That was you who called into 92.3 this morning trying to argue the case for Johnny citing Joe Namath as an example, wasn't it?Footwedge;1768697 wrote:Dustin Fox and Adam the Bull are absolutely pathetic in their daily bashing of Manziel. Yesterday they even bashed what he said at the presser. Fox kept repeating over and over and over again how behavior off the field matters. Um...no it doesn't.
Signed.
Max McGee, Brett Favre, Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Billy Martin, Ken Stabler, Joe Namath.....ad infinitum. -

Exactly how I feel.Al Bundy;1768696 wrote:I hope Johnny becomes a great qb and takes them to the promised land. I just don't see it ever happening with his limited skill set, his lack of intelligence, his lack of leadership skills, and his inability to put in the needed work away from the practice field.
Nothing Manziel has done up until now shows that he has what it takes to be modern-day NFL QB.
Bolded part to pre-empt Retardwedge invoking players who played 40-50 years ago when being an NFL QB was completely different than today. -

Yeah..Brett Favre didn't play in modern day football. Good point Shemp.lhslep134;1768714 wrote:Exactly how I feel.

No wasn't me but I will be calling in to these ass hats soon. Stay tuned. Whether you think so or not there is a broad base contingency in this city that thinks the same way as I do regarding Manziel. You know...people that actually want to win football games...and leave the sermons on Sunday to the men of the cloth. The stadium will NOT be half empty this week. Gee, I wonder why? No thanks to the collective Cleveland media that's hell bent on chasing Johnny out of town.BR1986FB;1768712 wrote:That was you who called into 92.3 this morning trying to argue the case for Johnny citing Joe Namath as an example, wasn't it? -

Time will tell. I know Johnny was better than Brett in comparing college numbers.Al Bundy;1768721 wrote:Not even close in skill sets -

I'd love it if they didn't have to burn another 1st rounder on a QB but he's shown no signs of being the long term answer.
Can't be trusted and isn't willing to put in the work. -

This fucking shit again?Footwedge;1768725 wrote:Time will tell. I know Johnny was better than Brett in comparing college numbers. -

No there isn't. There's probably less than 20% of the fan base and 7% of them have either lost their eyes due to industrial accidents or gouged their eyes out with forks after watching the Browns play.Footwedge;1768722 wrote: Whether you think so or not there is a broad base contingency in this city that thinks the same way as I do regarding Manziel. -

Don't you know it ALL goes back to the college numbers because that's all he's got?SportsAndLady;1768733 wrote:This fucking shit again? -

I know this question may confuse you, but I am going to ask you anyway. Is the stadium half full if Johnny is the qb and half empty if Davis is the qb?Footwedge;1768722 wrote:No wasn't me but I will be calling in to these ass hats soon. Stay tuned. LOLOL. And Johnny won the Heisman award as a teenager,,,,every game he played that year he was 19 years old. How many Heismans did Favre win as a 19 year old? But...but....but....Al Bundy;1768700 wrote:Why would I root for a Browns player to not do well? That doesn't even make sense. Out of the 5 things that you mentioned, scrambling is the only one that he can do, and you don't win in the NFL with a scrambling qb. Johnny was 20 when he won the Heisman. I think you may be getting him mixed up Winston, who is the only teenager to win the Heisman.
Now tell me again why it was OK for Favre to drink.
At season's end, if I were Johnny I'd go down to the flats and make my rounds to the Punch Bowl, The Beer Head and then to the Big Bang and while on camera, let the recently fired head coach that he's "number 1 in my book" with his middle finger. That POS cost Manziel a full year in his development. -

Depends on who had the better numbers in college.Al Bundy;1768737 wrote:I know this question may confuse you, but I am going to ask you anyway. Is the stadium half full if Johnny is the qb and half empty if Davis is the qb? -

Yeah...Johnny Manziel has shown what Brett Favre did off the field in terms of being a professional quarterback and putting in the work to prove it. Good point Retardwedge.Footwedge;1768718 wrote:Yeah..Brett Favre didn't play in modern day football. Good point Shemp. -

Like I said, time will tell. For now...yup..all I've got are college numbers to compare. You can thank Cueball for that.SportsAndLady;1768733 wrote:This fucking shit again? -

And that "POS" Johnny has turned this organization into a bigger circus/fiasco than it's every been with his antics. Not worth the distraction. Keep him until the end of the year and see if a team in Siberia will offer a 6th rounder for him. Send his drama causing ass to the WORST team possible.Footwedge;1768738 wrote:LOLOL. Yeah, Brett texting a picture of his junk to teenage girls showed a shit load of professionalism didn't it Shemp. Yup...Brett Favre...exemplary model of what a quarterback needs to be. LMAO Shemp.lhslep134;1768740 wrote:Yeah...Johnny Manziel has shown what Brett Favre did off the field in terms of being a professional quarterback and putting in the work to prove it. Personally, I wouldn't give a shit if Manziel partied every night IF he performed, lights out, on the field but he DOESN'T. Thinks he can fly by the seat of his pants, without putting in the work, and just show up. He's not THAT good.lhslep134;1768740 wrote:Yeah...Johnny Manziel has shown what Brett Favre did off the field in terms of being a professional quarterback and putting in the work to prove it. FW keeps bringing up Joe Namath, Mantle, etc. The difference between them and JFF is that they were impact players who performed. Namath helped change the game and was a star right out of the gate. His numbers pail by today's comparisons but he was pretty damn solid for a rookie in 1965. -

Brett Favre had already proven he had what it takes to be a professional quarterback in GB, entitling him to act like a jackass after he had proven himself.
Johnny has been acting like a jackass for 2 years before he has proven himself.
Last I checked, before proving something and after proving something are two distinct scenarios.
Do you understand the distinction between the two? I bolded "before" and "after" to help your lackluster reading comprehension skills. -

LOLOL. Yeah..Johnny is responsible to the drafting of Irving, Gilbert, Mingo, Sheldo et smell. I already told you that the Cowboys have offered a number 2 for Manziel...and my fear is that Jimmy will settle for their number 1 and number 4. Jimmy is too thin skinned when it comes to the Cleveland media that want to run JJF out of town. and very well placate the masses.BR1986FB;1768742 wrote:And that "POS" Johnny has turned this organization into a bigger circus/fiasco than it's every been with his antics. Link or it didn't happen. And if it didn't happen, and you continue to assert that it did, there will be consequences. I know people. -
Al Bundy
Do you even understand that a number 1 and number 4 is a lot more value than a number 2? I'd trade anyone on our roster, except JT, for the Cowboys' 1 and 4 picks.Footwedge;1768747 wrote:LOLOL. As usual, you misinterpreted it. What you heard was probably that the Cowboys 'referred' to Manziel as a "number 2."Footwedge;1768747 wrote: I already told you that the Cowboys have offered a number 2 for Manziel...
