Looks like at the very least we're bringing in a GM football guy type. Wonder if Mike Holmgren is still available... -
like_thatBrowns denied the report FWIW.
Since their is nothing worth talking about with this team, I will add to the gossip and say they reach out to Peyton. -

If you believe that, I have a QB named Brandon Weeden to trade to you. He'll be your franchise savior, bc he's older than Belly he's NFL ready.like_that;1877542 wrote:Browns denied the report FWIW.

That's a given. I actually think Peyton would do a good job too.like_that;1877542 wrote:Browns denied the report FWIW.

iclfan2Guaranteed they reach out to Peyton, but would he want it.
I have more of a problem with gameday than the roster. Although QB and WR are pretty bare. And that said, if Hue asked to get Watson and they passed and are left with what we have now, they can gtfo. -

Is this supposed to be a lob for me to make fun of BR for believing in Weeden lol?Commander of Awesome;1877544 wrote:If you believe that, I have a QB named Brandon Weeden to trade to you. He'll be your franchise savior, bc he's older than Belly he's NFL ready. -
like_thatAlso, unless the Browns go 0-16, I really don't think they should do anything. This two years to produce model hasn't really gotten them anywhere if you have been paying attention since 1999.

No, not a dig at BR. Just a browns related lol to swamp land in Florida or Bridge for sale when discussing gullibility.like_that;1877558 wrote:Is this supposed to be a lob for me to make fun of BR for believing in Weeden lol? -

I agree with one caveat, Hue relinquishes play calling duties.like_that;1877559 wrote:Also, unless the Browns go 0-16, I really don't think they should do anything. This two years to produce model hasn't really gotten them anywhere if you have been paying attention since 1999. -

He's tight with Haslam and it's already been rumored that Cleveland is a city he's targeted.iclfan2;1877550 wrote:Guaranteed they reach out to Peyton, but would he want it.
I will say this, Manning may have little/no GM experience but I bet he'd do a job 1000x's better at evaluating QB's than anything they've brought in since 1999. -

But you are correct I bet he would do a fantastic job. Many times a great player sucks as a coach or front office (jordan) but sometimes they can be great and I bet he would be top notch.
As a Steelers fan, I hope you don't get him -
Commander of AwesomeMyles Garrett now has as many pressures as Carl Nassib (9) this year but has done it on 34 pass rush snaps compared to 128 for Nassib.
Gregg Williams explains why he plays Peppers at free safety - nobody else on the team can do it

WTF front office? Also is he really bragging they only have 4 passes past 20 yds on them?

Commander of AwesomeFWIW, Jim Donovan just said on WKYC that Peyton Manning was in Cleveland last week and he “has an itch” to get back into the NFL.

<WARNING HOT TAKE ALERT> We hire Peyton Manning to be our GM. Next season Eli is either released & Signed, or traded to the Browns. </WARNING HOT TAKE ALERT>Commander of Awesome;1877596 wrote:FWIW, Jim Donovan just said on WKYC that Peyton Manning was in Cleveland last week and he “has an itch” to get back into the NFL.
It's the most Browns thing ever. -

friendfromlowryThe Browns thing would be to pass up on about four QBs in the draft, take one in the third round, and cut Eli during training camp.

Take a RB first round that's 23 yrs old with 900 career college carries, a troubled WR in the 2nd round, a noodle soft tosser in the 3rd, a DE/LBer hybrid in the 4th and trade Joe Thomas for a 5th round and a back up CB starting Rod Fucking Johnson at LT. -

He has a bunch of play breakdowns, would recommend checking them out. WTF Greg Williams? -
Commander of AwesomeAnother great one, fuck you Greg Williams, FUCK YOU.

like_thatWhile we are at it, if Haslam is legitimately considering rebooting the FO/Coaching staff once again he needs to fucking look in the mirror. Hell, he should have been doing that already. He does not get a pass. I liked him initially, because he seemed to really care about winning unlike Lerner's apathetic approach, but I can't think of one good thing Haslam has done for the Browns since buying the team.

Commander of AwesomeNot drama, but a lol
Joe Haden is the 61st best CB with an overall grade of 71.5. -
BR1986FBPick your poison...if they blow this up, who'd you rather keep, the front office or coaching staff? Must pick one of the two.
