Jimmy should have fired Ray today. Just no excuse for this situation, and sadly that can be said about way too many of his picks.Tom Reed ‏ @ treed1919 30m 30 minutes ago Wow. # Browns switching to Austin Pasztor over No. 19 overall pick Cam Erving at LG.

The reason that Manziel is playing is his stellar 88.4 rating on a team that has no running game and a barrelful of injured receivers. Also...3 of the 4 games he has played in have been on the road. Johnny will try to remain undefeated at home this Sunday.BR1986FB;1768461 wrote:They like putting the elf back on the shelf.
And Manziel hasn't "earned" anything. The only reason Half Pint is starting is because he was a 1st round pick and they at least have to see if he has anything before getting rid of him. If he was a 4th round pick he would've been released weeks ago for his bullshit.
Listening to the Bull and the Fox today is simply intolerable. They actually used the "only scored 9 points against Pittsburgh" bullshit today. They rudely cut a caller off because he said Manziel has played well this year and that what he does off the field is nobody's business. Then they said the Johnny backers were delusional and that they only number 15% to 20% of the fan base. LO effin L. The stadium will be 25% fuller this weekend for a reason.
But the real killer was the crap that that "have to draft a quarterback this year". Good luck with Christian Hackenburg, Connor Cook, or the clown from Cal, while Manziel takes the Cowboys to the playoffs for the next 10 years. The Browns are embarrassing indeed...but the media is even worse. -

You realize that you're in the extreme minority here, right? Regardless of your "the fan base is behind Johnny" bullshit, there's probably only a delusional 10-15% (sorry, wasn't intentionally trying to confuse you with percentages) who think Manziel is going to amount to anything.Footwedge;1768539 wrote:The reason that Manziel is playing is his stellar 88.4 rating on a team that has no running game and a barrelful of injured receivers. The best part about today was the dude from, I believe, NFL.com calling Manziel "Eddie Haskell" which has been what I've been calling him for awhile....a sneaky little liar who will tell the coaches & fans what they WANT to hear while he's snickering and doing the exact opposite when he walks away. Dude can't be trusted to lead a franchise. -
friendfromlowryI'd rather see the 49ers play because they at least only come to Cleveland every few years. The Ravens come every year and they fucking blow right now. But yeah, make it all about one shitty QB being exchanged for another shitty QB.

SportsAndLadyAm I crazy for starting Cleveland D in fantasy?
I'm desperate for a defense. -
Ironman92They don't score much at all. Is your league just based on points allowed?
Doubt their offense scores more than 20 -

Points allowed is one part. Then you get points for INTs, fumbles, defensive tds, etc.Ironman92;1768566 wrote:They don't score much at all. Is your league just based on points allowed?

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was recommending to someone that they grab Shaun Draughn off the waiver wire (if he was still available) because he'll probably go off for 100+ and a TD against the Browns swiss cheese run D.SportsAndLady;1768565 wrote:Am I crazy for starting Cleveland D in fantasy?

Sounds like we may get to see some Terrelle Pryor at WR on Sunday. -

SRSLY???? IN THIS, THE SEASON OF CHRIST, IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT JOHNNY MANZIEL WILL BE STARTING FOR THE BROWNS. HE IS CHRIST RE-INCARNATE!!!!! THE BROWNS WILL SCORE NO LESS THAN 70 POINTS THIS WEEK AND JOHNNY'S TOTAL QBR RATING WILL BE 10,000,000Azubuike24;1768629 wrote:If anything, I'd start SF D...haha.

88.4 is stellar? Looking at the NFL stats, a total of 32 QBs in the league have enough pass attempts to qualify for leaderboards and 20 of those are better than 88.4. That's like saying a college kid with a 2.2 GPA is dean's list material.Footwedge;1768539 wrote:The reason that Manziel is playing is his stellar 88.4 rating on a team that has no running game and a barrelful of injured receivers.
Bonus points for one of those superior guys being Josh McCown, who's dealt with the same injured receivers and lack of running game.
More bonus points for another of those superior guys being Brian Hoyer, since you were all pissed off he was starting over Johnny last year.
Even more bonus points for how, if you include guys like Johnny who don't have enough pass attempts to qualify, Brandon Weeden (who was cut by Dallas) also has a better QBR. Despite having most, if not all, his starts coinciding with Dez being hurt. -

