Dear God, please save me from your "followers". I'm beginning to think God is very disappointed in all religions these days.

It takes more than holding a difference to truly have hate. I would gladly stand arm in arm with catholics most anytime I might have a chance.

Mr. Robertson admittance of sins and answering questions about his beliefs are no greater or worse than the thoughts words and actions you and I perform on a daily daily basis.
the nor will I ever be seems a rather harsh statement. Calling gay folks hateful terms like murderer and comparing them to practitioners of bestiality seems particularly hateful Especially when he seeks out an audience for his hateful sermon. And his lying description of life in one of the most violent racist areas of the Jim Crow South should be considered sinful

It may indeed seem that way to you but harshness is subjective. Using a "softer" statement may be less harsh but wouldn't change the intent of satisfaction in the the theology I have accepted and having no desire to leave it.

No matter the sin Mr. Robertson has committed, understanding that all men are born into sin and it being unavoidable makes you and I as much of a sinner as he is.

Loath? Quite the opposite. I respect it and hope they do mine...but that is for them individually to decide.

Nope. You have to be a fucking nutcase to believe some of the stuff the catholic church tries to shove down your throat.

Husband beat the hell out of you and you get a divorce, but the church has to decide if they approve of the divorce and allow you to get married? Crazy

    Priests raping little boys? Crazy.

But millions have lived in ignorance like you and having accepted a false belief system and have no desired to leave it.

"nor will I ever be." seems a deadend in a search for the truth.
I don't know about you, but I am not as big a sinner as a lying racist homophobe like Phil Robertson

you seem to have a harsh attitude toward the Church

it seems that any organized belief system has had abuses.

I believe I have found the truth. That in and of itself is the end.

Thinking you are no more of a sinner than any other man might be akin to a lack of truth. You can't avoid sin any more than Mr. Robertson or me.

What appears from opinion doesn't necessarily equal what is.

but Phil found more sin and became an active practitioner of gender and racial hatred.

we only have your words to form the basis of judgement

You will be empty of all other proof if it's only these words on this bulletin boards you rely upon. I wish you luck.

Your judgment will be what you wish it to be.

Mr. Robertson's actions have no bearing on our ability to avoid sin. No matter what he does, you and I will sin in either thought word or action and be as guilty as any other man except for Christ himself.

I know it is not much, but it is the complete basis I have for forming a judgment of you.

Agreed in that it's not much. Being judged by others, however, is hardly a concern of mine when contributing to a discussion of person's making up pop culture. Maybe that's why such little supporting evidence is offered.

Mr. Robertson by using his national platform to spread his message of hate has helped to increase sin more than we average folk.

...and yet his sin is no greater volume than you or I will purport.

    according to what you believe.
