Commander of AwesomeUnless we have plans for the #22 pick, I'd rather get Brooks than the 22nd pick.

I don't want brooks at all. I'd assume it is ammo to move up to possibly top 10 or a trade for a proven player -

I dont want Brooks either, other than he's a nice scorer to have come off the bench and I would think (without diving int the numbers) provide a nice 3 pt shooter to help take some of the pressure off of KI. I don't really want the 22nd player. Not sure we need ~3 rookies on this team with adding the 22nd pick. But I think we would have to be thinking of dealing that pick.Crimson streak;1463318 wrote:I don't want brooks at all. Edit: Just looked, my perception of him is off. He sucks at 3s. Nvrmd oh his 3 pt shot. -

Good read, so many factors that go into scouting, wouldn't want that job lolCommander of Awesome;1463305 wrote:Here's an article that I found informative on the issue.

Crimson streakA lot of sources are saying the Len will be the number 1 pick. If true they must really trust big z on this one. He has pushed hard for Len from the start
-
Commander of AwesomeHmm I'd rather have NN but what do I know? Anytime you can get a kid that isn't 3rd team all ACC you gotta do it.

Days until the Draft.
It's Draft Day!!! Let's Go Cavs! Considering I have zero idea what the Cavs are going to do, I'm very very excited. Couldn't sleep last night. -
wildcats20Amico was on the Fan on Columbus earlier and said he would he very shocked of they took Noel.
Says it's between Len and Mac. -
ohiobucks1Amico literally doesn't know shit

GOONx19I really have no idea how this draft is going to go. As a UK I'd love for them to draft NN and have it work out, but I'm a bigger Cavs fan and I'm scared to death that he'll either get hurt, never get stronger, or never develop offensively. He'd still be a great role player if he doesn't get better, but not worthy of our pick.

mucalum49So much crap is being thrown out there today. Some tweets say the Cavs are wanting to move into the top 10 because the Bucks are posturing to get Karasev. If we move back into the Top 10 I'm holding out hope for an Otto Porter/Steven Adams draft. Adams is a hell of a post defender too. Actually guys shot a worse percentage against him in the post than against Noel (saw it on RCF, wish I knew which thread to repost the table here). He's equally as raw on offense but wowed people at the combine with a decent looking mid-range shot. Plus the guy seems to have a good attitude and pretty funny in all the predraft videos I've seen.

Impressive numbers, but outside of Love, not such an impressive list. Doesn't really guarantee anything. -

Seth Davis was on the NBA TV mock draft saying that Adams made a huge mistake by coming out and he is one who tested well at the combine but the results from actually playing in game show different. He could only get 23 MPG while playing for Jamie Dixon and another stat that was thrown out was that he shot 44% from FT's. That's bad. I would love to see how he stacks up against Withey. -
lhslep134I guess I can feel better knowing anyone we pick will be a better pick than Brandon Weeden was, so I won't have to repeat that miserable feeling again.

Commander of AwesomeAndy Katz ‏@ESPNAndyKatz 29s League sources say Utah has interest in including Kanter if it can move up.
sign me up, I like Kanter better than NN or Len. -

No doubt he has questions. All big men in the draft do. He's not as publicized a defender as Noel but that's his strong suit right now. He does need lots of work on offense but he's got more ideal size and a passable jump shot. Definitely would be a developmental big I don't disagree. My hopes for a Porter/Adams draft were pre-lotto before I knew we had #1 and before Adams was projected higher than #19 where I thought we could get him. I'm hoping for Porter/Adams because I have the same questions about Adams as I do Noel but at least we could add Porter who can start from day 1 while developing our big.sportswizuhrd;1464265 wrote:Seth Davis was on the NBA TV mock draft saying that Adams made a huge mistake by coming out and he is one who tested well at the combine but the results from actually playing in game show different. With that said I've warmed up to Noel so if we do take him I won't be devastated. And taking Noel/Karasev or Bullock is more likely then us trading up to where we'd need to be to have a shot at Adams. I'm pretty much in "In Grant we trust" mode right now because I have no idea who should be our top pick. -

I'd be on board with Kanter and #14 for #1. Karasev could be had right before the Bucks pick...Commander of Awesome;1464285 wrote:Andy Katz ‏@ESPNAndyKatz 29s League sources say Utah has interest in including Kanter if it can move up.

Midstate01Just saw the suns red flagged Noel's knee. Could make him slip.

Commander of AwesomeChad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider 2m Hearing Suns are offering Cavs 5 & 30 for 1. Not yet known how Cavs view the offer. Suns after Noel.

So they red flagged him to scare people?? I'd take that deal though I'd try to get a player out of them too -

lol who knows. It's right before the draft, the amount of misinformation is amazing.Midstate01;1464330 wrote:So they red flagged him to scare people?? I'd take that deal though I'd try to get a player out of them too
If that was the deal I wouldn't do it. Now we do the deal and get a decent player out of it I would. Dragic, Scola, Gortat, are the first names that come to mind. Not sure if they're a basketball fit or not. -
Commander of AwesomeSam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO 1m Timberwolves and Suns in play for Cavs' No. 1 pick, source tells FOX Sports Ohio.
