GoChiefsKevin Harvick has resigned with RCR. Looks like he or Bowyer could be driving the Budweiser car next year.
"#29-Kevin Harvick will continue his partnership with Richard Childress Racing. Harvick signed a multi-year contract but sponsorship has yet to be finalized. RCR is talking to several potential sponsors but Budweiser appears to be the leading candidate. Another scenario presented for Harvick is the possibility of moving Budweiser to the #33 Chevy with Clint Bowyer and bringing General Mills to the #29." -

GoChiefsSprint Showdown was pretty exciting...let's hope the actual All Star race is the same! Martin Truex Jr. & Greg Biffle advance into the race.
-
Gardens35Should've had the kid sing the National ANthem too.
-
GoChiefsCarl Edwards gets the fan vote....and yeah Garden...agreed completely...that was a shit job for the anthem! That invocation was too cute though! Lol
-
Gardens35Invert the field. Go Bobby!
-
GoChiefsThis race has sucked! That's sad when the Showdown is more exciting than the actual race!
-
Gardens35Sprint Cup had sucked for several years now. Most of the drivers can wheel a perfect car, but there's only a hand full that can keep a bad one in contention for however long it takes to get the car right. That's only one reason why the racing is so bad..........there are a lot more.
I took to the Truck Series a while back and really enjoy it. Equates to minor league baseball.........(other than the few who have ran in the other series and have settled into the trucks) the guys are "playing" their hearts out for a shot at the big time. They RACE the whole race. -
GoChiefsKurt wins the million dollars! WOOHOO!

j_crazyeven though my boy won the million, i'm still not a fan of this race.
i'm certain that he'll now go out and finish 38th in the 600 for having won the pointless (literally) exhibition race. -
GoChiefs
I'm normally not a fan of this race either..specifically b/c they change the format of it every damn year!j_crazy wrote: even though my boy won the million, i'm still not a fan of this race.
I was bored..so..I went back and looked back to 2004j_crazy wrote: i'm certain that he'll now go out and finish 38th in the 600 for having won the pointless (literally) exhibition race.
2004's ALL STAR winner was Kenseth..he went on to finish 3rd in the 600.
2005's ALL STAR winner was Martin..he went on to finish 28th in the 600.
2006's ALL STAR winner was Johson..he finished 2nd in the 600.
2007's ALL STAR winner was Harvick, who went on to finish 21st in the 600.
2008's ALL STAR winner was Kahne, who went on to WIN the 600 also.
2009's ALL STAR winner was Stewart, who finished 19th in the 600.
So..if you notice..every other year..the driver that wins the All Star race...has a good finish in the 600! And last year..the All Star race winner did shitty in the 600..so that means..this years All Star race winner is guaranteed to do well in the 600! Yeah, just trying to find a way to be optimistic since Kurt is average at best at this track. LOL -
SpeedofsandAmazing how he won after slamming the wall 3 times in the previous segment. I only saw the last 2 segments.
Kindergarten Kyle needs to get punched in the nose like Jimmy Spencer did Kurt, it helped Kurt mature a lot.
World of Outlaws sprints are at the dirt track Friday night, live on Speed tv.

GoChiefs
Eh, I'll disagree with that too. I think 'settling down' and 'Captain' Roger had to do with Kurt maturing. The Jimmy Spencer incident where he cheap shotted a guy that was still strapped in to his car was way back in 2003. Kurt was still up to his antics up until 2005 when he quit Roush Racing.Speedofsand wrote: it helped Kurt mature a lot.
People can hate on Kyle all they want...but it's good for NASCAR. So, NASCAR loves it. And NASCAR won't do anything about it. The guy has calmed down a LOT. Sure he still gets pissed. Who wouldn't get pissed when you were in contention for a million bucks and got taken out? I think I'd have been a little hot too! But overall, he's changed significantly from last year to this year alone. -
GoChiefs
I don't know..I think even that's a tossup!2quik4u wrote: jr>>>>>>>>>>>>> Norm Benning -
SpeedofsandKyle took himself out. His in car camera showed Hamlin never touched him.
Montoya thinks Regan Smith took him out too, said it again today. He is as bad as Kyle. If Kyle and Pablow had a 2 car match race, they would finish 4th & 5th behind the pace car and tow trucks.
I remember Kurt crying on the radio when Biffle passed him in the first ever truck race. 'He's not supposed to pass me! Waaah! He's supposed to be the teammate!' I told the guys with me he was a wreck waiting to happen, and not 5 laps later he smashed the tri oval wall. Kurt used to be a real ass, but was never as bad as Kyle. Kurt's really been a good guy since Roush canned him.
They got it honestly, from their dad who I could tell you an asshole story about. -
GoChiefs
Kurt didn't get canned..he signed with Penske midway through the 2005 season to take over Rusty's spot..that pissed Roush off..so he suspended him the last 2 races of the season after Kurt was falsely issued a DUI..just sayin'.Speedofsand wrote: Kurt's really been a good guy since Roush canned him. -
SpeedofsandI was already in Homestead/ the Keys when he met Sheriff Arpaio. Easy call for a DUI and mouthy attitude to make Roush cut ties and try some things with the 97 car. Homestead has a huge bar behind the main grandstands and a jumbo tv screen hanging on the back from the metal beams. We made a missing person sign and hung his picture at the bar.
another joke I wrote was ' I just flew from Phoenix to Homestead and boy are my ears tired.' - Kurt Busch
