Wait, so Kurt just does the same thing to Gordon that Gordon did to him, but, since it was Kurt, it was a punk move??? LMAO
  • Speedofsand
"same thing"? LMAO. A little contact is always expected at that track. Gordon barely touched the blue doosh. DJ and Andy even said the punishment didn't fit the crime. The "same thing" would have been Kurt bumping him and passing him back like with JJ at Loudon. Did you hear them laugh at what Kurt said on the radio? 'check my front end damage, I got sucked in there I was trying to let him go.'

    C'mon man

Ahhhh...no no...I guess you perhaps forget Martinsville a couple of years ago when Kurt was in the lead and Gordon dumped him? THAT'S what I'm referring to. It's called retaliation my friend. I'm sure you were up at of your chair cheering when Gordon did that.

All I gotta say Denny Hamlin is 6 points back.

oh a couple years ago. I don't remember. I like Martin and Dale Jr, if somebody drives through them I might remember but all the other races blend together. I might have been at the one you're talking about but I'd have been behind the stands and didn't see it.

Undercover Boss was an ok show. Glen Morris is a great guy, I know him a little. The show was very good to him. Tony Stewart will be here this week to paint the finish line too. I never met Dion Williams, but I know he was a good player at Wake Forest. The show just gave me a feeling of watching propaganda, because they portray the Nascar bosses as caring on tv, as they cut 40 more jobs across the street shutting down Daytona USA.

Watch the live streaming of two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart painting the start/finish line with Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III on Thursday, 3:30 p.m.

Local racer Marvin Panch, 1961 Daytona 500 Champion, toured the track recently. He is a regular visitor to New Smyrna Speedway. His son Richie died in a plane crash returning from the Michigan race.

First time since 1998 that I won't be at Dega for the fall race. My dad had some surgery and my bro and his wife just had kid. Sucks. I love being Dega bound.

Mine were pretty cheap,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, FREE!!!! :D

Went to Downtown Winston-Salem Saturday night. Reminds me alot of Akron. Had a good time. Night life is pretty cool there, plus we felt safe, there were cops on every corner, and walking the streets.

Coming home Monday was a bitch, as it was a downpour coming through the Mnts. Rain held off just in time. Sunday night we stayed in Hillsville, quaint little town. Lots of restaurants to choose from, plus right on 77.
  • Speedofsand
This is Lover's Leap, on 58 near Hillsville. I bet this looks awesome in the fall season.

  • coyotes22
^^^^^^ Yes, but it is scary as hell driving that at night!!!!!!! LOL

Thats the way we go from the track, back to 77.

    R.I.P. Jim Hunter
    http://ap.news-journalonline.com/dynamic/stories/C/CAR_NASCAR_HUNTER_OBIT?SITE=FLDAY&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT
"Jim Hunter will be sorely missed because he knew more about pure media relations and particularly how it relates to the fan than anyone in motor racing," said longtime promoter Humpy Wheeler, who was teammates with Hunter on South Carolina's football team.

"Jim Hunter was one of NASCAR's giants," NASCAR chairman and CEO Brian France said in a statement. "For more than 40 years, Jim was part of NASCAR and its history."
"When it comes to my NASCAR career, one of my biggest influences was Jim Hunter," Stewart said of his poker buddy. "There's no playbook or manual when you eventually reach this level, and understanding all the things that come along with being a driver in the Cup series can be overwhelming."

The press box at Talladega was renamed for Jim before Sunday's race. His first Nascar job was PR there in 1975. He was diagnosed while there at this race last year.

Super G Robby Gordon fighting for the top 35 after a solid 18 at Dega.

speaking of Talladega, how did Harvick race out front with a torn up front end where aero is supposed to be crucial?

3 races 3 drivers separated by 38 points or less.

Texas- Denny won the race in April while Jimmy Johnson finished 2nd and Harvick finished 7th.
Phoenix- In the April race Jimmy Johnson finished 3rd while Harvick finished 13th. Denny Hamlin finished 30th, 2 laps down.
Homestead Miami- In last years race all 3 of these drives had top 5 finishes. Hamlin 1st, Harvick 3rd, Hamlin 5th.

I think this is going to be come down to all 3 at Miami. Would not be surprised that all 3 are separated by 25 points come season end.

DAMN!!!! He drove two cars at once and had two top 5 finishes?!?!?!?!?! Thats AWESOME!!!!! :D :p

    DAMN Hamlin!!!

Harvick needs to step it up the next two weeks!!!!
  • GoChiefs
Harvick just doesn't look like he has what it takes. It looks like it's coming down to Hamlin and Johnson. If Hamlin can get through Phoenix ahead of Johnson, I think he will have a VERY good chance at winning this. But, beating Johnson at Phoenix will be no easy task.
  • BigYtownRed
Good that Harvick has two wins @ Phoenix which should help him. Harvick is on the outside looking in & hopefully he can find a way to make up @ least 30 points this week.

As Hamlin continues to put the pressure on desperation continues for the 48 crew. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon has switched pit crews for the remaining 2 races.

Two fans were injured at Texas Motor Speedway when a brake pad from one of the cars broke through the glass on the eighth floor of the Speedway Club above the track's first turn. Speedway spokesman Mike Zizzo says the injuries weren't life threatening. The accident happened Sunday during the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the 1½-mile, high-banked track. It was unclear from which car the brake pad came and what caused it to become a projectile that went through the tempered glass.

    :woah:

in other news, R.I.P. Mr. Goodwrench. GM is killing the brand in the USA.
  • GoChiefs
Yeah, I seen that. The report I read said some glass stabbed one of the fans in the throat, but it wasn't serious. Also it was determined that it came Sam Hornish Jr's car.

I would love to see Hamlin have Issues early Sunday, and make the battle for the championship come down to Harvick and Jimmie. WIN-WIN for me!!!!!! :D
