Yeah, I missed that last night (was out and about for a bit) and didn't hear about it till about an hour after I made that post this morning.

It is a good first baby step for the leader of our nation.

    Welcome to America

Sorry America is closed … will be back when the world a safer place.
Over the years both political sides have screwed up from the altering of the Constitution to the simplest premise of Section 4, Article 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which states:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion
Until this potential threat of terrorist, illegal and unwarranted individual from invasion of our country is addressed and secured …. Sorry America is closed…

We have permitted the Federal Government to take a light hearted stance for years and now we are reaping the damaging repercussion of this Governmental and Political Failure

Back to basics: Close our boarders, protect the citizens from invasion of unwarranted individuals, terrorists threat and criminal identities, verification of all present and past visa and etc etc

OH! Term Limits also….that will help

Sorry Belly, I do not want my Government to discriminate a whole religion for "security".
I do not want my Government to turn away Americans that are coming home that are Muslims just due to their religion. That sounds very 1984 like.

I would rather live with the risk and try and use our current system than to ban all of one faith.

Is that the same system that does not protect our boarders, permits visa to expire, has created a illegal immigration problem, blame short stories for 4 dead Americans, etc etc

    NO THANKS ....

The problem with what we want is that it is against our government/current administration who does not want to make any meaningful changes to the current Visa application process.

Question: What is the logistic reason of the current Visa application process if nothing is verified? What is its purpose? A huge "make work" project?

When our government lets in anybody without verifying very much, yet the average American citizen has to take off their damn shoes to go through an airport, something is wrong...

We treat illegal aliens better than our veterans.

Has it been verified that they don't investigate at all? My wife came here on a K1 visa and we had to pay a couple thousand dollars. It would not surprise me if that just went into someone's pocket and they didn't do anything but I always assumed...

You mean like the pinko liberal Jimmy Carter did to the Iranians back in the day?

Because Jimmy Carter never said that he wanted to block all Iranians from coming in, AND that if an Iranian-American left the country, he wanted to block them from coming back, too.

If America is so rough, why not move?

Imagine if these terrorists had detonated a dirty bomb; me thinks everyone would be lining up on Trump's side.

Unfortunately, that day is probably coming and I don't have much faith in our bureaucrats being able to stop it; they seem too worried about political correctness.

Because it's much easier to incessantly complain on Facebook or a half-ass message forum and not really do anything about it.

People get off to bitching and moaning about the US, our government, etc. "zomg I'm fckin moving! 'Merica has gone to shit!" When in reality these people don't have the stones nor the ability to move to another country if they were actually serious.

I do have to admit it's darkly humorous to know that we live in a country where we can have mass shootings on a regular basis with very little reaction here beyond "Well, that's bad...BUT DAMN OBAMMY BETTER NOT GO AFTER MY GUNS!!!!!", but the minute one of those shootings gets done in the name of foreign terrorism (as opposed to domestic terrorism, such as the Planned Parenthood shooter in Colorado recently), we suddenly have people screaming for us to completely close our borders while clumsily forcing some of the most stupid politard comments into the mix.

    Gallows humor, but humor nonetheless.

What is your definition of "mass shootings," because the media sure likes to stretch that definition.

Sorry again, I do not want my Government to discriminate anyone based on religion. It sets an awful awful precedent,
I'm kind of stunned you R's want the Government to have the ability to do that.

We have been focusing on dirty bombs since after 9/11. None of those agencies or policies put in place on dirty bombs have gone away.
Political correctness...please...The good people at DNDO and DOE do not give a damn about political correctness. They care about securing loose nuclear material.
Step away from the cliff man. The politics of fear is strong in you.

So your mentality is, "when things get rough.... run away, run away" That's your mode of operation but I live by a dfifferent standard, to stay in the fight, improve what was once good and correct to make America a better place for Americans.... American Citizens
I couldnt give a rats ass about PC when it comes to defending and protecting America from invasion of a Islam life style by radical Muslims.

For me, going to a public place (business, church, public event) with the firepower to inflict multiple casualties upon anyone in your way. Where you're not focused on killing one singular person (or people, like in the case of that disgruntled former TV news employee who killed the cameraman and reporter a few months back) in general, but attempting to cause as much harm to as many people as possible before you're taken out.

What is the point of taking away guns from good, law-abiding people; unless you just want to discriminate against all of them in the name of a few crazed lunatics, or terrorists.

I'm come to the conclusion that if it isn't a Republican talking point, Quaker is unable to comprehend it.

"Tiny percentage of gun owners are psychos? No biggie!"

"Tiny percentage of immigrants are psychos? BIGGEST DEAL THAT'S EVER BEEN DEALT!!!!"

That's the annoying thing about politards; they all play the fear card to make their talking points seem more valid, while acting like the fear card is only being used by the other side. Far left people see a shooting and try to make it sound like any and all guns are bad and nothing good can ever come of regular people owning them. Far right people are currently acting like there's a bloodthirsty terrorist around every corner and we need to live in complete terror, closing our borders and essentially saying "YER KIND AIN'T WELCOME HAR" to any race or ethnicity we deem to potentially be a threat.

    Even though:

    1. The word "terror" is in terrorist for a reason and completely changing how we do things based on our fear of what they can do is essentially conceding that, yes, we're scurred and they've accomplished their mission. Or at least that phase of it.

    2. When anti-gun talk comes up, a big talking point is that just because you say law-abiding citizens can't have guns, that isn't going to stop criminals from obtaining them. I agree with that. If a criminal wants a gun, they aren't going to be deterred by laws saying they can't. I do find it hilarious that a lot of people saying that are incapable of grasping the VERY BASIC logic saying that just because you're barring people from entering a country, it doesn't mean that a potential terrorist won't be able to find a way to sneak in.
