This is more likely to happen. Heckert/Holmgren won't be willing to give up as much as the dolphins/redskins, especially only to move up one spot.

we are most likely going to trade out of that spot...unless they feel the need to get RG3.

I would be fine with this, but it is def likely another team leap frogs us with a trade with the rams/vikings.

And I wouldn't really be surprised if they try to throw the farm at the #1 pick for Luck. Holmgren knows he needs that franchise QB.

This, I don't want to happen.

Don't be surprised if it does. I think Holmgren knows he needs that stud QB to win in this division. I'd rather the QB fall to them but if they think they are landing the next Peyton Manning/John Elway I think they'll try.

When you say "farm," what would that consist of?

    Bring on luck

A lot. It would make the Falcons blush after what they gave up for Julio Jones.
  • DeyDurkie5
Fuck it...if luck pans out as expected, we are looking at peyton manning type production..in CLEVELAND..that would give me a boner every day.

Holmgren would be a complete idiot if he did this. I would say I am going to mentally prepare for this, but there is no way. I will be pretty pissed if they throw more than the Falcons. This team is in no position at all to be giving away all those picks.

I think it would take both of our firsts this year and our 1st next year. Quite possibly a 2nd this year as well.
  • Crimson streak
I don't think it will take 3 firsts and a 2nd I'm sure both our first this year and maybe a 2nd or 3rd next year would be about right especially if the browns pick 3rd

Honestly I'm so sick of shitty qbs in Cleveland I want a damn franchise guy. Luck is that guy he is going to be a stud. Do whatever it takes to get him. I really don't give a shit and in reality this team isn't that far away from being a legit contender. We're a legit qb another wr, corner, d end, and a lineman or 2

a peyton manning type player to the browns, think of that for those not wanting to throw the barn at whichever team it will be...think about the glory..

I remember when Mike Ditka threw the barn for Ricky Williams (the next great RB) that worked out great.

QB position a little more important than RB.

For every Peyton Manning type of player, there are 10 Jamarcus Russel, Tim Couch, Tim Tebow types too. I've seen nothing from Luck that makes me think he's going to be the next Peyton Manning and that's why I'd rather not throw the barn at him.

well that's your opinion..from what I have seen, he makes all the throws, is a big qb, mobile as shit, and is competitive...he's being compared to qb greats and from the eye tests, fits the mold as an NFL ready qb right now. You can take rg3, but if you can get luck, and he pans out, you are looking at a dominate qb for at least a decade.

I don't think you can pass that up.

Looks like the same profile on Ryan Leaf when he was going to the Pro's.

If the price is higher than that (both firsts and a second round), I would not trade for it. I do not see how any team other than the Browns could offer anything more without extending out for first round picks a few years into the future.
