This front office has talked about their "process", their "plan" and they stockpile all of these picks, trading down, avoiding pulling the trigger on a legit QB. Some guy from CBSSports.com or some other media outlet was mocking a 'Andy Dalton to the Browns for a 2nd & 5th" and these morons offer a 2nd & 3rd for his BACKUP?
  
  To me this was a "oh shit, we screwed up and left at 5pm on Monday and let SF steal Garoppolo from us so we have to make some effort to satisfy Hue" desperation move.
  
  If I'm the Haslam's I freeze ALL assets and not allow these jokers to make ANY moves. They should've been fired at 4:05pm for even THINKING about this move.
  
  And I'm far from sold on Kizer but what does this do for his confidence, if he even has any?   Yup, I believe you covered all bases regarding McCarron. The bigger story was the fact they actually were going to give up a 2nd and 3rd for a guy who can’t even beat out Dalton. All the other shit whether it was the browns or bengals fault is just noise to pile on and make fun of the browns.

  What makes you believe the Bengals are capable of recognizing that McCarron may actually be better than Dalton and should be starting? They hate change. Otherwise, Pacman/Marvin Lewis would have been gone years ago.

  Not so sure about this. Have heard that the Haslam's are kind of freaking out about the fan perception of this team and feel like they are losing the fan base. Eight more losses and that should seal their (FO/coaches) fate.

  To respond to your last comment, regarding hating change, I've heard that if Hue Jackson is fired, the Bengals will can Lewis and slide Hue right in as the head coach. Almost like an "Eric Mangini/you've only been unemployed 5 minutes and you already have another HC gig" (courtesy of dumbass Jammies Lerner). It would be change but not much of one. Kind of the 'devil you know' type of deal.

  The worst part about this is the personnel fit. They bring in Gregg Williams (who I'd like to see stay to see what he could do with some secondary talent) and they have to find personnel that fit his scheme. They blow it up, bring in a coach that runs a 3-4 and the personnel doesn't fit. They then have to gut the personnel and we're back to square one. This isn't such a big deal on offense but it can be on D.

  Agreed. The other problem with the Browns is Haslam's dumb structure where hue answers to him instead of the FO. Haslam needs to hand the keys of running the team to a proven football guy (as president) and let him hire his own GM, FO, and coach. Quit trying to find new ways to do this and go with the tried and true, and with better people. Unfortunately I don't trust him to do anything smart and the sucktitude will continue.

  The D hasn’t been awful, and that’s with an awful offense. The run D has been one of the top in the league. Gregg Williams can’t make magic happen, he’s been fine this year. Keep him on.

  it's not lack of talent when it's 3rd and 7 and we're dropping safeties 30 yards deep and giving underneath routes. I swear he drops our safeties like hes expecting them to punt on 2nd down. His schemes are miserable. He needs gone.

  This. He has taken a unit (run defense) that has been historically rotten since 1999 and turned it around. I said previously that I think they have one of the top front 7's in football. Their secondary blows. If Garrett can stay healthy, they can add another bookend pass rusher and a few pieces in the secondary, this defense can be really good.
  
  I hate it when Williams aligns his safety out in Lake Erie but I think he's just trying to cover up just how bad that unit is and doesn't want them getting beaten over the top. Better personnel back there and I highly doubt we see the safety playing way out there.

  Greg Williams is the least of our issues. There is no excuse for Jimmy G to not be in Berea today, none. And that is on Sashi. He has to fucking go, total fuckboi.

  The run defense is good because we’ve acquired talent on the line. It has nothing to do with Gregg Williams. I can count several times we’ve had fucking peppers on other teams 1’s. That’s all scheme. That’s all Gregg fucking Williams. You will never convince me he’s not a hack.

  To piggyback on their fucktardery, has anyone else heard anything about them possibly signing Kaepernick? Some word going around that either the Cards, Colts are Browns are supposed to sign him shortly. This would smack of a Sashi desperation move, at this point.
