For percentage, how many quality QBs we using? 15? 20?
If the Browns draft him and he overcomes the size difference, great.
He does appear to have a nice high arm angle with his release. Hopefully that helps him adapt.
I am not against, I am just cautious.
Right now, 15 might be an over-estimation just because of how many of those guys who've been considered good are nearing the ends of their careers and are suffering through declines. Roethlisberger is having probably his worst year ever statistically, while ones like Rivers, Manning and Palmer all are pretty mediocre this year. Add in the inconsistent performances by younger guys like Newton, Mariota and Winston; Flacco reverting to pure trash, Dalton never turning the corner to becoming good and depending on your definition of "quality" as it pertains to QBs, it might be hard to get much above double digits. And that's with giving Watson and Goff the benefit of the doubt despite only having about half a year of starting for both of them.

This literally blows my mind.

Also the only team in the NFL to not win a game.

Wouldn't like taking a RB at 8, not one bit.
Not that I’m big on RBs that early in the draft, but I think RBs are making a comeback in the NFL. Especially if you don’t have an elite QB.

Duke and Crow are a fine tandem. We don't need a rb that early.

They aren't going to pony up for Crowell in FA when they can get a younger guy in the draft. If he's Tomlinson or Peterson, in their primes, you might pay, but not for an average RB like Crow.

crow can test the waters, but I think he'll be disappointed.

No doubt. I wouldn't necessarily use a high(er) pick on a RB, unless it was someone like Zeke (minus the baggage). It's been proven time & time again that if you have a solid O-Line/blocking scheme, you can do pretty well with later round backs.

Mayfield looks like a huge douchebag lol

He really is the biggest fucking dickbag in the world.

That being said if (big if) he’s a franchise QB, cool with me.

I thought the Mayfield stuff was funny. Saw a few scouts saying at this point they like Rosen and Darnold (probably not coming out) over Mayfield, but that was before Rosen last night too. I’ll take either.

New Lacanfora article on Haslam really being serious on getting Peyton in there.

The way UCLA receivers drop passes Rosen would be right at home with the Browns.
• Classyposter58
I'd take Rosen easily because that's one of my QB rules. If some guy tears it up with a non blue blood or on a mediocre team in college he's probably going to be a hell of a player in the NFL. Look at the top QBs, only really Newton, Stafford, Brady, Mariota played for great programs.

Of course Drew Brees became incredible, guy won a Big 10 and Rose Bowl with Purdue. Lol fucking Purdue

I like the idea of Rosen. He definitely has the physical tools, and he is cocky enough to actually believe he would turn around a shitty franchise. I don’t give a shit if people get their feelz hurt, because he is an asshole. There are also a decent amount of Jews in Cleveland, so he will fit right in.

Btw, I know we like to talk about all of the QBs we have missed out on (and all of our fucking picks in general), but we are also terrible at hiring coaches. I remember during the chud/Petrine hiring shit show I suggested we hire Zimmer. Haslam and co were butt hurt, because Zimmer pretty much told them why the Browns have been god awful. Zimmer keeps going thru QBs and he finds a way to be be competitive. Another terrible decision by the Browns, that nobody seems to talk about.

Yep agreed. If I recall correctly you were on the Zimmer TBW pairing that year, would have been nice. Pretty sad when I think 70% of posters on a minor league ohio forum would be 1,000,000X better than anyone we've had.

Bet we would've hit on more draft picks over the last 10 years.

Duke Johnson had 6 touches Sunday. Seems like a good idea to not use your beat play maker on offense. Njoku had 1

It's Grossi, FWIW, but if those are the two free agents QB's they are interested in, I will projectile vomit....

They are going to pick a QB with the first pick, I will take that bet with anyone. I know COA loves himself some Mayfield, but I hope it isn't him. I am not sold on him being a NFL QB. The Manziel comparisons will probably scare the Haslams too.

He sounds angry. Relax, grossi, the browns aren’t trading for tyrod freakin taylor and probably won’t draft Mayfield.

Taylor's projected to be a FA. Bills will likely let him walk. If want no part of this current FO, with their metrics, SPARQ scores, etc having any part of selecting a QB.

Trade, free agent who cares. They’re not going after tyrod taylor. They’ll draft a QB at 1 overall.
