This. A lot of NFL people praise Watson for how he handles himself. That’s a strong indicator of mental toughness. They also talk about his work ethic. I don’t recall anyone saying these things about rg3.Automatik;1884092 wrote:I'm basing this on the talk of his preparation, what I've seen during interviews, and the high praise from Dabo.
