  The reason that Manziel is playing is his stellar 88.4 rating on a team that has no running game and a barrelful of injured receivers. Also...3 of the 4 games he has played in have been on the road. Johnny will try to remain undefeated at home this Sunday.
  
  Listening to the Bull and the Fox today is simply intolerable. They actually used the "only scored 9 points against Pittsburgh" bullshit today. They rudely cut a caller off because he said Manziel has played well this year and that what he does off the field is nobody's business. Then they said the Johnny backers were delusional and that they only number 15% to 20% of the fan base. LO effin L. The stadium will be 25% fuller this weekend for a reason.
  
  But the real killer was the crap that that "have to draft a quarterback this year". Good luck with Christian Hackenburg, Connor Cook, or the clown from Cal, while Manziel takes the Cowboys to the playoffs for the next 10 years. The Browns are embarrassing indeed...but the media is even worse.

  You realize that you're in the extreme minority here, right? Regardless of your "the fan base is behind Johnny" bullshit, there's probably only a delusional 10-15% (sorry, wasn't intentionally trying to confuse you with percentages) who think Manziel is going to amount to anything.
  
  The best part about today was the dude from, I believe, NFL.com calling Manziel "Eddie Haskell" which has been what I've been calling him for awhile....a sneaky little liar who will tell the coaches & fans what they WANT to hear while he's snickering and doing the exact opposite when he walks away. Dude can't be trusted to lead a franchise.

  Points allowed is one part. Then you get points for INTs, fumbles, defensive tds, etc.

  On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was recommending to someone that they grab Shaun Draughn off the waiver wire (if he was still available) because he'll probably go off for 100+ and a TD against the Browns swiss cheese run D.

  88.4 is stellar? Looking at the NFL stats, a total of 32 QBs in the league have enough pass attempts to qualify for leaderboards and 20 of those are better than 88.4. That's like saying a college kid with a 2.2 GPA is dean's list material.
  
  Bonus points for one of those superior guys being Josh McCown, who's dealt with the same injured receivers and lack of running game.

  88.4 is not "stellar" so I misspoke about it being "stellar". But if one actually watched the games without your Johnny hating shades on, then you would understand how many touchdown passes have been dropped (3 against your putrid Steelers). Secondly, passing ratings do NOT include quarterback running/scrambling. Whereby you and the Johnny haters have been proven wrong about scrambling against NFL competition, Manziel s ability to move chains with his feet is immeasurable. And finally...apparently it doesn't resonate with you and your fellow JFF bashers that he played 3 of his 4 games on the road against 3 playoff bound teams with a combined record of 24 and 12. What competition has McCown compiled his numbers against? McCown, of 74.3 career quarterback rating.

  A. He should have been starting every week.
  B. He gives the team the best chance to win.

  Can't wait for the game Sunday...will be in the dog pound,,,first row. Looking for JFF to continue his growth and put up good numbers. The team is horrible and it's a shame that he has that kind of shit for supporting cast, but it is what it is. I don't give 2 shits about what he does off the field as long as he wins on the field. Weeb Ewbank didn't put Broadway Joe into time out after he went out partying his ass off before Super Bowl 3. That year, 1968, had the Colts avenge the 1964 championship game loss to the Browns by shellacking the Browns 34-0 in Cleveland 2 weeks before getting dumped by Joe Willie and the 19 point underdog Jets.

  Why would I root for a Browns player to not do well? That doesn't even make sense. Out of the 5 things that you mentioned, scrambling is the only one that he can do, and you don't win in the NFL with a scrambling qb. Johnny was 20 when he won the Heisman. I think you may be getting him mixed up Winston, who is the only teenager to win the Heisman.
