I've heard they "like Richardson a lot", are "absolutely in love with Luck", are "very intrigued and interested in the athleticism of RG3" and are also "quite interested in Landry Jones and Tannehill."

They finally got over the hump and made the SB with him though...
Yeah, meaningful games. They didn't win too many of those without him. You need a WR like that to win the SB.

I've read pretty much the same thing and didn't take any comments from the presser to leaning one way or the other, same applies for this. I think the bottom line is that we won't know anything really until FA starts. If like in years past and going by what they are saying, that they don't intend to make a huge splash, then we won't know anything until the draft. It's frustrating My hope is that they do SOMETHING in FA. I am hoping that they're not so overly concerned about not tipping their hand as to draft intentions that in prevents them from doing anything.

Browns will take Coples and Landry Jones with the 2 first round picks, and the fans will commit mass suicide.
  • DeyDurkie5
They are not taking a qb with the first 3 picks. book it.
  • Automatik
A friend of mine is convinced they are trading their 2 first round picks to Indy for the #1 spot and taking Luck. He is dead serious and said he's been "reading up" on it. lol

Speaking with him was the first I've heard about it.
  • DeyDurkie5
If they can get luck, then throw what you have to throw to get him. I think luck is going to be a stud and eventually you have to get that type of qb. my last post was in relation to the fact that luck was taken by the colts with the first pick

With Irsay coming out and publicly saying that they are rebuilding, I can't imagine they wouldn't want to be in a position to draft Luck.

I think Manning is going to be available via free agency. I just don't think they will sign that roster bonus due in March.

If I were them, I would look at paying the bonus, restructuring Mannings contract, and then trading him. Basically you'd be paying the bonus for a whole bunch of draft picks. It makes sense for both sides. Peyton is guaranteed the money that he wouldn't get from anyone else, and the Colts get their picks to rebuild with.

I brought this up before, but I heard on Mike and Mike that they are almost guaranteed not to pay that in full in March. It's eitehr going to be "goodbye" or pay him the bonus over the next 3-4 years. That's of course assuming Manning agrees to that...which, he has no reason not to. I mean, it is guaranteed.

I can't see the Colts keeping him around for 3-4 years if they draft Luck, and unless I'm mistaken if he gets cut or traded the entire cap hit comes immediately. It only gets amortized over the duration of his contract if he's on the roster for the duration of the contract.

But there are so many different bonuses and shit in the NFL that I can't really make sense of it.

Yeah what they were saying made no sense to me, and I might have even messed up the para phrasing of what they were saying lol

I just know they said the bonus coming up in March is going to be spread out, or not paid.

Yeah, I wouldn't believe anything they say. A lot of bullshit gets spewed so they keep their poker face draft wise

His draft stock will never be higher, and what if he blows out a knee. Big mistake IMO

i think he was projected in the 2nd round.. i agree his stock right now is crazy. i don't know if he is trying to win a heisman or what his deal is. maybe he is thinking 1st round next year?

I think he would have gone in the high end of the second round. He's a good back. But their offensive line produces them year after year. I don't see him winning a Heisman or jumping to the 1st round. But you never know.

he is a really good back. i thought for sure he would come out. i wanted him on this team. because id hate to use the 4th pick on trent richardson. no rb is worth a 10 pick anymore.

Landry Jones staying at OU. Thank goodness I was afraid we might pick him.

Might bode well for the Browns and a trade rape.

What if we got a double trade rape? Trade rape the redskins to move to the 6th spot (get next years first rounder along with other picks). Then the Seahawks have a boner for Tannenhill and offer their first for next year to move to the 6th spot (along with other picks as well).

    One can only dream.

Stop talking about hypothetical situations. Skyhook will be here in no time.

Don't worry, we'll suffer through another 3/4 win season and pick him in next year's draft.
