Cleveland Cavaliers Offseason Thread 2013

Saw a tweet that the Cavs offered #1, Thompson, and Waiters to T-Wolves for Love.
  • Mulva
I saw that they're interested in Love and Cousins. No chance it happens, but it would be awesome.

Dan Gilbert all but squashed those rumors. I've heard it was Flip Saunders trying to drive the price for Love up for next trade deadline

Before or after the wolves shut them down? Because if it was after that's pure damage control.

How can that be considered "true" when its just a websites opinion. They literally gave no real basis for their picks. I mean Porter's ceiling is Batum? Len's FLOOR is Big Z? GFY Draft Insider. Big Z was the man. Len should be happy to have Big Z be his ceiling.

Not sure if you understand "if". Also, the fact that they opine that has basement is Big Z, then that isn't a knock on Big Z, but a compliment to Len.

    1. I understand you said if. I wasn't knocking your opinion at all. You're absolutely right that IF that is true then he should be #1. I'm just saying it's bullshit and shouldn't be even considered as a realistic truth. 2. I realize it's a compliment to Len, but it's ridiculous (IMO) to say a guy who couldn't even average those type of Big Z numbers in college is going to do it as his FLOOR. It's one thing to say he could match Big Z numbers (maybe even a stretch). It's quite another to say that's as bad as he can be. Does that not seem fucked up to you?

I agree and my post was more tongue in cheek than anything...if the majority of people held that opinion of Len, then there is no reason why he wouldn't be the consensus #1 overall pick, in most drafts and especially this one.

I just looked again, and they have Gobert's ceiling as HOFer Robert Parish and Noel's as Tyson Chandler. Lol.

No. I'd take MKG and their pick though ;)... I actually think Noel si going to be dirty. So I overrate him. Hope we take him, though.

Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO 2m Word is, Thomas Robinson was in Cleveland last night for the LL Cool J concert. Sources suspect perhaps for a physical, too.

Kotoch is the only one I have seen say that MKG is available and I have seen 5 or 6 reporters/Bobcat people refute what he is saying.

To answer your question though, I wouldn't make the deal.

Doubt the Bobcats are moving him. They just hired Mark Price to be his personal shooting coach. Kid has tons of potential if he can get rid of that hitch in his shot.

Although next year if the Bobcats win the lottery and Wiggins is in play I think he'll be available then.

If it is unprotected, and you think NO is gonna suck, not a horrendous trade actually. A top 5 pick next year is easily worth the #1 this year, imo. You could probably stretch that outside the top 5, actually.

I agree, I thought NO would be giving up waaay too much in that deal. That's a trade rape on the Cavs end. Wont happen with the Cavs, now if that were the Lakers or Boston though....
  • Mulva
Haha what an awful trade for the pelicans. I hope they pull that trigger.

Oh ok. I see. I thought you meant bad for the Cavs.

Yeah, I agree. NO should be about the same next year, flirting with a 3-8 pick. That would be really good for the Cavs.
  • mucalum49
Pelicans would have a crazy good defense if they took Noel. Although it sounds like they want Len to go next to Davis. I'd do that deal for sure.
  • robj55
Seems like no one wants Thomas Robinson. Not sure what the deal is there.

Here's an article that I found informative on the issue.

NY daily news says nets have approached about trading 22nd pick for cj miles.
  • Crimson streak
The nets cavs and t'wolves are in talks
Cj miles and 26 pick to Brooklyn
    Marshon brooks to minny
    Cavs get 22nd pick

That would be an excellent deal