Or like a poster on this site is intelligent yet only scored a 32 on their ACTHeretic;1768646 wrote:88.4 is stellar? 88.4 is not "stellar" so I misspoke about it being "stellar". But if one actually watched the games without your Johnny hating shades on, then you would understand how many touchdown passes have been dropped (3 against your putrid Steelers). Secondly, passing ratings do NOT include quarterback running/scrambling. Whereby you and the Johnny haters have been proven wrong about scrambling against NFL competition, Manziel s ability to move chains with his feet is immeasurable. And finally...apparently it doesn't resonate with you and your fellow JFF bashers that he played 3 of his 4 games on the road against 3 playoff bound teams with a combined record of 24 and 12. What competition has McCown compiled his numbers against? McCown, of 74.3 career quarterback rating.Heretic;1768646 wrote:88.4 is stellar? No...anyone with even the smallest modicumof football intelligence knows, after watching him play in those 4 games, knows that
A. He should have been starting every week.
B. He gives the team the best chance to win.
C. Nobody "handed" Johnny anything. He earned it with his play on the field. -

Are you taking junior to the game with you on Sunday, or will he be on here making up all kinds of excuses about why Johnny's bad play is everyone's fault except Johnny's?Footwedge;1768689 wrote:88.4 is not "stellar" so I misspoke about it being "stellar". FootwedgeCan't wait for the game Sunday...will be in the dog pound,,,first row. Looking for JFF to continue his growth and put up good numbers. The team is horrible and it's a shame that he has that kind of shit for supporting cast, but it is what it is. I don't give 2 shits about what he does off the field as long as he wins on the field. Weeb Ewbank didn't put Broadway Joe into time out after he went out partying his ass off before Super Bowl 3. That year, 1968, had the Colts avenge the 1964 championship game loss to the Browns by shellacking the Browns 34-0 in Cleveland 2 weeks before getting dumped by Joe Willie and the 19 point underdog Jets.

I'll be in the front row with my "Can Cueball" sign. Pay close attention. So which team you gonna start rooting for whenever Manziel quarterbacks the team for the next 10m years? You of "Johnny won't be in the league in 3 years" fame. LMAO.Al Bundy;1768690 wrote:Are you taking junior to the game with you on Sunday, or will he be on here making up all kinds of excuses about why Johnny's bad play is everyone's fault except Johnny's?
It's a rough week for you and the haters. Manziel is finally playing and he will probably ruin the team's chances for the number one pick. -
Al Bundy
So it's now up to 10 million years? wow. I'm sure you are still afraid to make a wager on that. I root for the Browns every week. I hope Johnny becomes a great qb and takes them to the promised land. I just don't see it ever happening with his limited skill set, his lack of intelligence, his lack of leadership skills, and his inability to put in the needed work away from the practice field.Footwedge;1768693 wrote:I'll be in the front row with my "Can Cueball" sign. FootwedgeDustin Fox and Adam the Bull are absolutely pathetic in their daily bashing of Manziel. Yesterday they even bashed what he said at the presser. Fox kept repeating over and over and over again how behavior off the field matters. Um...no it doesn't.
Signed.
Max McGee, Brett Favre, Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Billy Martin, Ken Stabler, Joe Namath.....ad infinitum. -

And you are a liar. You root for him to fail..that's what all of you do. Maniel has already PROVEN you to be wrong on these.Al Bundy;1768696 wrote:So it's now up to 10 million years? wow. 1. Weak arm. Sorry you lose.
2. Can't throw from the pocket. Sorry you lose.
3 Can't throw deep. Sorry you lose.
4. Can't scramble in the NFL. Sorry you lose.
5. Inaccurate arm. Sorry you lose.
The only quarterback to ever win the Heisman as a teenager has all the tools necessary to be all pro in this league. -

Why would I root for a Browns player to not do well? That doesn't even make sense. Out of the 5 things that you mentioned, scrambling is the only one that he can do, and you don't win in the NFL with a scrambling qb. Johnny was 20 when he won the Heisman. I think you may be getting him mixed up Winston, who is the only teenager to win the Heisman.Footwedge;1768699 wrote:And you are a liar. You root for him to fail..that's what all of you do.
