Browns BS Drama

Hits like that being called penalties are killing the NFL more than anything. Just impossible to watch a game when you expect a flag every 3 plays.

The only thing he did was hit him really hard. That’s it. Everything legal.
  • mhs95_06
Everything was legal, except the other defender holding his arm from way before the ball came down and keeping it from getting two hands secured on the ball thus allowing the ball to be knocked loose. The call should have been PI.

Fucking terrible call. Game over now
i guess he was supposed to be allowed to just waltz into the end zone untouched. atrocious call

Cleveburgh Clowns - worse POS franchise in pro sports. Quickly followed by those two great choke artists the Wahoos and Chandaliers. And King Jagoff is the biggest fraud in all of sports. Enjoy your miserable lives Losers.

This game was a kick in the dick:
Coleman drops a perfect TD pass
Refs totally fuck us here: https://streamable.com/cdhas
    We miss an easy FG.

That's a 17 point swing right there. Unbefuckinglievable.

Kizer starting to make a case for moving forward with him. That's two very solid starts in a row. Still not sold on him being the guy but he's making positive strides. Will be nice to see what he will do with Gordon (assuming he stays clean) over the next 5 weeks. Should also open some looks for Coleman, assuming he CATCHES the damn ball. Still frustrated with Kizer taking crappy sacks though. You know that Kessler is bad when I'm hoping Kizer gets back in the game ASAP.

Heard Hue late last week talking about Gordon and he sounded like a kid in a candy store. First practice and you could tell that Gordon was lights years better than anything else on the roster.

As far as yesterday (besides the Kizer comments), the run defense is starting to slip, having given up back to back 100+ yard rushing performances. Especially to a team (Bengals) that doesn't run the ball well. Also sucks that they didn't get one last shot to score after that BS 'defenseless receiver" call. I guess all you have to do is catch the ball and get hit for it to be a 15 yard penalty now? Either way, they still likely would've "Browns'd" it up and had a strip sack or a pick 6 but I would've at least like to have seen them have the opportunity to do so.

On a side note, just by dumb luck, why can't the Browns fall into some good fortune and land a HC like Sean McVay? 31 year old HC takes a QB who many were thinking "bust" about and turns him into a dark horse MVP candidate in one year's time.

I think you're forgetting his awful performance last week against the Jags.

Good point about the run defense, I guess Ogbah was our entire run defense?

My bad on Kizer. Thought it was two in a row.

Kizer is getting better from atrocious start. But he’s still struggling really bad. I’d be fine with keeping him on another year but only if we take a QB at #1 and have him sit behind kizer for X amount of games.

As this college season continues to play out, I'm really becoming less & less impressed with this QB crop. I know the Browns need a QB in the worst way but there's not one that I can clearly say "he's the guy...turn in the card at #1."

    1) that’s said every year. And every year at least one stud QB comes out of the draft.
    2) It’s November. In March-April there will be a clear favorite.
    3) I think Rosen is a guy that I can say right now I’d be okay with him at 1. A lot can change but I can definitely get behind Rosen based off what I’ve seen from him and what I’m reading about him.

I actually feel the opposite. We have a crop of some solid QBs:

    Mayfield
    Jackson
    Rosen
    Darnold
    Allen

I'd be estatic with Mayfield or Rosen at this point, and wouldn't QQ about the Jackson or Darnold. I think Allen is too much of a project.

Rosen is looking legit and I like his "fuck you" attitude.

Hate to tell you this, but your dream of "winning now," by signing a FA QB (Cousins for example) is not going to happen. Even if we did sign Cousins, the Browns would be in limbo at best and never progress beyond fringe playoff team or potential wild card round win. It sucks since we have seen a pile of shit for nearly every season since 1999, but we are going to need to be patient. There are no short cuts with this franchise.

I think this QB draft class is better than last years. I would be happy with a few of the QBs and the Browns will have their choice.

Edit: Rosen would be my top choice at this point. He has all the physical tools. IDGAF whether he is liked or not. I think those stories are overblown. This isn't Kevin Costner evaluating him. He seems to handle himself very well in interviews.

Also, I know all of us would take a fringe playoff team right now, but if we are going to hit rock bottom I much rather turn this team into a legit contender and not a "let's be happy because we made the playoffs!" type of team.

    PLAYOFFS? You kidding me?

I agree with your take. We need as many stud "playmakers" on this team. I'm tired of players like Shelton who look solid on one play, then get pushed off the line 3 yds on to their ass the next. Without a stud QB you're just "pissing into the wind".

Agreed. There are a lot of QBs to choose from. We just need to, gulp, scout them to see who’s best.

Won't have to worry about me getting too excited about him because, although I know he's super talented, I also know that he's Fool's Gold. Just a matter of time before he screws up again. That's why I was a bit surprised at how excited Hue was in his presser talking about him last week. Yes, he's lethal weapon for you arsenal but you have no clue how long you'll have him for.

    Pretty interesting article: https://predictivefootball.com/late-and-trailing-by-14-points-always-go-for-2-after-a-touchdown/

I'd agree with their take on winning in OT. Nothing to lose, Hue continues to shoot himself in the foot.
  • Ironman92
I’ll go Gordon 5 catches for 91 yards with a TD
