We know how getting a CCW works douche. There's a difference between that and Belly's plan of literally forcing the staff to be trained, which my previous post pointed out could be very, very difficult.Apple;1767066 wrote:A good place to start may be have those who know teach those who don't? What a stupid question!
How about starting by having those who want to get trained pay for it themselves? Why put the responsibility on others when you can, and should, do it yourself? or maybe you're having a case of the entitlement feelz?
Anyone who wants to be assertive enough to take the personal initiative to want to protect him/herself and protect others!
Geez… almost sounds like you want the government to get involved in something you have the right to do yourself!

ZoltanTMZ weighing in. They have LA on lockdown so I tend to buy it.
One of the gunmen who shot up the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino was at a holiday party at the facility earlier Wednesday ... got into a dispute, then came back with his "buddies" and opened fire ... this according to a well-placed law enforcement source.
An LAPD source who has been well-briefed tells us, one of the gunman showed up for some sort of Christmas party for employees of the San Bernardino County Health Dept. The party was being held in one of the conference rooms that was rented out for the event ... and when the gunman returned, he went to same room and shot it up.
We do not know the nature of the dispute or why the gunman was at the party, but we're told the man was either kicked out or left voluntarily ... then came back with his friends. -

I'm not buying this unless the guy was a plant to scout the party. This was not a spur of the moment thing.Zoltan;1767099 wrote:TMZ weighing in. They have LA on lockdown so I tend to buy it.

Whether this is a part of this or not I think it is quite apparent that someone did not just come unglued over a dispute an this was planned well ahead of time.Zoltan;1767099 wrote:TMZ weighing in. They have LA on lockdown so I tend to buy it.

There is a program called SLATT state and local anti-terrorism training. But this is mostly for police officers training. My idea is to bring it to the public … corporation, business and class room of all levels with some alteration and structure training.Automatik;1767059 wrote:How would we go about this training? Who would pay for it? Who would be involved? What would qualify someone to undergo such training?
Presently there seem to be nothing of value or credence out there for the public.
But with a federal grant and some data, common sense and review of past terrorist attach a outline of safety, procedure and to do and not to do could be documented and a series of training lesson developed, business would be a start.
Business plan created and a new business created… who in with Belly?
This could be present for federal money and the start up business developed.
I have to idea, who, how and why ….. I just need the people to help get it off the grown.
Run which way, hide where and how, what type of room would be a safe room, what room in your build would be that room, what does a gun shot sound like, what are the secondary exits in the building where do they go, who does have a ccw or a weapon what and how to use it for defensive, who should be communicating with police, what type of information should be gather, ….. there is a shit load incoming information with in 30 seconds of a violent attack, that can be useful for your and other safety you just have to know how to process it. -

If you’re a gun owner and don’t have a level of proficiency, confidence and skilled knowledge of your weapon don’t carry it…lhslep134;1767071 wrote:Why allow the possibility of an untrained person, still licensed to own and operate a gun, returning fire in a crowded area?
Learning how to use a gun is one thing. Learning how to accurately shoot under pressure is a completely different thing. I suppose to you and Belly though, there's no difference.
If you think with a CCW pistol with a potential 10 or 12 round you are prepared for a fire fight or going to fire into a frantic group of people or try an hit a moving terrorist (why would a terrorist load with ammo be running) is your mentality…you are the perfect example of that uneducated civilian in a terrorist attack with no training …
Those 10 or 12 rounds can be a distraction element to the terrorist .you do understand that most attacks like this the attackers are not expecting a confrontation with in the first minute. -

From the info I've seen, this looks more like a terrorist-type attack than some disgruntled employee. Pipe bombs, automatic rifles with extra bands of ammo in duffle bags, GoPro cameras, explosives found at the home of the attackers. From what I've read, this doesn't look like a suicide mission. Looks like they had every intention of surviving with the prep they put into this.Spock;1767114 wrote:So do we know anything?
