After watching NASCAR Now, they were talking to some voters. They said when they were in the room to vote, they first discussed criteria. Part of it was not just numbers, but who did more to help put NASCAR on the map and who did more for NASCAR. I don't think anyone has done more for NASCAR than Cale and the Allisons. If it wasn't for that fight at the end of the 79 Daytona 500, who knows where NASCAR would be today. That's when everyone outside of just the South started taking notice of NASCAR.

His illness sure didn't take long to kill him. He was a good soul, just liked to have fun. Living on that boat in Ft. Lauderdale with the whores down there is where I think he got it. It came from Haiti / Miami. Good show on now, DW said if Tim had been around he would have definitely won a championship.

Tim would have been one of the greats.

Kahne released by RPM effective immediately

    http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/C/CAR_NASCAR_KAHNE_RPM?SITE=GENERIC&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2010-10-20-22-26-03

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Kasey Kahne was released from Richard Petty Motorsports on Wednesday night, clearing the way for him to join Red Bull Racing for the final five races of the season.
RPM announced Kahne was out of the No. 9 Ford effective immediately, and Aric Almirola would drive the car this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Almirola had been on NASCAR's entry list to drive the No. 83 Toyota for Red Bull.
But the plans apparently were scrapped after Kahne's blowup Saturday night when his brakes failed at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kahne exploded in anger on the radio when his brakes failed for the third time this season, second time in two races.

B.J. McLeod is a local New Smyrna/Orlando kid, hopefully making his truck series debut at Martinsville in the #9 Boggy Creek Airboat Rides Chevy for Germain Racing.

    Leaving in one hour!!!!!!

my girlfriend is running 4 souvenir stands, one by the security office top of the hill, 2 in the main drivers trailer area, and one under the stands. I wish I could have gone but I have a test Monday morning. Saw lots of Ohio signs on trackside last night.

Pretty Jealous. Tickets are cheap and I live only an hour away, and was literally driving past it for work for 2 weeks. Unfortunately I couldn't get anyone to go, and went to the Charlotte race last weekend. Really wanna see a short track race in person though.

4 women drivers in the truck race.
    and a bitch in #18

and the crowd goes wild ! 88 in the lead, only 200 laps to go

B.J. finished 17th on the lead lap yesterday, very impressive debut.

    Hamlinville Va.
Denny kicking ass ! Dale Jr fades to 7th. Mark Martin was 2 laps down and rallied to 2nd. Kurt Busch wrecked Jeff Gordon in a punk move like his baby brother makes. Denny just said its one of his most gratifying wins because of how he fought back after the early tire problem.
After Denny won his first race there a few years ago, he spotted a fan decked out in FedEx colors by the flagstand when the hat dance was over. He got the guy and his wife down on the track for pictures. That was cool and shows how much he appreciates the fans, which he didn't have so many of yet then.
The pre race tv spots to 'Stop Jimmie' were hilarious. Also Zippy 'God blessed me with Tony Stewart, which prepared me for having 3 children.'
Looks like a 3 horse race, JJ, Denn knee, and Harvick. Anything can happen next week at Talladega.
I want to go to Charlotte for the World of Outlaws finals and maybe Homestead.
