    So...people happy with the hire?

I'm happy with it, and the more I read on Price the more I like the move. He's not going to be the Lou Piniella fiery type that some wanted, but it seems he demands respect and accountability.

As long as we sign the worst hitting center fielder available and he bats him first I love the hire.

Tim Lincecum just got 2yrs/35M from the Giants, Bronson might get 13M a year as a FA.

2nd time this offseason that the giants have completely overpaid to resign a player and drive the market way up on the position. Did it with pence too. How the f does lincecum get 17.5 mil a year????

Some good interviews with Leake and Ludwick and Cozart last night. What you liked to hear was everyone talked about accountability.

SOme comments kinda seemed like they may be were taking digs at VOtto, who declined an interview
  • Rotinaj
Well Ludwick and Cozart blow. I don't give a shit if they talked about accountability. What did they say about Votto?

I agree with Ludwick and that contract sucks.

Cozart is a young player who is getting better, and hit 280+ in the last 50 games of the season and I am not ready to give up on him. Hell, he was within 10 rbi of surpassing votto...

Cannot really say exact things that were said, just some of their answers in the details seemed like they were getting little subtle digs in. Kinda hard to explain if ya didnt hear them.

Walt did an interview on WLW about an hour ago. Lance McAlister posting a lot of interesting things on Twitter about it.

I hate Lance. Please don't make me look at his twitter feed to read them.

Definitely. I also found out today that the Reds game him a front office job. Not sure what it is, exactly, but a pretty cool gesture by the team.

Is it the Fan Accomodations job? Also, I'll post this in case anyone missed it.

I'm guessing it's probably something of that capacity.

That's the job he had, per the video, but didn't know if they moved him somewhere else.

Gotcha. Then I'm sure it's still the same job, I just wasn't aware of it until the news this morning and I was half asleep when I heard it.

Surprised BP won the Gold Glove. I thought he had his worst defensive season as a Red, but the spectacular plays take away some of the bad errors.

Well he probably should have won it last year as well, and this year I dont know of anyone really who should have gotten it over him.

Darwin Barney was simply better in almost every defensive category and only had 1 error on that shitty Cubs infield for the whole season.

Barney wasn't as spectacular this year and even though BP has lost some range.....it was a coin toss this year. It must've landed tails.

Corky Miller and Greg Reynolds were outrighted today. Both have accepted free agency.
